Gilmore Girls Episode Recap:
Lorelai slept over at Sookie & Jackson’s place, and it’s now the morning. They are "attempting" to be super quiet. Jackson "quietly" asks Sookie if Lorelai said anything last night, but Sookie says Lorelai was "somewhere else" all night while they sat and had tea. 
Sookie knows it’s Luke, but doesn’t know the specifics. Lorelai has been awake, looking very depressed, the whole time.
It’s a chipper morning for Taylor until he spots a new guy playing guitar in Stars Hollow (Guest Star: Joe Pernice). He’s speechless (in a bad way) while this troubadour sings Amazing Glow by the Pernice Brothers.
Rory has her camera out to photograph ever moment of Logan’s Yale graduation day. Rory has convinced him, for the benefit of the loved ones, to attend his graduation ceremony. Rory plans to avoid the Huntzbergers.

Gilmore Girls officially aired it’s last episode one year today. As the one-year anniversary of the end of Gilmore Girls, it is fitting that today is also the final episode in the Gilmore Girls marathon we started way back in November.
Gilmore Girls began on October 5, 2000 and enriched our lives with 154 episodes right up until the final episode of Season 7 on May 15, 2007. Since that time, GilmoreGirlsNews.com has kept you up to date with any news about Gilmore Girls, any campaigns to bring the show back, and all the latest on the wonderful cast. Television has never seen a community as strong and as devoted as this one, and it’s a pleasure for me to be a part of keeping that going.
On November 7th, we began re-watching Season 1 through 6 of Gilmore Girls as they aired each weekday on ABC Family. Today we will be watching the season finale for Season 6.
ABC Family will not be continuing to Season 7, probably a syndication license issue, so will be re-starting the entire series again tomorrow. So, now we have a choice. Do we continue watching Season 7? I have those recapped already in the same detail as we’ve been doing thus far, and can simply add some discussion questions.
Or do we start over again from Season 1? If we do this, we can go into more depth with some of the cultural references, the choices in the writing, the growth of the characters, the guest stars, or just about anything. I would also love to invite you guys in, if you choose this path, to be guest writers here. Knowing when the episodes will air, and having full references to the episodes, I’d love to give you an opportunity to write some articles - your thoughts, some fun pieces on the pop culture references, some quotes, the music, or anything you would like. Whether related to a specific episode, or an article relating to the show or season or theme. I will write some too - but this community is special because of all of you, so this is a great chance to be a part of that.
So, as always with this site, the decision is yours! Let me know what you want, and we’ll follow that path!

- Why did they decide to donate money to Yale? Is this a public statement of their involvement in Rory’s life?

- Why is Luke so angry to hear that TJ and Liz are not together? Is it his misplaced emotions of missing fatherhood, or concern for Liz?

Lorelai is gesticulating wildly about someone who either looks better or worse with dark hair. Emily takes away the plates, being fed up with Lorelai making her point by waving the meatball. Emily says spaghetti and meatballs makes the girls fight.
Emily is having Lasik surgery on her eyes. She’s quite excited about it, and about the cute doctor who is supposed to be the best surgeon on the east coast. Richard gets jealous and says ugly people make the best doctors.

Samantha Who? Episode Highlights:
- Todd and Sam are making out in the history section of the bookstore, still sneaking around. Sam says no more fooling around until Todd tells Chloe
- Sam didn’t know it was her own birthday!
- Regina is throwing Sam a birthday party, and Sam asks Dena to do the guest list (bad choice, she doesn’t know anybody). Andrea says they always went to the spa for their birthdays.
- Todd and Chloe come to the cafe where the girls are, but it doesn’t look much like Todd is breaking up with Chloe.
- Sam confronts Todd, who initially tries to lie about breaking up with Chloe. He spent all day with her. Sam is mad she’s becoming a "boyfriend stealing whore"
- Todd says Chloe’s aunt is in the hospital… so, Chloe is vulnerable, as is Sam (celebrating her 1st birthday)
- Andrea tells Regina that Samantha’s party cannot be there, it will be at her place instead (oh, the animosity!). Sad to lose out on people making their own placemats, Regina reluctantly agrees

Early word has it that Aliens in America will not be renewed for a Season 2.
The CW Upfronts just happened, and the Aliens in America cast were not there.
Despite very rave reviews for one of the best comedies to hit tv in a while (the last episode was one of my favorites!), the show went largely unnoticed by viewers. Sadly, the ratings have sent it the way of The Return of Jezebel James, which barely got off its feet before it was cancelled.
The CW schedule posted on E! Online after the upfronts does not include the Sunday programming, which was never a good place to put Aliens in America in the first place. Word from every corner of the news has it that Aliens in America has been officially cancelled. What a bummer!! I hope Scott Patterson gets another tv role, I’m going to miss seeing him!

- Why is Kyon still there? Wasn’t she only there on temporary exchange?
- When the plans are a bust, why don’t they head back to Lorelai’s for a big girls-only party?
- After all her concerns about Chris interfering with Luke, why does Rory invite him as Lorelai’s date to the wedding?
- Why do you think Lane’s grandmother became so angry? Because she saw Zack?
- Why does Mrs. Kim assume Lane knows nothing of sex?

- Despite all the serious efforts Logan has made of late in his school and career, why does Rory keep referring to Logan as being only a party-boy?

- Why does Chris take Lorelai from the couch to the bed, if he just finished putting her on the couch?

Gilmore Girls Episode Recap:
Kim’s Antiuqes is "Closed for Wedding" and Mrs. Kim happily oversees a kitchen full of Korean women making kimchi, soon to be making dumplings. Lane comes down and is swarmed by her nosy relatives - but sent back upstairs to her hot kimchi-smelling room so the cooking is done on time.
Lorelai comes by with Lane’s wedding dress. Mrs. Kim gets a call and comes out rather distracted. Lorelai pulls out the dress for her, and tells her she made some modifications due to stains, but tried to keep the integrity of the dress. Though it is a whole new dress, essentially (Lane has a huge smile for this), Mrs. Kim doesn’t even notice. Lorelai tells Lane to hide the dress so Mrs. Kim doesn’t notice it has a waist until it’s too late.

Aliens in America 1.17 "Wake at the Lake"

Aliens in America Episode Highlights:
- Medora High has two graduates on the FBI’s Most Wanted list. A thing to be proud of.
- Justin talks through unpopular Medora extracurricular activities, including SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), whose president is Raja (the only one there not on court order)
- The SADD club prepares an annual "Wasted Life" event, and Raja has been procuring things like blood and a coffin as part of his job as Grim Reaper (he must also choose which student to die in the mock car accident
- Medora’s oldest teacher, Mrs. Lockard, is retiring and Claire is sad to lose her favorite teacher (who would give her an A, instead of an F, just for being pretty)
- Gary doesn’t even flinch when Raja mentions finding a student to kill - he just remembers his own senior yearbook portrait (due to beer, his friends drew a moustache and his name onto his face with permanent marker)
- Justin informs Raja that the most popular kid always gets to be the mock-accident victim - that’d make the choice Dan Archer for this year. Popular kids always get everything.
- Franny goes to a bachelorette party with a stripper and finds it a little too X-rated for her tastes. Not so for Raja’s pediatrician or the president of the PTA! Franny leaves with her sex toy party gift
- Raja, dressed as the Grim Reaper, comes into Justin’s class dramatically announcing that a young life has been snuffed out by an accident. But, the Grim Reaper is not pointing at Dan Archer, but at Justin Tolchuck!

Heroes actors Milo Ventimiglia and Zachary Quinto were walking around the West Village in New York on May 11th when they ran into co-star Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard - a Heroes re-union, of sorts! (One more after the jump)
