Gilmore Girls Death Spoiler
Ok, so the title was just to grab your attention. It is not Richard, don’t worry. But yes, there is a death. And, according to the AA spoiler, we won’t really care all that much:
Lorelai and Christopher are going to have a huge falling-out in early ‘07 over a letter. Also, Rory’s going to develop a crush on the hot young economics professor brought in to temporarily replace an ailing Richard. And there will be a death around Episode 13, but not a serious one. In fact, it’s kinda funny.

OMG i hope no on human dies! that will be horrible..i remember when the lady from the bakery fran died that was when Sookie and Lorelai were trying to get hold of the Dragonfly! that was sad but im glad lorelai got her Inn!

I don’t hate Chris but he’s very irrational at times so loralai can’t really rely on him for support. And if Luke really loves Loralai he will find a way back to her, and he shouldn’t have taken Loralai sleeping with Chris so personalbecause Luke was a jerk that night. Chris should have never slept with her in the first place because she was emotionaly unstable at the time.

I totally think Lorelei’s Jeep should die. it was already like 5 years old when the show started, so like 12 years old total? c’mon Jeeps don’t last that long do they??? NO! they don’t because Luke has to drive Lorelei to the hospital PURELY by circumstance and then be there to comfort her while Chris is “sulking”…well it’s what he does best I suppose.
And while I hate Chris, I know I’m going to end up feeling just the tiniest bit sad for him because the letter is obviously going to reawaken all his insecurities about being a crap father to Rory ON TOP of the fact that Lorelei truely loves Luke.
That’s gotta hurt.
Question for debate: Do you think the letter is actually written and discovered by Chris in episode 11? Or do you take on my philosophy that the request will be made by Luke next episode. Episode 12 will start off with Lorelei contemplating what to write about Luke, she eventually writes it, Chris discovers it and they have a “falling out” and this episode will end with Richard collapsing during a lecture. And then episode 13 will apparently be an hour completely dedicated to hospital drama….and did I mention Chris is “sulking over a fight he recently had with Lorelei”.
So what’s your take?

Ahhh this AA is so frustrating!! How in the world can a death be funny?? It would definitely have to be an inanimate object in my opinion to be funny… either that, or someone we’ve never met on screen like Twickham or whoever… Grrr I honestly can’t think of anything!! I’m going to wrack my brain between now and then… haha Does this happen in episode 13? Hmmm… so many ways this can go :) Also, someone mentioned Babette’s gnomes or something, but who knows…
I like the fact that Rory develope this crush… good for her!! I still don’t know what I think about Logan, but it’s a nice change for her to be intrigued by someone else for a change :) I can’t wait to see how this is played out!! I hope they make a bigger deal out of it (in terms of screen-time) than they’ve been doing with her SLs.
Ohhh man am I looking forward to this huge falling out!!! I hate the whole deal with Chris, but at this point I can imagine feeling *almost* sorry for him when this happens. Afterall, they guy will have had *two* failed marriages… I wonder if it’ll happen at the CS?? A lot of yelling?? Will the whole town be able to hear (maybe Luke??)?? What will they be saying to each other?? How will Lorelai react to it?? How does it affect Emily and Rory?? Agh so many questions!! I absolutely cannot wait to see this. February sweeps cannot come soon enough :)

I think it will be something like cat Kirk but it probably won’t be a perosn on the show because that wouldn’t be really that funny if somebody from the show was going to be gone forever. If it is a human, I hope it is Chris, I hate him! For Rory developing a crush, I think it is good because Logan is a real jerk even though he claims to love her. It is good for Rory because now she can feel like she can love some one else besides Logan, and maybe even have an opening for Jess… That would be so cool, I love him! It makes me wonder how Luke gets involved in the first place to start helping Emily with errands. Did she actually call him which means she would rather have Lorelai with Luke instead? Did Lorelai complain to Luke about Chris having a pity pary for himself and Luke steps in to be the better and a chance for reconciliation? There is something in that process that they are not telling us and it has something really big going on. Chris could even be throwing a pity party becasue Lorelai went back to Luke… who knows?

I found this interview on tvguide.com. It’s with Krysten Ritter aka Lucy on Gilmore Girls. In the interview she talks about gilmore girls and how it’s hard to talk fast and her character’s relationship with Rory and Marty.

cat kirk is a definite possibility. that would be funny. and then you see human kirk all crushed, even though cat kirk always attacked him!
but maybe it is an inanimate object, DA! that would be like the old gilmore girls. like maybe it is like their TV or something. if it is an inanimate object, then that would be DR taking another step towards getting back to the old gilmore girls.

I don’t believe Chris is a good match for Loralai, mainly because he still acts like a teenager. So I’m very happy that they have a falling out. Loralai would do so much better with out him and she would be more free to say her oppinions without Chris getting angry with her.
I don’t think it will be a cat this time! It’s suppost to be funny.

Hmmm interesting… wonder what that refers to? The first thing I thought of was Jess… but that’s impossible since he’s on Heroes, then I thought of A Philadelphia Story, but that can’t be it either because that reference served it’s purpose. Then I thought that maybe whatever happens is so bad that everyone would rather be anywhere but where they are… which could fit literally and situationally with several characters. Eeeek I’m so excited!! I cannot wait until these episodes :)

what i am really looking forward to is the first date luke and lorelai go on when they get back together. when they broke up in season 5, their first date after they got back together was awkward. the first date they went on EVER was awkward. i want to see what their first date after they got back together after they broke off an engagement is like!

Reasons to hate Chris-
a) Did you see how he broke the town spirit at the Sewing Marathon? Jerk.
b) All he can do is sulk when he and L. have a fight? Luke isn’t even with Lorelai [at the time when Richard collapses] and he runs errands for Emily and tries to help as much as possible. Now THAT is caring for her and her family.
c) How he left Rory when L. was 16? Jerkface. And NOW he wants to come back? If that were me I would never forgive him.
d) How about the 3rd season, when he is sorta back together with Lorelai for a bit during the time of Sookie’s wedding, and then he ditches her when he finds of Sherry is pregnant? Need I mention all the other times he was a jerk?
e) 7th season premire. He didnt want to let Lorelai leave. Would do anything to stay. WOuldnt even let her leave to feed the dog? thank gawd she left. He was a jerk. Just let her go if she asks to go.
f) —> I have sooo many reasons Chris is NOT for Lorelai. Shall I make a post with why LUKE is for Lorelai?

The reasons to love Luke are all in that really good quality video that was posted a few months back. And its obviouse Lorelai and Luke loved each other before they even started dating. Buy the seasons people, and watch the Luke/Lorelai relationship, from friendship to love.

i used to hate the luke and lorelai relationship, but now i like it because i dont like chris and lorelai together..they arent very good to eachother because from what i heard about Luke asking lorelai for a recommendation christopher gets all mad, and then when chris gets all mad and whines about the fight he had with lorelai while richard is in the hospital, and luke is the one helping out Emily and being the nice guy that he is..O yah i also hope that Luke gets custody of April because i think that luke does a good job with april and i think that he really loves her and he needs to get used to having kids around, because he used to hate kids. and hes really trying to be a good dad. I also think that luke and lorelai need to get married.and christopher really shouldnt have slept with lorelai that night because like someone said before she was vonerable. and she did and didnt know what she was doing and she felt really bad about what she did the next morning..and then instead of telling luke what happend she tried to tell luke that she didnt want to be with him anymore, and he wouldnt leave her alone so she told him out of impulse. well okay that was my thoughts…lol…

Jess could come. I remember back in August or whatever we learned that Jess would be in one or so of the episodes. So “I’d Radther BE in Philidelphia” could mean that Logan does soemthing stupid and that Rory goes to visit Jess. It could also mean that Luke goes to Phili to get a parent recomendation from Jess about how good he was to him and how he took him in. You know something along those lines.

Mollie, I have never thought of that! That could totally be the case! I know Dean is way out of the picture, and Jess was a big thing. And he does have a book store thing in Philadelphia, and because of something Logan might do, she might want to be in Philly with him! Now, the only reason I am using exclamation points is becasue I am excited about the discovery. I do not like Jess at all. He was a good boyfriend up until he left Rory without so much as a good bye, all of the times he left! So I don’t like him. Logan I like, but the relationship between him and Rory is getting old. Rory should leave Logan, get a different boyfriend for a little bit, then end up with Logan in the end, because I like them together, but she has been in a continuous relationship with him for too long. About the thing with Marty and Lucy, wasn’t Rory mad at him? Well, they never actually showed that she was mad at him, but you can infer that. But then, a spoiler for the next episode says that Rory spends Christmas in London with Logan! a) Didn’t Logan move to New York? and b) Again, isn’t Rory mad at Logan?

The title of episode 7.13 is “I’d Rather Be in Philadelphia”. So we (well really Mollie, I am just agreeing) are inferring that the episode is called that because Rory has a fight or something with Logan and would rather be with Jess in Philadelphia. Has anyone heard Milo say anything about doing another episode for Gilmore girls? Or is Rory just going to say that she would rather be in Phily and she never actually goes there? We have to wait and see, I guess. But, just answering your question Jess Anonymous.

Jess Anonymous, on a different thread we have already discussed that Milo and Alexis have broken up, and we cannot rely on him for any information about her. But, we will rely on what he says for himself! So, if our guesses are right, then Rory will just say that she wishes she was in Philadelphia with Jess. But, it is only if our guesses are correct.
