  As much as I loathe Chris, Marty is getting on my last nerve so far this season. Yes, I get that he’s not over Rory and it’s making him insecure. But to Logan’s credit, he was completely polite to all participating people at the dinner until Marty made some snide remark about a trust fund.

  And while I think it’s true that Logan was partly motivated by anger at Marty for being a jack*ss, I think the other part was he was truly angry at both Rory and Marty for lying to Lucy.

  All the same, my heart broke for Rory this week, it was like her friends and her boyfriend turned on her all at once. That’s gotta hurt.

  I thought I would write about this since I’ve been writing about how much Chris sucks lately.

  I agree with Zuzzy on the first two parts of your comment. But it’s not that Logan turned on Rory becuase if that’s turning on Rory, then Rory turned on Logan big time. How long has it been (GG time) since Rory found out that Marty was Lucy’s “boyfriend!!!” (I hate that “boyfriend” thing. UGH)?? It’s been like a month or two where Rory and Logan call back and forth at least once a night right? He was there when Rory moved back in with Paris and Rory asked Logan if he wanted to go to Lucy’s birthday party. She could have told him then that Marty and her were hanging out again. She had so much time to tell him one thing: Marty is back. But she didn’t and you have to look at it in Logan’s point of view: Your girlfriend didnt tell you that this one guy who she’s known since freshmen year of Yale, liked her ever since then, doesnt seem to be over her yet, recently called her “beautiful” and has problems with you and your wealthiness is back.

  Marty is so pissing me off right now. Logan was polite, making chit chat with Lucy [who is really getting on my nerves as well], and he didnt even bother Marty in anyway. Then suddenly he comments on the whole trust fund thing. WTF Marty?! WTF!!!

  That was nice. Got that off of my chest.
  Christopher in this episode is a whole different story.

  I’m truly sorry but I’m glad that Marty’s character isn’t hiding his feelings. Logan is a jerk for telling Lucy that way and I know he deliberately asked Lucy how she and Marty met knowing that Lucy would probably ask where Logan and Rory met.

  If I remember correctly, when Logan met Jess he acted the same way, even snarkier. Rory should not have to keep appologizing for Logan’s behavior and jealous acts. Did you notice how much Chris approves of Logan. Maybe it’s because they have so much in common. Chris is a manipulating baby who has to have it his way or no way and Logan is a manipulating jerk who doesn’t care who he hurts just so he can feel good about himself and get what he wants.

  I felt so bad for Rory. I think Logan just wants her to be happy with him and not have a life outside of his circle. You know he has never even made an attempt to meet Rory’s friends or even come to her town. I’ts all about HIM!!! He’s a selfish jerk who is changing Rory for the worse and she just seems to be oblivious to his manipulation of her life.

  Merry Fisticuffs was an amazing episode.

  I understand that rory should have told Logan, but i felt so bad for her this week. Marty started this whole thing and it be unlike Rory to tell Lucy. I think Logan was nervous that Rory and Marty still liked eachother or that they had been dating or something. He shouold trust Rory more than he does. I love Loga but in this episode, I saw his as a complete jerk.

  When Emily was giving Lorelai wedding advice, I could tell Lorelai rethinking the whole thing. And when she didn’t want to have kids. I think she is realizing she is in love with Luke still.

  I hope that Luke wins April!!!

  i agree w/ Rosemary, logan is a jerk when he’s jealous!!! It’s worse for lucy to hear that rory and marty have known each other since freshmen from rory’s bf then marty or rory. Everything is falling apart for rory this season. i really missed the old times when rory and lorelai always hung out w/ each other:(

  oo and i agree w/ everything that rosemary said! The only time logan met rory’s friends was lane, and well paris, but he knows her from school. He does not want rory to be w/ other guuys, even if they’re just friends! And then he has to make it worse and be a jerk to both jess and Marty!! i never liked logan.

  I agree with Rosemarie…..

  Yes Rory should have mentioned the situation to Logan before now, and should n’t have gone along with Marty’s pretence, BUT LOGAN IS A SELFISH JERK!!

  Marty has been creepy towards Rory, she didn’t know how to handle it, and she seemed to value these female friendships,so didn’t rock the boat. She was starting to have her own independance, a Yale life outside of Logan….who was already threatened by her moving out, havinf her own friends, and starting to grow a backbone

  Some people think aaaah isn’t it sweet he’s jealous….no this guy IS A BULLY…period. He always looked down on Marty in series 5 he saw him as a bartender only, and Rory followed Logan and co to the restaurant, poor Marty was condescended too, bur Rory was still impressed by Logan!!

  He’s like Chris a snob…”the farmer” No it’s Jackson….”the Diner Guy”….no it’s Luke, they’re people

  Logan was already being patronising at the meal, “Thats a lot of jobs MY BOY” Where does he get off!!!

  Marty is a Yale graduate works hard for his position, unlike Logan. I’m glad he said what he did about the trust fund, because Logans “business” skills are all bought, he has daddys money to buy with, daddy’s company name for a reputation and a good team to assist him, bought by Daddy!!! GOOD ON MARTY for saying that!

  The most upsetting thing, was that he willingly killed 2 birds with one stone….he got rid of Rory’s new support network, and put down Marty for calling out the truth. He does not like people not idolizing him…especially someone poor

  He willingly hurt Rory, and left her alone with no apology for doing this, he wants her friendless and spineless to pine for him and worship him……he’s always been like this, and she keeps going back to him.

  I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW ANY OF YOU CAN LIKE LOGAN?

  okay okay, i will give it to the new writer, this one was, well, better. Not completely up to the Real girlmore girls but hes getting there. k most everyone has been talking about rory and the situation with marty and logan, so lets start with that… I have never liked logan.. I personally dont think he truly cares about rory. SOmeone up there said that he has never made an effort to meet her friends or go to Stars Hollow. ITs so true! has Logan even ever met lane? Or witnessed kirks craziness!? or miss patty or babbette? NO! thats awful, hes awful! dont like him. Marty is kinda weird too. i know he still likes rory but hes weird. i used to like him alot, but now i dont know how much i do. So yea. i feel bad for rory now. i think she should dump logan. My dream would be that her and jess get together but i know that wont happen, or tristan! that would be sweet too. but yea. so moving on
  Lorelai and Christopher….wow. this will take a while. Definitly hate chris. hes a dumb butt. ( okay thats kinda a pathetic name but im tired ) I dont like him at all! they need to get divorced! lorelai and luke all the way. that moment they shared was great! BUT OKAY!!! i had a thought, maybe this new writer is trying to get luke and lorelai to be friends again. to sort of get them to where they were before then they will realize what they had. then they will get married. all will be swell. but remember when lorelai said that she didnt have to be afraid of telling chris stuff and not being afraid of how he reacts, well what the heck do you call what just happend in this episode. when chris saw luke and lorelai together, he flipped a lid. She needs to dump him.
  Last! heres my opinion. gilmore girls was at its best in season 2 and 3. anyone agree? They were just so funny and fast talking and fun to watch back then. I feel like Lorelai and Rory arent close anymore. And they only ever talk on the phone. sad. where are the old girls we all know and love?!?!?! well thats it. thanks for listening..

  Melanie I totally agree with everything you’ve said ….season 2-3 the best Lorelai-Rory relationship, the crazy fabulous town, Luke-Jess dynamic, jess-Dean, and nutty Paris(hmm nothin’ changed there)

  omg.. yea .. i dont really like the new gilmore girls either.. everything is like falling apaaart.. :( i found it sooo amazing that lorelai and luke are together and then he has a daughter i mean .. -.- i hate the daughter lol. and then chris comes again and there are to many conflicts going on. well i like logan. but jess was just amaaazing. yea well i liked it until season 5.. but 1-4 are the best.. its only sad that jess leaves n stuff. but then lorelai and luke ahh :) . yea i want the old gilmore girls back , too!! . they dont even talk that fast anymore lol. and their amaaazing quotes. and than lane and the band .. they are my most favorites.. :D but thats falling apart too. :( . well..

  I had so looked forward to watching L&L starting their life together and growing together as a couple and Rory finding what she wanted from her life and watching her come into her own as a mature woman. A group of us would always get together on Tuesday night…and with Tivo watch the rerun of the day and the new show…but bad as last year was, this year holds no joy (oh yes, there are fleeting moments of the old GG) nothing that really makes me excited. Shame on CW and AS-P for allowing this to happen!!!

  I didn’t read all the comments but I do have to say something. Marty is technically how Rory and Logan met. I went back to that season and watched it and actually logan and rory met when colin is lookin for some blonde he met the night before. Colin (or fin one of the two) goes to leave his number on the door of rory and paris’s dorm when rory walks up. and I believe that’s when they meet. I could be wrong though

  I’m an artist, WB bought 2 of my carousel horse prints for the ice cream shop set. I would love to have a photo of the paintings on set. If anyone has photos of the ice cream shop, I believe one was by the door the other was behind the counter.
