Spoiler: New baby on Gilmore Girls
The latest Gilmore Girls Seas 7 spoiler is that there will be at least one new baby to Stars Hollow - the town is growing.
We know already that Liz, Luke’s sister, is pregnant.

I think it is either going to be rory or lorelai, but i don’t think they would make lorelai have another kid, then again she is with luke. But rory is in a relationship too. i don’t know how you guys are getting lane….I vote Lorelai first, then rory.

Sookie cannot possibly have a baby — Jackson had a vasectomy.
It is highly unlikely that Rory will become pregnant. The show has make huge gains in society by getting people over the fact that Lorelai had a baby at 16, out of wedlock, etc. They wouldn’t do the same thing twice. It would kill the show and divert too far from the character of Rory.
Paris? Again, way out of character.
Here are my theories:
* Lane just got married; the equation seems simple.
* Liz is pregnant (as we already know), so maybe this is hype for something of which we are already aware. I like the twins theory though, Andy.
* Lulu and Kirk are a long-term item, so there is a possibility.
* Honor is a definite possibility. She’s just gotten married, and I bet they would love to bring her back. I think she’s a great character on the show.
* Lorelai… I doubt it, unless this is the last season. Although it would be a fabulous issue to raise during the spring months… whose is it? Chris or Luke’s?

My best guess is that it is NOT Rory, since the spoilers I have been reading have been saying that she starts dating other guys with Logan overseas. The thing with Lorelai being pregnant is that would just be her having another baby, and if it was Chris’, then that would mean that he fathered her two children and that they might as well get married, since the show would basically be setting them up together as it being their destiny. If Luke was Lorelai’s supposed baby’s father, then they might rekindle their love, but that would be the end of the show. They seem to be right for each other, but the writers of the show would not want to kill the show. Plus, this show has really gotten stupid, with Lorelai being so wimpy and unwilling to talk to Luke about why she wasn’t allowed to be with his daughter, and she should have stood up for herself, so that she and Luke could have a fighting chance at actually getting to the “wedding”. If she had any heart at all, she would go find Luke and talk to him, because until she does, and she is honest with him, there is NO, and I mean No, chance of them lasting. Whenever Lorelai is upset, she always does something stupid, aka: CHRISTOPHER, SLEEPING W/ CHRISTOPHER, TELLING LUKE THAT THEY ARE OVER.
It would be pretty stupid for people to think that Sookie was pregnant, especially since her husband had a vasectomy, at the end of last season, after the birth of their daughter.
It is totally impossible for Emily to have a baby. HELLO?? Whoever mentioned her as possibly having a baby is not very smart, unless she was to adopt a baby, or something like that.
Paris, with a baby, is just unthinkable, since she and her boyfriend are not completely sane (LOL). Maybe having a baby would stabilize her a little bit, but that would be just like what happened to Lorelai, and that would not be a stupid thing for the writers for do.
I don’t believe that Liz is pregnant with twins, since I think that she and TJ would have enough to handle, but maybe the writers are tricking us, and they are talking about their baby.
This is all so confusing! I just can’t wait for season 7 to premiere!

I hate the idea of rory getting pregnant, because that would mean that lorelai would be a grandmother. That is pretty scary. It’s also a possibility that Honor would get pregnant, or lane, because they both just got married.

ok first of all my appluads to the genius who for either emily or sookie. Well, for the people who actually have a clue as to what is going on in the show, they would know that emily and sookie are out of th question. To answer jessie honor is Logan’s sister. (you say her in season 5 i believe). Anyways, i don’t think it is honor or lane or lulu because that would just be kinda boaring. There’s nothing to it and there’s no drama involved and this show is all about the drama. Plus it wouldn’t really do anything to the plot so it would be prety pointless. As for Parisi don’t think its her either because gain its not THAT exciting and paris isn’t really evn a main charcter anymore. Personally though, i do hope its Paris. I mean come on PARIS GELLER as a mother!!! It would be hysterical. But unfortunately i don’t think its her. That leaves lorelai and rory.Now, rory is a strong possibiity. Its always been said she is a lot like her mother and hey having a kid young and being unmarried has lorelai written all over it. And it would also bring logan and rory closer and said i other spoilers (it is said that the two stay very close). But then again i have this feeling that it for some reason isn’t rory. I think this because rory finally got off the bad path and just got back to yale and know she leaave againto have a baby and raise it. i mean at this rate rory’s never going to graduate. So this just leaves lorelai my money is on her because they can realy do a lot with this. Theycan ake a whole big deal. Lorelai’s pregant but whose the father Chris or luke???? Can you say DRAMA!!! And like i said this show always has a lot of drama. And it said that this season lorelai luke and chris will all really be involved!!! Now if luke is the father it would bring them back together. but i think its chris. Then luke would obviusly find out about lorelai sleeping with chris!!I think lorelai will start a family with chris and lukke will become a family with anna and april. Ok just one more thing. I know its far fetched but hey i can’t help myself. Especially since no one has mentioned this one yet. I think both lorelai and rory are pregant.It has been said that the it is likely that this is the final season. And the final episode has already been written and it is between lorelai and rory. I thik it is the two of them having a conversation about their new babies and what they are going to do with their lives now. it seems like a natural ending. one chapterof their lives are over and now they are talking about what is ahead of them. (i think they both have little girls) Then again they could both have boys . you like gilmore guys!!!

Um, has anyone noticed that April is up on the poll? Why would she be pregnant? She’s TWELVE!! I agree that it would be good drama if Lorelai was pregnant and Luke and Christopher spent the season arguing about who was going to take care of her and then at the end of the season you find out who’s the father. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I really like Kate’s idea that both lorelai and rory are pregnant together. And it wouldn’t be far fetched that rory would have a baby. She is 21 so she waited five years later than her mother. And there was talk that she dates other people while Logan is away so what if she accidentally gets pregnant causing problems between her and Logan. I agree with the whole Lorelai will get pregnant but the drama is, is it Luke’s or Christopher’s. I am going back and forth on this in my head. I have heard that this might be the last season. I read on the WB site that writers Amy and Daniel Palladino (spelling) left the show after this last season. They will not be with the show in season 7 when they go to the CW. It is possible that this will be the last season. And the whole show has been about Lorelai and Luke getting together. Or has it? Either Lorelai and Luke will have the baby and get married like the show was destined. Or Lorelai will descover that her soul-mate has been Christopher all along. I guess we will have to wait for season 7 to get all of our questions answer. I can’t wait for the season to start back up. Again, I like the idea of both Lorelai and Rory being pregnant together. Hope it happens. p.s. I hope they are not trying to throw us off by mentioning there will be a baby and mean Liz, which we already know.

Yeah, I am with Rayc. While Anna seems like a nice woman and Character and I admit I enjoyed the fact that Luke has a daughter and wasn’t a complete hermit before he got with Lorelai, but If Luke and Anna get together I am most likely going to switch of my T.V. I wouldn’t be a big fan of Lorelai and Christopher getting together either even though it might be a possibility. I would love to see Lorelai and Luke tie the knot and have a baby!

Haha, Anna having a baby? She doesn’t seem to want Luke around much, I can’t see her suddenly jumping in the sack with him, especially while everything is so complicated with April. If the comment she made in “Driving Miss Gilmore” was any indication, she likes April to think of her as a nun, and doesn’t let April meet her boyfriends until they have been around a LONG time. I think a pregnancy would sort of crash and burn that philosophy.

Yeah, I also have the idea that when they said a baby, they mean liz’s and they are tricking us to believe it’s someone else. Kate, I like all the ideas that you are coming up with. But I don’t think it would be Madeline or Louise. Isn’t the last time they were on is when Rory and Paris went to spring break? I agree with you that we haven’t seen them in a while but I think their character’s ships have sailed. I mean if one of them showed up and announced they were pregnant, I think us fans would shrug and go “oh that’s cool” and not give it another thought. And I don’t think they will introduce a new character with such a big dilemia unless it’s a relative or something, and if it was a new character, again we’d shrug and say “um, okay” at least I know that’s how I would react. I would be happy if it is Lane who is pregnant, I really want it to be Lorelai or Rory, Paris would be okay. Other than those character’s it would just be okay. Again, I really want it to be Rory or Lorelai, or both! bye bye fans.

Babbette’s kid would be so weird… I think she and Miss Patty are just a wee bit to old for a kid. And while Lorelai had the nun philosophy Kate, her daughter was 16 in season one. The nun thing becomes less necessary. Plus like you said, she didn’t sleep with Max that first night even though she wanted to. And she kept max and rory apart at first as well.

They are ALWAYS trying to trick us. Like when liz was having a baby…tons of people thought it was rory or lorelai. Somebody said that it had to be rory or lorelai and it wouldn’t be honor or whatev because it wasn’t that big of a plot… i mean who knows you could be right… but i think they are just makin it bigger than it is… i REALLY don’t think its Rory or the whole liz twins thing…

Ha, I agree with “me” above. I stand by the Anna thing though… she doesn’t seem to want Luke around much. Heck, she was never going to tell him about April, it was sort of a slip on her part that April tested Luke and found out the truth. She isn’t exactly friendly with Luke and we’ve never seen them spend time together other than the occasional “Don’t screw up my kid” moments. I think a pregnant Lane would be fun, but not rock and roll as Hep Alien tries to get a record deal. She is also only 21… kinda young to have kids in my opinon.

yea, i agree with caitlin… lane’s too young. the most logical option for me would be HONOR, since she is both middle-aged and married. if lorelai and luke happen to get married mid-season (highly unlikely!) then it would be ok for lorelai to have a kid. but knowing the show, she would probably get pregnant without marrying and we would be left in suspence as to whether the kid is luke’s or christopher’s.

To answer the “me” above… it was April’s science fair project that she did under the supervision of her uncle. I don’t think Anna was ever going to tell April or Luke, but since April wanted to know Anna didn’t stop her from finding out the hard way (and by hard I mean scientifically). And since Kate won’t get off the Anna trail, I respond with a hell yes, in real life people do stop caring about eachother all the time. Why do you think 2 out of 3 modern marriages end in divorce? Its been 13 years since Anna got pregnant (just to correct everyone April turned 13 in Super Cool Party People). She and Luke have both moved on, and they broke up before Anna knew she was pregnant… hence they had grown apart and stopped being in love. And I disagree with Rayc, just because Lane is married doesn’t mean she is ready for a baby.

Yeah I dont think Anna knew April was conducting the experiment. Thats why she was running around on her bike, plus Anna was also not at the science far its self. I think it’s pretty obvious that Anna still has feelings for Luke after Super Cool Party People when she got so mad at Luke for Lorelai helping out. Also Lane could be ready for a baby, if she’s Catholic then they believe that they should not use birth control, and Lane seems pretty devoted to the sex part of her religion, since she waited for Marriage to have sex in the first place.

Lane is a 7th Day Adventist. And only strict Catholics believe in no birth control… I certainly know plenty of Catholics who do use different methods of birth control. Its just not encouraged by the Vatican. Also, a lot of people usually try and get used to being married before having a kid. Lane works at the diner and Zack works a minimum wage job too… couldn’t even afford a ring. Babies may be tiny, but they are very expensive. There are a lot of thigs to consider before having a baby besides the fact that Zach and Lane are married.
Besides, since when does being married mean that Zach and Lane won’t use birth control? Lots of married people do. Lane isn’t religious, but in Season 5 when she says she can’t have sex before marriage, she is surprised, because thats the only thing that stuck from her Christian upbringing.

CAitlin my dear i don’t seem to be the only one who can’t get off of their anna theory. hmmm hmmm. anysways there is one very important fact that you seem to be over looking here or maybe just forgetting- IT’S A SHOW!!!! who cares about real life and 2 out of 3 marriage statistics . in the tv world reality does not exist. THis is a made up show and they are going to write it however they want regardless of what goes on in the real world. And just for the record, if you took time to read my comment oringinal comment on anna before passing judgement on it, i stated that it was a little farfetched but it was fun to think up things and be creative. For some reason, I don’t like Logan and Rory together. I like Logan and all but not with rory. They just don’t seem right for each ohter. And I know that him calling her Ace is supposed to be a little pet name but to me I feel like when he calls her Ace he is talking down to her or disrespecting her. just my opinion. And I want Rory pregnant but I don’t want her pregnant by some random guy that she dates to get her mind off Logan while he is overseas. I would like her to be pregnant by Jess. If that can’t happen even tho I don’t like her with Logan, if it’s not Jess’s then maybe she will get pregnant before he leaves and she finds out while he is gone and he tells his dad to get lost and taht he is going home to be with Rory and their baby. Sorry Kate, I’m sort of a realist. But you are right, its just a show… but like a lot of people here its my favorite show. After 6 years I feel invested in the outcome. And I always read all comments before I post, just skimmed by the “thinking outside the box part.” Maybe there is only going to be Liz’s baby and we’re all kidding ourselves into thinking someone else would be pregnant. I was thinking about the people who want Lulu to be the one and it made me laugh… can you imagine Kirk as a father? Just picturing him holding a baby and being like, “where do I put the bottle?” made me choke on my coffee.

The reason why people think there is going to be another baby besides Liz’s is because in an interview with David, he said that there may be more than one baby, but they may be just trying to trick us. I defently don’t think it’s going to be one of the gilmore girls, because as you may recall in season 6 they gave us a hint that there would be a wedding this season. and everyone thought it was going to be one of the gilmores but it was Lane.

In the interview with David Rosenthal he said that there might be a baby this season. Lorelai might not be pregnant now. Luke and Lorelai could get married and have a kid this season. Maybe when Lorelai wakes up in the season premiere she’ll chew Christopher out and never see him again. If Lorelai got pregnant and didn’t know who the father was that would be too much drama. I don’t want Rory to get married or get preganat before Lorelai because Lorelai wants to be married and have another kid really bad. Plus Rory has big dreams to be a journalist and travel. I want to see the show end with Rory doing what she has talked about doing for the past six years and Lorelai happily married with a kid. If it wasn’t maybe going to be the last season a little more drama might be good and honestly I don’t want to see Lorelai make anymore mistakes like getting pregnant and not knowing who the father is.

Telling Richard and Emily could be very interesting… I’m thinking a combination of Friday Night’s Alright for Fighting and Christopher Returns.

I think Sherri, Christopher’s ex-wife should come back and be Mom to GiGi, Rory and Logan should elope in the UK, Lane should have a baby with a cool rock and roll name, Luke and Lorelai should get back together and find out she is pregnant with Luke’s Baby (so should be a boy), I am not a big fan of Anna, but Lorelai with April is cool, maybe Anna could die and April could live with Luke and Lorelai in the new big house Richard and Emily are buying for her. Paris shouldnt have a baby, but maybe with her medical background be the one to deliver Lorelai’s baby or even Lane’s.

Wow Brandy you sure have thought about the seventh season havent you? Well that would be nice if Sherri would come back and take care of GiGi. Well the whole thing about “Rory and Logan should elope in the UK” is just a little bit strange. I do not think that they would end up eloping, but it would be nice if Logan could somehow escape from what his father wants him to do, so then Rory and him can be together instead of having to try to long distance relationship. Cause Rory should not have to go through with what Jess did. If Logan does not call her or at least write her, or not answer Rory’s calls then they should not be together. If that happens and Rory takes him back, when and if Logan comes back to Rory, then maybe she should have done the same thing with Jess. But, I thought that whenever Richard and Emily said that they were going to buy a house for Lorelai, I thought that Lorelai turned them down and basically told them that she was fixing up her own house. I thought, but maybe I was wrong. Someone please tell me so then I could stop thinking about that. Cause now that is going to bug me for some time. Well about from what Brandy said about Lorelai and April. I do not think that that should happen, because it is really all of April’s fault for Lorelai and Luke breaking off the wedding totally. Well, then again, it was kind of Lukes fault too. First of all, how he did not tell Lorelai that he had a kid for two months. Again, it is Lukes fault for actually going to the science fair to see if he was Aprils father. Also, again its Lukes fault for not going after Lorelai when she walked away from him when they completly cancelled their wedding. Well, it kind of would be okay if Lane had a baby. But then again, with the band starting to make gigs and everything, it would probably brake them up. Cause she can not really take care of a baby and be in the band and go to gigs. So, Lane having a baby, would kind of in a way be a bad thing. Why would you even think that Rory would go crazy? I dont think that that is even cool to say. But, I do not think that she would just go out and sleep with another guy just because Logan has left. Like some of the spoilers said, Rory and Logan are going to try the long distance relationship even if it is a very long distance away. Well, I think that is all I have to say for now, so tell me what you think. I know that this comment is very long, but it does have some very good points.

Rachel, to ease your mind about the whole Emily and Richard buying Lorelai and Luke a house. Emily offered to buy them the house after Lorelai’s house was already remolded. When Emily revealed that they were buying Lorelai and Luke a house, Lorelai said don’t bother cuz it seems the wedding will be called off. This was after everything was pushed back and then after Lorelai told Emily that the wedding might be called off, she gave Luke the ultimatium and we all know how that turned out. Elina: Rory is 21. Hence, 21 is the Loneliest Number in season 6. She turns 22 in October or November, I’m not positive on the exact date since her birthday episodes are inconsistent on the show. Why would anyone want to see Rory pregnant before she graduates from Yale? That would be great watching her receive her diploma and go into labor, sure… what a FANTASTIC idea (note this should be read dripping with sarcasm). I’m with Rayc, a double wedding would be so cliche and 7th Heaven like. Kate is right, Rory would never elope without Lorelai. Lorelai wouldn’t do it without Rory either, as she said in Vineyard Valentine. And for everyone… Rory is on birth control. There is an explicit scene in season 5 when Lorelai asks her point blank on the phone, and Rory gets embaressed and whispers into the phone that she is on the pill. Since she’s been having regular sex with Logan for a year, I HIGHLY doubt that has changed. Does put a kabash on pregnancy theories.

i really don’t get the whole lorelai and luke thing- in the begining i was excited but there’s no spark really. by the endof season 6 i HATED them together and the season finale made me so happy LORELAI AND CHRIS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!! they just have better chemistry and more history togther and hellooooo a kid too! they have similar personalities the way they grew up in rich homes and hated their childhood and dreaded seeing their parents. they bot also left their rich families for a more casual lifestyle. and they both can never seem to find the one. even when they get close (lorelai engaged to max and chris engaged to sherri) they just can’t seem to go though with it.Like lorelai said in one of the earlier seasons — shes always had chris in the back of her mind all these years thinking one day maybe he can pull it together and they can become a family and those were lorelais words

Ya I know about the 403 thing… loved the Madeleine Albright cameo last year… however Rory’s birthday episodes are inconsistent and sometimes air in October and sometimes in November. Example: The Season one episode Rory’s Birthday Parties aired in november, while the 21 ITLN episode aired in late October.
Also the double wedding was a nightmare, the two sets of twins couldn’t make up their minds on anything and were alternatly fighting or crying. No one was happy until AFTER the wedding itself started.

I know that my friend Bre, her cousin and her best friend had a double wedding, and it was the most stupidest thing that I have ever seen. They are really tacky. Rory already gave Mitchum a piece of her mind in “Parting” and Mitchum was right *gasp* Logan does need to grow up. And even though they love each other, Logan needs to leave and make it on his own so he can loose his jerkyness. Like Jess did.
The reason why people think that Lorelai might be pregnant is because i’m guessing they didn’t use any protection, because it was unplanned and Chris wasn’t having any sex at the moment with any women. And we all know how furtile Chris is….
But i would seriously hate it if either Rory or Lorelia got pregnant, it would ruin their special bond, and ruin the show. Lane or Lulu all the way man, Kirk would make an interesting father because he is already like a big kid.

As usual Rayc, we are thinking along the same lines. I think Logan has to go away, and I thought that the characters all made it clear that it was for the best. He isn’t coming back to Yale/Stars Hollow just yet. Interviews with the actor all seem to indicate a lot of phone conversations with Rory. Its time for Logan to give up the wild partying and Life and Death Brigade stunts and become an adult who can function in the real world. If he and Rory can keep it together, I think it could actually a)strengthen their relationship and b) redeem Logan in my eyes.

Well Lad, that does sound a little like the WB (or CW as it is now). Dear god, that would be an AWFUL plot arc for GG. Seems like it is a pre-req for most WB shows that teens have to get pregnant or have pregnancy scares before graduating from college…Felicity, Dawson’s Creek, 7th Heaven (yes Lucy was married but she was still in college when she got pregnant with her daughter and Sandy of course),Angel (connor was 18), Veronica Mars… just to name a few. Is “lauren graham” the real lorelai? Im confused. I still think it is going to be Christopher and Lorelai’s baby. Because watching all the old episodes for some reason Lorelai always seems to help out Christopher, and everytime Lorelai is in a relationship Chris becomes invlovled.

As if people who are shooting the first half of the season have time to search for and read blogs and forums about their show…no one ever believes it.

alright fine but i just dont want people to lose hope on luke and lorelai, they are meant to be, and anyone who likes chris is just an idiot just because he was better in season 6 doesnt mean that luke is bad, and that doesnt mean that chris is trust worthy, he’s not!! hes just a stupid little liar and he will break her heart again if she falls into his trap. now im sorry i lied and i know i didnt do it well just please dont lose hope on Luke and Lorelai, the whole main show is for them to get together!!!!!!!!!

ok soooo, i been busy and haven’t written for awhile because i have a life. anyway, yo all the new people basically just listen to caitlin and rayac becaus ethey’re almost always right and have good ideas and aren’t saying stupid things.
new idea ( and its about time- i haven’t had one for forever) logan cheats on rory in the uk because hes a jerk or upset or misses having a girlfriend near him or pulls a one time deal or whatver and gets the girl pregnat. now, the old unresponsible logan wouldn’t care and would stay with rory but, the reason why hes there is to grow up and actually act like an adult. so, what if he has to make a decesion or something like that

we are all forgeting one thing it says that stars hollow is growing. it might be or it might be a trick to make us think. that only people in stars hollo will become a parent or a sibling.

Could be, but it would be sort of pointless to have some random character on the fringe be the pregnant character. I get the impression that the pregnancies will be a major part of the season and will be front and center… not the twice a year type of appearances from Honor (Logan’s sister) in which she will announce a pregnancy and then later on have a kid. The baby plot seems more prominant than that. I hate it but I think most sources are pointing to Lane as one of the pregnant women (she is sooo young! My age… I can’t imagine having a kid at 21. Besides, it’s so not rock n’ roll to take a kid on tour). I want it to be Lorelai because she wants another kid (this one with Luke) very much.

hi all!!! can it just be said that i am shocked!!! i live in melbourne and gilmore girls got cancelled from our screens at the end of season 4! ive only just got season five on dvd and thought that the show had been cancelled for good. (there is no promos in any magazines). i’m still coming to terms with rorey living with her grandparents, so you can understand the thrill i had when i found out that the show didnt end with lor proposing to luke and him saying “what”. then i was so excited to find out that they were engaged. yay. but then it all went to crap with lor sleeping with chris. oh my god… brain overload!!! i just want to end with saying please oh please let it be lorelai that is pregnant and please let it be to luke. i didnt wait five years for them to finally get together and have them break up bcoz of chris. i would be shattered. luke and lorelai are made for each other. i so want them to have the happy ending they deserve. thanx hope i didnt bore you guys.

i just had an idea maybe it is lor that gets pregant but then she miscaries it. that would create drama and then she would need to be comforted by the ? man. hopefully luke and not chris.

yeah i know that 7th heaven and one tree hill are doing miscarriges this fall but let’s see it this way if loreali get’s pregant she’ll have to marry that man. so if it’s c she’ll marry him because he is now the father of her two kids. if it’s l she’ll marry if and bla bla bla. so eithier way lor gets married and the bring gg to a crash. that’s just my theory

I think it would be nice if Lorelai could get married and have some happiness… she is 38 for crying out loud, she is losing those child-bearing years. She has said a few times she is ready for another kid. I think it would be fun watching her do the newlyweds thing. it wouldn’t have to crash with good writing. Amy S-P would kill it, Rosenthal might be able to pull
