Gilmore Girls Recap: 7.07 “French Twist”

by Arieanna on November 14th, 2006

Episode Name: "French Twist" aka "The Proposal"
Episode Number: 7.07
Air Date: November 14, 2006

Lorelai and GiGi, GiGi getting quizzed on how to say Bonjour. BTW, she is such a cute kid now! Sitting in that cute outfit with her blonde pigtails. So cute. Lorelai mentions that Paris is the "city of love." Hint hint. But they are doing such a good job of making sure GiGi feels good about going to Paris to see her mom.

Yale Daily News party for Rory as thanks for being editor and as good luck for her future. They give her gifts - a large pencil and a frame of her last edition. Then Paris chimes in about Rory being honest, direct and to the point. But all the while she’s bitter about the difference between Rory’s time on the Daily as editor and Paris’. She didn’t exactly get a nice farewell, now did she?

Rory then expresses her thanks to the other journalists. She seems very sad to be stepping down. Being in her last year, she can no longer stay on as editor, but boy is she sad. She passes on the celebratory drinks for the "new" editor. Poor Rory, a phase in her life is ending.

Lane. TWINS!! It’s confirmed. TWINS. OMG, Zach thinks they are conjoined. lol. One baby, not so easy. Two, a little hard. OMG, Lane is so pregnant looking. Really really. Wait till you see the pictures!! And Lane has not told Mrs. Kim yet. It’s not going to be an easy conversation, that’s for sure. But at least we’ll get to see Mrs. Kim.

Paris. I can firmly say their hotel room is better than any I stayed in while on my honeymoon in Europe! Oh boy. So pretty. Chris congratulates Lorelai for being so great with GiGi and with Sherri. Sherri was all ready for GiGi, with the right preparation, which is a big deal for her.

Lorelai then realizes they are in Paris, the most beautiful city. And then Chris calls to make a reservation at one of the best restaurants in Paris while Lorelai cuddles in the comfy bed. Chris pulls the sweet guy out and says thanks to Lorelai again.

Paris is being offered a teaching assistant position, which may get her a scholarship later on. And then grills Rory to see what her plans are - grad school? Paris warns Rory about a tailspin after leaving the paper. Whole bunch of free time. Lots of angst. Paris suggests calling Lucy and Olivia, who are "girls gone wild"-like. That, or drugs.

Lane and Zach eating at Mrs. Kim’s place. But not saying anything. Mrs. Kim is looking good. Lane and Zach are trying to figure out who tells Mrs. Kim, by gestures, but nobody wins. Mrs. Kim says she thinks she knows why Lane and Zach have been avoiding them - they have no new music. Then Lane blurts out that they are pregnant and that they waited till the marriage and start freaking out.

Mrs. Kim panic face? No, she comes over and says congratulations. Zach spills that it is twins. And then Mrs. Kim says they must move in with her on Monday. And Zach says cool??

Lorelai is awoken in Paris by sirens outside. She is freaked out. Oh, they missed dinner! Missed their 7pm dinner appointment by a few hours. It’s 4am!! They are now both starving. Chris suggests room service. Lorelai wants a cheeseburger, which so does not exist in Paris, btw. They don’t have room service, anyway. So they decide to go back to bed and get up for an early breakfast. But neither can fall asleep. Instead talk of all the things they are thinking about while not sleeping. Chris then decides to just go out and find some open romantic restaurant, which must exist somewhere in Paris.

Rory at her apartment, calls Olivia. Olivia is making a mobile which is really funky. Lucy saunters in - ok, who wears a hat inside! Anyway, Rory asks if they want to do something. Lucy and Olivia suggest going off to a cabin. But a house will do. Rory suggests her place in Stars Hollow. Interesting.

Chris and Lorelai looking for food. Stalking after someone who appears to be eating a sandwich. Scare him off. Mmm, fresh baked bread being delivered to a bakery for that morning. They try to accost the delivery truck man. He just laughs them off as "funny Americans." Pouty Lorelai. But the whole situation reminds Lorelai of when they were in 10th grade and he had stood waiting for her during a lunch time exam, waiting to give her a pizza slice. She gets all romantic and nostalgic.

Luke’s Diner. Lane chiding Zach for saying "cool," then Kirk comes over to see if he can feel a kick from the baby. Luke then tells Lane not to carry heavy food, to ask Liz for advice. And says they will be great parents. Parents. Not kids. That hits them. Big deal. But also allows them to (maybe) say no to Mrs. Kim.

Wow, what a view from Chris and Lorelai’s room. After doing, well, they have no clothes. lol. Hungry again. Or still. Lorelai suggests eating the view. Chris says he can "fix this," but he won’t tell Lorelai what it is. Just that it’s bigger than a bread box.

Rory, Olivia and Lucy in Stars Hollow, with foils in their hair, looking at photo albums. Commenting on Dean. And Rory’s 5′7" height. Then they comment on how good “boyfriend’s” (Marty) hair is. The color of "Crackle", the style of "Pop" from Rice Crispies.

Olivia and Lucy spot Rory’s wall of height measurements. Rory is oddly freaked by it, who knows why.

Chris and Lorelai at a restaurant called Fermé. It’s closed, but Chris knocks. And are admitted without delay. To a private table in an empty restaurant - except for the many many servers, of course. Wine for breakfast. Or is it late dinner? Oh, a view of the Eiffel, all lit up. Wow.

Chris gives a beautiful speech about how they had dreamed about going to Paris as kids, but that had been derailed (Rory). And that, despite all that, they made it, as if they had never changed. And yet they had. Chris used his new fortune to "bribe" to get the restaurant open. He "forgets" about being rich. lol

They look absolutely in love. Lorelai would be happy with a croissant, sleeping on a park bench. But Chris gave her a 4-star restaurant and hotel.

"I’d still sleep on a park bench with you" - Chris

"Name the bench" - Lorelai

What a romantic meal and speech and just everything. Ok, I was prepared to hate this SO much, but even I would be swept off my feet with all that! But perhaps she is being too swept off her feet. Losing her head. Not thinking of her own real feelings and life and Rory!

Lane and Zach go to visit Mrs. Kim, who is setting up their room (two separate beds, lol). Zach steps up and is the one to say "no", and they try to convince Mrs. Kim that they are adults, are a family, and feel it important to do it on their own. Mrs. Kim says she respects their decision, but does not look happy.

Olivia, Lucy and Rory with their streaks. Purple, green and pink. In that order. Lucy mentions the Yale Daily and writing an article about their hair, which makes Rory totally sad. She actually starts to cry.

"Everything is just ending. I feel like everything is over." - Rory

She is done at the Yale Daily. And almost at Yale. And that in front of her is a huge abyss, and she doesn’t know what is in front of her or where she is going. Or how her relationship with Logan will play out. And she’s never experienced that. She’s always known what was ahead of her (minus, of course, that year she quit Yale).

Rory talks out her options. Law school, um no. Grad school? Journalism school? She has no idea.

And then we zoom to Paris where Chris and Lorelai seem to have their lives completely in order. Happy to the brim. Lorelai says she doesn’t want it to end. The writing is bad (come on, even when Lorelai is happy and in love, she is way more funny than these lame lines!), but the gestures are good here.

Then Chris brings up the "remember how I told you I’d wait till we were both 80, to figure out us…"

"I don’t wanna wait" - Chris

Lorelai says it’s too soon, but she really doesn’t seem convinced. Chris says it’s taken them 25 years to get to where they are now. They are ready. Lorelai objects, that they should wait. Even brings up the Rory card, that she is not there. Chris then says it blunt, "marry me."

Lane and Zach are talking baby names. Bad ones. Mrs. Kim is there, putting away things not baby safe, unloading groceries and moving in. They may be too adult to live with Mrs. Kim now, so she will live with them. Interesting.

Lucy and Olivia bring Rory back to their apartment where Lucy introduces Rory to "boyfriend" - Marty. Who pretends not to know her. And Rory freaks out and asks why, but Lucy and Olivia come back before he can answer. And he then proceeds to ignore her.

Lorelai and Chris are back in Stars Hollow. Ok, that was a bit of a jump in time.

"Welcome home Mrs. Hayden" - Chris

Lorelai in a wedding ring!! One she turns around and around on her finger with a look of confusion…

Wow, horrid episode! And not because “like, Luke and Lorelai should like, totally be together!” but because, like, the writers don’t seem to know which show they’re writing for. Where to begin…

Lorelai and Chris in Paris made me want to Ralph, and not because I hate the two of them as a couple. I don’t really care if they’re a couple or not, but I do care that the whole storyline is being executed horrendously.

Beyond the obvious fact that it’s incredibly out of character for Lorelai to get married without Rory present, and to change her name to Hayden, at that, the storyline was just poorly executed. Chris seems to have practically strongarmed her into it, judging by the look on her face at the end of the episode. I thought that Lorelai was done with letting men dictate the pace of her life after the whole Luke-April fiasco, but I guess not… It’s one thing to take dedicated fans for this kind of ride, but at least make it seem a bit more plausible. I don’t think the writing to this point in the season has fully justified this plot development.

Also, what was up with the sickly-sweet dialogue. Barf! “I’m so happy,” “No, I’m so happy,” “I Love you,” “I love you more,” “We’re in Paris!” Wow, captain obvious, thanks for that! Overt romance is nauseating, un-Gilmore, and unromantic, to boot. Have the writers ever heard of nuance or subtlety? Amy Sherman-Palladino was familiar with such things, but she’s clearly gone now.

On to Rory. How did she go from being a virtual loner to hanging out with two of the most annoying girls on the planet, and liking it? Her making rice crispie squares and walking through the dorm hallway with an arm draped around Lucy… out of character, much? Again, how did she get there? And by the way, how did she get to the point where she was unsure that she wanted to be a journalist? Where did that law school bit come from, and doesn’t Paris want to be a doctor? Again, these are all plausible things to be happening to Rory, but they’ve been so poorly and lazily developed–they’ve just been foisted on an unsuspecting audience with no warning.

A couple more things: Lane and Zach were kind of cute in this episode (the one saving grace, in my opinion), and Marty… wow, what a jerk! Who pretends not to know someone anytime after grade five? Marty was never malicious before, and even though Rory didn’t “want him like that,” that’s no reason to go getting all catty. What a loser.

Anyways, to wrap up, horrible episode on so many levels. The writers have lost my trust…they don’t seem to understand the characters or the history of the show at all. The only reason I’m still watching is because it’s (probably) the last season, and I’m curious to see where things will end up…and how unrecognizeable this show will be by the time it stumbles accross the finish line.

Totally agree! The worse thing about this Loreli/Chris romance is that a rebound relationship is the most out-of-character thing Loreli would do! Allowing herself to get this involved with Chris so soon after a break up with another man (Luke or any other) is totally out of character. She spent years without a man, so there is no doubt she is quite capable of being on her own. There is no possible way the writers can redeem this. A rebound relationship is characteristic of a woman who doesn’t know who she is or what she wants. That isn’t Loreli. If the writers try to bring her back with Luke at any time this season, under any circumstances, it just makes her look silly and flighty. Well, more than she does now. It’s clear that the new writers don’t understand the character, or for that matter, any woman of character.

I hate the part where Lorelai says “I don’t want it to end.” Deeply inside (I think) she knows that Chris will leave her someday again, and then there is Luke who is always there. But she marrys Chris. How can she say she doesn’t want it to end? Ok, maybe she’s in love right now because Chris is with her and she needs someone, but I don’t believe it. She and Chris had so many chances, but never really saw them. And then, when Lorelai’s happy again with some other guy Chris comes up and ruins everything. I can’t understand her, I really can’t. I’m tired of this Chris-Lorelai thing.
And then, Luke has been waiting for 9 years to get together with her, and Chirs is just something like a half-time-lover (sounds strange, but I think it’s in some way right ;) )

I knew it! I knew she was not going to be happy and that Chris would push her into this. Lane and Zack were really cute. I wish only the best for them. And I kinda like Rory’s new freinds really supportive of her.

I liked the episode on lorelai’s part, she felt like her old self again. The writing was better in this episode. Also at the end when Chris said, “Welcome home Mrs. Hayden” Lorelai looked so freaked. Their relationship is not going to last. Rory’s friends are annoying, but i love marty :). I hope those streaks are not permanent, hated them!

To be honest, this episode was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve got to say, the whole thing with Lane and Zac and Mrs. Kim made it for me. That was so hilarious!! Absolutely loved it. I’m so glad to see that at least their characters haven’t changed.

    1. The Trip to Paris: I thought it was kind of awkward between Lorelai and Gigi at the beginning, but that’s of little consequence. Where are the Lorelai quips? She didn’t say anything funny this time. Also, the one thing that made me so mad I literally screamed at the TV was the fact that Lorelai said, without being initiated by Chris, “I love you” not just once but THREE FREAKIN’ TIMES!!!! That right there is a complete 180 of Lorelai’s character… I mean, yes, Chris went (WAYYYY) over the top with his little romantic gesture, but not even the 1000 yellow daisies could bring out an “I love you” from Lorelai to Max in the first season. I just cannot believe it. It’s just not something she says EVER. Then, when Chris was being nostalgic about the trip they planned as teens- and oh by the way, it’s “as if time didn’t even pass since then” (ummm, I think that they are VERY different people now, 25 years later)- I felt like Chris was really pushing it. I mean, why did he feel the need to reiterate that he’s “rich” and he paid off the waiters at the restaraunt?? He could have simply said “I have connections” or something sneaky like that. Would have gotten the same point across. However, the whole deal was a really sweet thing to do.

    2. The Elopement: Did anybody else feel that it was a super-weird transition?? I mean, when Chris proposed, Lorelai was all “this isn’t right; Rory isn’t here…” and so on, yet we suddenly skip her being persuaded to change her mind to find out that, in fact, she discarded all the [highly validated] concerns anyway and married him after all (and of course we all knew it was coming, I’m just saying what happened to Lorelai’s concerns). The one thing that satisfied my devastation was Lorelai’s face as she was looking at her ring. YES!! It’s the “Oh-my-god-what-am-I-doing/what-have-I-done” look!!!

So the worst is over… it’s all down-hill from here!! FINALLY!!!

    3. Rory’s friends are annoying as crap- way too Valley-girl (or whatever) for me (”Oh, look!! Boyfriend is here!!”- uhhh) And Marty was a jerk. Honestly, I hope that he adds interest in future episodes. Rory needs a story-line again. Also, why isn’t Rory already planning ahead? Why isn’t she looking into her options? I guess she honestly never thought about what to do after college? That doesn’t sound like Rory.

Ok, sorry that is really super-long. But I liked this episode- I think it’s as close to Gilmore as this season has gotten so far (or maybe Mrs. Kim has overshadowed all the parts that I absolutely hated…).

I, too, was pleasantly surprised by this episode. It was a dark day for L&L fans, no doubt, but it went over semi-smoothly.

The writing is definitely still not up to par. When the Lane/Zack/Mrs. Kim story line is more clever than Lorelai’s or Rory’s, you know something is up. I just don’t know how to explain it- when I watch old episode, literally every minute is filled with amazing quips, to the point where I don’t want to miss a minute of dialogue! Now, it’s like the writing is empty…it lacks depth. Simply put, it’s just not the same.

That being said, I LOVED all of the Lane scenes. It was so sweet to see a gentle side of Mrs. Kim, and I think that this twins story line really has some potential! Loved how Zach thought they were siamese twins! Too funny! Lane’s going to be a great mom, and I am totally looking forward to it!

Rory is, well, odd. I highly doubt that a girl who has dreamed of being Chrstine Amanpour her entire life has absolutely no plans for post-graduation. It’s just not a feasible situation, and I think the writers messed up big time there. Sure, graduating is scary (I’m graduating soon and I’m scared out of my mind!) but anyone as determined as Rory would have some sort of plan in mind. Weird. Her friends? Very weird. The whole thing seems forced. And I’m not big on Marty so I’m indifferent about his return, but please, for the love of God, STOP CALLING HIM BOYFRIEND!

Ohh the elopement. First off, soooo much more could have been done with the Paris story line!! Oh my goodness, this is Lorelai, who dreams of traveling and is so passionate, and the only thing we get out of her trip to Paris is her poor accent??? I’m so dissappointed in the writers! For all of its hype, the Paris thing should have been better executed. Yes, DA, I SO agree that it was way, way strange how Lorelai said “I love you” a million times, without being prompted. It almost (ALMOST) made me question the L&L soul mate thing, but I snapped back. I’m guessing Lorelai does love Chris, but it’s not the kind of love that a marraige has, you know? Lastly, the whole eloping thing was strange- the way it jumped like that. But, what did we expect? The very idea of them eloping is strange. Yikes.

Most importantly, Lorelai is just not Lorelai anymore? Lorelai, or at least the one in seasons 1-6, is my HERO! She is amazing and is such an interesting and unique person. But now? She’s just kind of boring, and I hate to say it, but, obnoxious. Her quips aren’t funny anymore. She whines a lot? What’s up with that? This is not Lorelai! Not the one we know and love. Bring her back!

Anyways, it’s ALL downhill from here, and I’m so glad for that! Luke and Chris fighting? Possibly the greatest moment ever! Can’t wait to see Luke take down Chris. Can we start a countdown to episode 13 somewhere please??????

this episode really told you that gilmore girls isnt the same as it once was. especially when chris proposes! i knew it was going to be bad (im a L/L fan) but i didnt think it would be this bad! it was too “lovey dovey”!!! amy would have never done that! i am just waiting for when chris and luke fight on dec 5!

OMG funniest part of the whole episode— whenthe french guy goes “evrybody loves Raymondd” and walks away…i fell off the couch laughing… oh and cheerup charlies things will get better… and always keep in mind that Rosenthal was doing the show even when ASP was on so he knows things… Hes probably also just getting used to a new job so now he is warming up and later he will be able to go with the flow.. i didn’t mind last night’s eppy.. not at all.. thought it was fine. i think people are overeacting.

ok. from the start i agree with everyone saying that gilmore girls has lost its love and feel of stars hollow and the lukes diner bit, I miss it to. I agree it has got WAY to dramatic and more realtionship ish. Lorelai i think really wants to lvoe chris but Luke will always be there for her. Luke and April’s realationship is ok and with lorelai in the pciture they will be a great family if lorelai is going to be with chris then her life will end up just like Emily and Richard wanted it to full of money and responsiblity.. Lorelai is not like that kinda girl! she is a Stars Hollow girl they girl who everyone knows and how sarcastic she is (i got my sarcasm form her LOL) Rory will get along with Arpil(they are both smart) and Luke and Lorelai are perfect for each other! I think Chris is trying WAY to hard and wants he so bad..but if you saw the last moment from Lorelai’s eyes you could tell she had a expression of “what did i do” kind of face. Lorelai and rorys realtionship needs to get better! they always get each other in a good mood and now that they are not around as much they are losing it..I hope it gets better

P.S.: I am so excited for next weeks episode! The whole luke walking in towards Chris ready to battle it out was awesome! i was litteraly jumping up and down and screaming! I am so excited! E-mail me if you want to talk about it more Gilmore_girl_fan101@yahoo.com ty all! GO L&L!

  • em
    Nov 15, 2006 at 6:17 pm

i agree with you “obsessed gg fan”! now that lorelai married chris, she will become more like emily and richard! i mean, emily has always wanted for lorelai and chris to be together, and part of lorelai’s relationship with emily is that she always does the oppostie of what emily wants! yea, at some points i GUESS (very slim guess here) it would have been nice for lor to be with chris, but she belongs with luke! and part of her being with luke (not saying this was the only reason she was with luke) was that emily and richard hated him! the writers have screwed everything up!!!

  • em
    Nov 15, 2006 at 6:25 pm

more to add:) now it is almost like lor is pleasing emily! it is clear to everyone with a brain that lorelai isnt happy with the marriage! and chris almost pushed her into marrying him! lorelai actually proposed to luke, which showed that she really wanted to marry him! while with chris they were only dating a few months, plus chris’ history of always leaving, plus when chris proposed lorelai was hesitant! it is almost like she was obligated to say yes!

the writers really messed up this episode. it almost didnt even resemble gilmore girls. the way lor and chris were with each other “ooo i love you” and “oh i am sooo happy!” and “i just dont want this to end!”. all of these phrases i couldnt even imagine being said on gilmore girls. lorelai used to be more independent. does anyone even remember a scene in the last few episodes when lorelai wasnt with christopher? i dont! you dont even see stars hollow anymore, which was what made the show….well….THE SHOW! what happened to kirk and miss patty and babbete and jackson and sookie??? gilmore girls just isnt the same!

  • em

more to add:) now it is almost like lorelai is pleasing her parents by marrying chris! and lorelai doesnt even seem to like the marriage. i mean, it was almost like chris pushed her into marrying him. they were only dating a few months, and even if they have known each other forever, part of that time chris has broken lorelai’s heart! and she hesitated when chris asked her to marry him! plus the dialogue wasnt gilmore girls at all! the whole time lor and chris were like “ooo i love you” and “oh im soo happy” and “i just dont want this to end!”. i never would have imagined for those words to be said on gilmore girls! the writing isnt the same.

plus, what happened to stars hollow? wheres kirk and miss patty and babbette and sookie and jackson? you dont see any of that anymore! the whole “eating at lukes everyday” is gone too! yes, i know that there is a reason for that but still! plus, where is the relationship between lorelai and rory that was the whole point of the show?? all of this made the show the show!

and lorelai used to be more independent. now every moment is spent with christopher. in this season, do you remember even one scene where lorelai wasnt with chris? i dont! now she is depending on other characters. the show isnt the same. my number one question is WHERE ARE ALL OF THE REFRENCES????

yes i know, i have already said two big things, but i have a major point here. at the end of season 5 and the begining of season 6, lorelai PROPOSED to luke. that showed that she really wanted to marry him. but, this season, chris proposed to lorelai, and lorelai hesitated! she also did not look happy at the end of the episode! this shows that lorelai doesnt want to be with chris!

    Note to CW:

    How to save ‘Gilmore Girls’

Step 1) Give Amy Sherman-Palladino whatever it will take for her to return and run the show.

Step 2) Burn any remaining unaired Rosenthal episodes.

Step 3) have Lorelai re-wake up in bed with Christopher and say, “Wow! What a terrible dream I had!”

I agree with Tammy too. There is no Lorilei, No Rory, No Stars Hollow, nothing that made Gilmore Girls - not good - but GREAT! Com’ on. If something isn’t done soon - everyone will tune out and there will not be another season. I have a young mother - so we related to Lor and Rory. But now the woman we knew - no longer exist.

I think they should have flown Rory out to Paris and had a better wedding scene. Now it’s just going to be weeks of Rory whining that she wasn’t there, and another damn fight between lorilei and rory. I am still watching in hopes that it will get good again.

all i am waiting for is the fight between luke and chris, the breakup between lorelai and chris, and when luke and lorelai get back together. i am also looking foward to logan moving to new york and for lane to have her twins.

Janey’s post SAID IT ALL! These writers are obviously braindead. They can only write overly cheesy dialogue that is repulsive and better suited for a mid-afternoon soap opera than for what was ONCE the smartest show on television. This has become a joke; if Chris said the word romantic one more time I was going to turn off the TV. He is the most one-dimensional character I have ever seen on prime-time tv.

one there is still and aways will b Krik. he hasn’t changed. and i think that thre won’t be another fude between lorelai and rory but rory will make lorelai relize that she dosn’t really want to spend the rest of her life with chris. she will help her relize she secertly and truly stil loves luke and that love she has for luke is deep and endless.
i think that during the holidays luke will do somehting that tottally blows lorelai over wile i think chris is out of town. this would all make sense. i being a playright in my spare time can read through stories really well.
i like lanes new story line with the twins and all. and i think rory needs a new one and logan could help her relize what she wants to do next and for all we know he could propose soon.

I agree with mollie! i hope that Luke will get back together with Lorelai and Chris will go with Sherri where he belongs. He has a kid and a wife (ex wife) he has the life Lorelai dreams of and with L and L back together that will fulfil her dream and Rory will be rory again! PLus you know how much Luke loves rory he will knock some scence into her Chris would to but he would want her to spend more time with him! And remember when Chris came over to Yale and tryed to get her to play hooky! yeah that was not a great example of parenting! I hope Luke wins the Battle next week! I am jumping up and down and screaming! i am so excited!

Unfortunately the fight isn’t until the Christmas episode, but here’s the episode description for it, and I’m sure that you will be very pleased:

CW Episode Description for Episode 10
Dec. 5 Mark your calendars for this one!
    “Merry Fisticuffs”
LUKE AND CHRISTOPHER COME TO BLOWS — Luke and Lorelai share a sweet moment when Luke introduces her to Liz’s new baby. Christopher witnesses the scene and it adds to his concern that Lorelai isn’t fully committed to their marriage. The next day, Lorelai and Christopher get into a fight over whether they should exchange vows at the elaborate wedding party Emily is throwing for them. Luke contacts a lawyer over his custody troubles with Ana, then runs into Christopher and the two have an ugly confrontation in the streets of Stars Hollow. Meanwhile, when Logan discovers that Rory and Marty have been pretending that they just met, rather than admitting their previous friendship to Lucy, he reveals the truth to Lucy. Finally, Emily gives Lorelai a warning about her marriage.

wahooooo!!! sounds like a very promising episode :)
