  the moment with luke and lorelai and “doola”! bet it will be great!!! and my favorite…..the fight!!

  do you think that they will actually show the fight? i mean, if it is what people have said so far (crazy-internet-people said it would be a knock-down drag out fist fight, and a TV guide quote: “In this corner, wearing the flannels and baseball cap…Luke! And in the wedding ring and smirk…Christopher! Let’s get ready to rumble!”) then it sounds like a big deal. but wouldnt that be a little hard to act out? i do hope they show us something though! that, for me, will be the high point of the episode!

  Ohhhh man, I could watch that over and over for HOURS. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! I cannot wait ’til next Tuesday… I have a feeling we are going to be left hanging for the haitus though, which I’m not looking forward to because January is SO FAR away… hehe! :) Go Luke go!!

  Honestly, Chris is an idiot for feeling threatened by Luke… obviously Lorelai chose Chris, and they are meant to be together, he really shouldn’t have anything to worry about…

  i hope they show the fight. i like christopher as a person, but not as lorelai’s husband. he does not fit in in stars hollow. i really dont think it will be hard for luke to kick the crap out of christopher.

  i think luke is trying to win lorelai back with doola. i think lorelai is really in love with luke and not chris. hopefully it will turn out that way.

  luke better get april. he loves eher so much that he gave up lorelai for her. and it is not his fault that anna didnt tell him about april. is luke had known, i am sure he would have been there.

  OK What really bugs me is that they are making logan out to be the bad guy this season. rory is in love with him and he is in love with her. i am sooooo glad he has moved back to the USA. rory seems happier.

  I REALLY HATE CHRISTOPHER!!He is annoying and rude and selfish. HE ALWAYS RUINS EVERYTHING. he needs to but out of lorelais life.

  i was watching and old gilmore girls today and it was soooo good because it was just lorelai and rory and they were both so happy. it was the old, normal gilmore girls… not the gilmore and hayden girls. kill the new writer. with a knife while shes sleeping.

  maybe they will show us that liz’s baby isn’t named doola nest week wouldn’t that be great. it isn’t only the “diner guys” niece it is her friends child too. not to mention rory’s ex-boyfriends sister and it is also her fellow Stars Hollow citizens kid.

  i bet they won’t show the fight and leave us hanging.

  is the next episode after this really in January 2007?

  Oh and I, too, am BEYOND excited for this fight. I’m just trying not to get my hopes up too much…but my hopes are:

  1. Luke kicks ASS
  2. Chris starts the fight (so Lorelai can be mad at him)
  3. Luke handles it better than Chris does (so Lorelai can be reminded of who the *better* man is)
  4. Chris feels uneasy about how Lorelai handles the fight AND
  5. Lorelai does some THINKING…you know :)

  Can’t wait!!! Mostly, I can’t wait until episode 12 and 13. Here’s to the *approaching* return of Luke and Lorelai!

  Have any of you watched the director’s cut? It’s REALLY good. I wonder what Chris is upset about…I’m assuming he’s upset because he witnessed the sweet moment between L&L. And I just love how Lorelai doesn’t want to exchange vows, etc. I’m so glad at least SOME things are falling apart!

  i’m hoping for a few things out of thsi season for now.

  1 luke and lorelai can talk like friends again
  2 lor and chris to get “divorced”
  3 luke to seal the bond with april (this weeks gave to that greatly.)
  4 to have another season
  5 (wishfull thinking really) luke and lorelai to become lovers again.

  hey is that to much to ask from one season i mean we all wanted luke and lorelai to get married last season and did that happen?

  I just want the old gilmore girls back. This season sucks. I really miss them. Lorelai used to be so witty and funny, shes just not quite the same. And Rory is different too.

  lorelai and luke with baby doola will make them both realize what they lost when they didn’t get married… they were both looking forward to starting a family!!! i love luke, and i have a feeling he will get everything he wants, including his daughter. and what is going on with lane and zach and the twins???????

  ps. rory’s new friends are getting a little annoying, especially with calling marty - “boyfriend”. terrible annoying characters!

  I LOVED the Director’s Cut!!!! O my gosh, I am way too excited about this episode… haha I’m letting myself get my hopes up for this one because so far most everything is working out like I was hoping it would. I just hope they don’t show her and Chris making up or talking their fight out later… I want the tention to mount!!

  i think this epeisode is going to be amazing. i really ope they show the fight. and luke is definitley slowly but suely winning lorelai ack. remember at the premire of the sixth season when they were laing in bed and talking about how kids would be good. i think lorelai is going to start looking back on everyhtingthey were planning like getting married and having kids. i hate the name doolah, but i love doolah becuase she may start leading luke and lorelaidown the reunion path.

  I’m totally with you Mya Lynn! While there at it can we have someone kick Rory’s annoyin little friends out of the picture too…not trying to upset anyone…but maybe Logan to, another proud liitle rich boy. Even more, can someone nock some sense into Rory. She used to be simple independent and smart, now she’s really girly, which would be okay…except it’s not the same sweet Rory everyone used to love…oh well.
  I miss Dean…not anger problems/ affair Dean, but sweet “I’m gonna build my gf a car” Dean. oh well.

  Yea except the new podcast kinda backtracks on all of that :( It makes me wonder if they are rewriting episode 13 because they are changing the C/L/L storyline in C&L’s favor. Hopefully not, though! Regardless- I am SO ready for this fight. Actually, I am so ready to see Luke whip out those muscles and kick some butt :)

  And Jennifer and Olivia, I think fisticuff also means a fist fight, by definition. Not sure though.

  I haven’t been able to watch Gilmore Girls in a long, long time. :( I have things I’ve committed to on Tuesday nights. I had no idea that Chris and Lorelai were married. I did buy seasons 1-5, so I am going to work on catching up on all the ones that I have missed. (Target has the season DVDs on sale for $15 at their Thanksgiving sale.)

  I’m so discouraged by this new podcast. I have a feeling we won’t know anything for sure until after the haitus…

  Oh well. This week is sure to be promising!! :) And the storylines from eps 11 and 12 will not change since they’ve already filmed those or started filming. So at least we have these to look forward to even if C&L are still married. :)

  I’m hoping that this “tweaking” means they’re planning on an 8th season. That is, if the tweaking means they get to drag on C&L longer… grrrr… I just hope it doesn’t mean C&L stay together :(

  THANK YOU LUKE!!!!!!!! HE SHOULD TOTALLY TEACH CHRIS A LESSON. I hope it leads to Luke and Lorelai getting married. As for Rory and Logan I hope they stay together. Logan is nice, fun and true to Rory. He won’t leave her. I hate that marty still likes her. He is so annoying. They make better friends. I also agree that Lucy and Olivia are annoying and Lucy calling Marty “boyfriend” it’s so retarded. I don’t like the name Doola but if she brings Luke and Lorelai back together than I LOVE THAT!! Dean and Jess are gonners we don’t need them back Rory should stay and marry Logan.I think they brought back Marty to make Logan jealous and realize his relationship with Rory needs to continue and that they shoud get married.   I am so excited for tommorrow’s episode! It’s going to be awesome! LUKE KICK HIS A**! Chris is so not the guy for Lorelai! Lorelai deserves Luke and the who gilmore girls show has been about getting Luke and Lorelai together and know that Chris is involved! it doesnt make any sense! I think that Chris is just a obsacle! Lorelia will succed with flying colors! Rory and Marty…um NO! they are better friends than boyfriend and girlfriend! Logan may have been a little brat at the begining but has gorwn to realize that he truly loves Rory! He always wants to know where she is and to check up on her all the time! He is so sweet! I HATE CHRIS!!! LOL…GO LUKE tommorrow!

  I love the fact that Luke is so softie around his niece, and that he has realised something about keeping a girl (not getting) like lorelei…really hope that they get back soon. The whole chris lorelei thins seems so out of character / show in general. But then again luke is not the big fighter, so thats a bit out of character…(sure he took a punch at christopher and he had a thing with jess and that guy in 6 grade)

  ok, i am a huge luke and lorelai fan, so i would be MUCH MUCH MUCH more excited if it was a trailer for them getting back togther. but, i am also extremly excited for tomorrow, and i have been looking foward to tomorrow since i found out about the fight. then, i got worried that they might not even show the fight on camera, so that is why i am very excited.

I totally saw Chris jump Luke and Luke just attack him like a wild dog! OMG! this episode is going to top all the episodes al together!   This is what I have been waiting for the last 7 years. Luke has had to listen to Lorelai talk about Chris over and over…and how he hurt her and Rory. Then Luke gets dumped on by Anna not telling him he’s had a daughter for 12 years, and he’s not been in her life.

  Seeing Chris (the absent father - never making an appearance) and Luke (the “making it up to his daughter for not being there) finally duking it out over the one thing they do have in common “Lorelai.” Chris is so out of his league going up against Luke. This is a side of Luke we’ve not seen and I’m enjoying. I imagine Scott Patterson is loving it. He’s finally getting to show another side of his acting that isn’t apparent on GG. As for Luke, he’s going to start fighting for what he wants, and once he knows how unhappy Lorelai is, I think we’ll see him bending over backwards for her.

  I agree, the fight was a bit lame but hey…..we L&L fans have been waiting a long time for it to come to this….and it finally did. It’s better than seeing Luke sulk around the diner and yell at everyone. I am hoping we get to see Lorelai’s reaction to the fight.

  As for Emily’s little “you had better change” speech…when has Lorelai EVER listened to her mother’s advice. I see Lorelai going against what her mother suggested because Lorelai is an independent woman. She’s NOT a trophy wife or one to left ANYONE, let alone a man tell her what to do and when to do it. She’s NEVER been a doormat for anyone…so I see her turning herself around too. It won’t be long until Chris is gone…and we can concentrate on L&L getting back together, or at least the process of it happening.

  Janet, I really appreciate your positivity. I was a downer about this episode in my last post- I’m just frustrated with the whole thing. I expected to see more progress.

  On the contrary, while I COMPLETELY believe what you said about Lorelai never being a doormat for everyone, this season has kind of proved otherwise and I worry that she will, in fact, take her mother’s advice. I feel like the advice might put her back into the I-love-Christopher mode? I dont’ know. Sure hope not.
