  I don’t have cable right now, so my only contact to GG is this website. I have been reading a lot of posts, but tried to keep an open mind to this episode. What happened to my strong, confident, capable Lorelai and Rory? It seemed like Lor let Chris completely pressure her into this marriage. How many times has she turned him down before? She knew he is not good for her, is so vulnerable from the whole Luke thing? And Rory, my goodness, when did she become such a whiner?!?!?!? I couldn’t believe it until I saw it with my own two eyes, and I am astonished with the change in my favorite show!!!!

  Simple answer: The show is now being run by a man whose concept of women seems to come directly from the 1950’s.

  I keep telling myself that this is a big set up, and that Luke and Lorelai are going to get back together and everything is going back to “gilmore normal”…I just hope that it happens…

  I’m not really a fan of L&C but I think it’s about time Lorelai slept in the bed she made. For me, if she walks out on Chris for Luke, she’s disgusting and selfish. She married this man and he loves her and treats her well. If she leaves Chris for Luke I would hope Luke would say tough luck to her and walk away. Luke doesn’t deserve sloppy seconds from and impulsive and selfish woman. What about Rory in all of this, sure she’s not a child anymore but what happens to her if Lorelai betrays her father?

  I’m a Gilmore-aholic, and I’ve even recently been enjoying Christopher’s flirty romance with Lorelai. It seemed like they were having fun together. But last night during the “proposal,” something seemed off to me. It seemed like Christopher really bullied Lorelai into marrying him.

  Sure, it was a romantic gesture and a romantic setting, and his “I don’t want to wait” attitude would have been OK for a proposal. But if he really loved her, he would have respected her wish to wait until Rory could be with them before tying the knot. She’s waited this long to get married; she deserves to have it be perfect.

  Some may say that Lorelai could have been her stubborn self and said no to him. But I think after everything she went through with Luke and that postponement, she didn’t want to risk being like Luke in this situation and losing Christopher forever.

  i emailed mike ausiello (a columnist for TV Guide) asking if he has any extra spoilers for luke and lorelai fans such as if they get back together, why lorelai and chris break up, and how luke and lorelai get back together. no answer yet and he didnt do a new column yet (at least not to my knowledge), but i will keep you posted.
