  OMG! I read the spoilers and i cant wait to see this episode it is going to be awesome! it kinda makes me sad though because i started thinking about Gilmore Girls ending…I cant even picture it ending and never coming back..I just wish it would never end and keep going..now what will i do on Tuesday nights…well i guess i will have to commit myself to HOUSE which was a great episode last night! Finally Twitter is gone!! Anyway….. I just wasnt Luke and Lorelai to be together again i was watching the Luke and Lorelai Story on Youtube last night it made me cry because i want them to be like that again! it is such a great video. I think Luke has been a GREAT father figure toward Rory ever since she was born and in some way i think he has giving her some great advice and a great relationship.. the way he cared about her when she dropped out of Yale and went on and on about how he and Lorelai need to make a plan to get her back on her feet. Lorelai knew that he was the ONE! and now she has the chance to get him back and truely live as a Family with Luke and Rory…they make the perfect family!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!

  You all think it’s exciting and wonderful that a marriage is ending? If Lorelai wanted to be with Luke, she shouldn’t have married Christopher. Now she’s just going to leave him for Luke again?

  And all this about Luke being a father to Rory and Luke, Lorelai and Rory being a perfect family…they never were a family. Luke was Lorelai’s friend and boyfriend. No matter how absent he was, Rory never considered anyone other than Christopher as her father.

  I would have preferred a plot where Christopher finally gets it together and can truly be together with his daughter and the mother of his daughter. But instead Christopher’s going to be tossed aside again to make way for Luke and Lorelai.

  Arienna, I don’t use FanForum. I use crazy-internet-people, although that site dose use FanForum, so in a way you could say I use FanForum. But anyway, I have known for weeks because it has been on crazy-internet-people for AWHILE! But, Arienna, one thing you should definitely put on this thread is the spoiler about how they read the letter Lorelai writes in the episode! It is so well written! Here:

  “Lorelai writes an amazing letter for Luke, which is read aloud in court as Chris simultaneously reads it at home. It’s fairly certain by the end of the episode Luke finds out he wins partial custody.”

  You have absolutley NO IDEA how excited I am about this episode, but mostly about Luke’s reaction to the letter!!!!!!! I am literally screaming at the moment (and this isn’t even the first time I have read this spoiler!)!!! EXTREMELY EXCITED!!!!

  So, lets see how this works. Episode 11 (airs January 23) is when Lorelai and Rory see Luke in the mall with April. Then episode 12 (airs January 30) is when both Luke and Chris find out what is in the letter Lorelai reads. Then episode 13 (airs February 6) is when Richard has his health crisis and the marriage ends. Then episode 14, (airs February 13) there aren’t any L/L spoilers for this episode, only the one about Rory having a crush on the TA put in to replace Richard. Then, if I am right, episode 15 (airs February 20) will be the episode where Luke and Lorelai go on their first date of the seventh season! But, only if my guess is correct. My guess is based on the side list for this episode, along with the events leading up to this episode only, so who knows? I REALLY hope I am right!

  So, I feel the need to start ANOTHER countdown for episode 12. I am sorry, but I must! So here are the 4 (yes, four) countdowns:

  1 WEEK AND 6 DAYS UNTIL JANUARY 23!!!!!!!!

  Ok, my FOURTH post, I know, but I wanted to add something about the ending of the marriage:

  “I wanted to confirm (because I was just told) that Loreali indeed initiates the End of Our National Nightmare. Otherwise known as her marriage to Christopher. It’s not a mutual decision.”

  Then:

  “…for all intent and purposes, in Lorelai’s heart and mind, it’s over in 713″

  And then:

  “It was never an AHA! moment, more like a culmination of what she’s been beginning to understand during the last few episodes, or actually since she came home from France. In 713 she finally admits it to herself.”

  THANK THE LORD!!! Just like em, I already knew that Lorelai was going to end the marriage in February for a few weeks now. I found out by one of my friends on tv.com and she got it from one of her ’sources’. I can not wait until February 6th. I am just so happy.

  But what is kind of sad is that I have DirecTv and when the WB switched to the CW way back in September, something got screwed up and the CW channel disappeared. So I am hoping, praying and wishing that we get the CW channel back very soon. I rly want to see Lorelai end the marriage with Chris when the episode actually premieres instead of on a tape. Cuz sometimes a tape is unreliable. :(

  I’m very sad to hear that the L & C marriage will end. It’s tragic when divorce happens. Although it does make sense to close that chapter. At least there is no lingering “what ifs” for Lorelai.

  Hey, I am so exited for new episodes. But I don’t like Luke. He is so mean to Lorelai. Like the way he is so paranoid that she wants to but in with April. I am glad that he gets partial custody of April. Anna was really annoying too. She was also a paranoid freak. It’s like the two most defensive, paranoid people hook up and have a kid. I wonder why Luke didn’t know he “dropped abother sucker into this mess (quote from episode with 24 hour dancathon)” I mean, don’t you know that you had a kid? Well, I guess if Anna really kept it hidden. I would rather have Christopher even though I don’t like him either. I wonder what would have happened if Lorelai would have married Max. THAT would have been crazy. I am totally anxious to see, “Because I sai(or say) so” cuz it co-starrs Lauren Grahm. Thanks for keeping me updated with other Gilmore Girls fans. And I totally hope that they end the show with a marriage. Either Rory and Logan or Lorelai and ?. I wonder how the writers are going to play Marty into Rory’s life cuz obviously he is still not over Rory. And did Marty and Lucy get back together after she figured out Rory and Marty knew eachother from before? Hmm… These are the questions that haunt me……

  i have to admit that luke was a totaly asshole towards the end of last season, and for a while there after L and L broke up, BUT i think that losing lorelai made him realize what he was doing wrong, and that he could possibly lose her forever.now,hopefully, he will be givan a second chance, and things will be good again :)

  Of course the town will accept Luke! They loved Luke and Lorelai together. The only reason Chris wasn’t welcome in the town was because they loved Luke and Lorelai together and they know about all of the times Chris broke Lorelai’s heart. I can see a party in the town square when Luke and Lorelai get back together!

  THANK GOD!!!!!!!! I HATE HATE HATE HATE CHRISTOPHER!!!!!!! He is such a jerk!! He always was messing things up in the past then he came back and messed up everything with Luke and Lorelai. April also sorta helped in messing that up but now Lorelai is involved in the custody battle so because of April things are being fixed. But now Chris is finally going to be GONE!! Finally! I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that Jess doesn’t come back. I hated Jess he is such a jerk. I LOVE Logan. He is soooo good for Rory and I think they should get married soon! He loves her very much and she loves him. They are perfect for each other. Jess is just a screw up and should NEVER come back. I can’t wait until Lorelai and Luke are back together! They too are perfect for each other. I love how this season is turning out! I hope to God that they don’t make this the last season that would SUCK!!!!!!! I love Gilmore Girls!!!! Now everything turning good! I hope that Rory will lose interest in the TA filling in for Richard. Things are good with Logan now and he’s moving closer so it’ll all be good but new guy could screw it up and THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!!!!   OH MY GOD!!!!! I’m soooooooo excited!!!! I’m so glad about the whole letter about Luke thing!!! That’s totally gonna be a kick in the pants to Christopher!!!! I’m on the fence about watching the January 23 episode, b/c I just don’t want to see Lorelai and Christopher all happy together, but I do want to see some L/L action b/c they are perfect together!! I saw some pictures of that episode and the part with Luke and Lorelai, and let’s just say that Lorelai has her Luke look back!!! It was too cute!! Okay, I’ve talked myself into watching that episode!!! I can’t wait to see what happens!! The letter, I read (em’s writing) is supposed to be awesome and I can’t wait to see what Luke looks like after he sees it! Wonder if that’s why look decides to help out with Emily and Richard!…intrigue! I’m just sooo excited!! Now that they’re going to get Luke and Lorelai back together, I don’t want the show to end!! They don’t think that people will watch the show if they don’t have L/L drama, but they will!!! I want to see them get married and have a family!! They can have drama with Rory!!! NO more L/L drama!! I want them to be a family!!

  This is going to be the single best moment in Gilmore Girls history, ever! Lorelai and Luke reunite finally after every single fan on earth knows for a fact that they belong together and Chris is a jerk and not good enough for Lorelai. I remember them having a vote a while back on the best moment in GG and some were Rory and Lorelai ending their fight, Luke and Lorelai kissing at the opening at the inn, but this is going to make record history, i am so happy i can’t stop smiling!

  for all of you luke haters what is up. what do you mean that luke was alwasys just a friend comeon he was n head over heels love with lorelai the first time that the door went ding-ding that first time. luke did have a fatherly role for rory during those 8 years+ she was growing up. he was always there for them and in season 3 Jess was dead on when he said that he dosn’t just wait around for someone who he wants he mpves on. LUKE WAS IN LOVE WITH LORELAI THE FIRST TIME SHE WALKED INTO THE DINNER. Chris has ALWAYS messed up her life and rory even said it herself when L&L started dating. “Mom is finely happy leave her alone.” or at least something along those lines. rory has thought of luke as the fatherly figure that was aabsent in her life. last season when lore and rory were having their rift and the perfect couple (L&L) were at rory’s 21st birthday party after LUKE gave rory her necklace and she said “Luke my step-father to-be” both of them had the biggest smile on thier face. one more point for all of rory’s birthdays especially last year on her 21st did they show chris giving rory a card or let a lone a gift or even come to the party NO who was there LUKE

  Does anyone else think that Lorelei and Luke may not necessarily get married? I don’t know, I can’t get rid of the hunch.

  For some reason I just see the season ending with them making some sort of declaration of how important they are in each other’s lives.

  Although I definately think that the FINAL final scene should be between Lorelei and Rory, alone.

  I think it should definitely end with just Lorelai and Rory. But, and I have said this before, if you remember the pilot, you first saw Lorelai, then Luke, then Rory. Or, at least those are the characters that you first saw that stayed on the show. It would be nice for it to end the way it started, but I think it would be better to end with just Lorelai and Rory. But I definitely want Lorelai and Luke to end up together. They don’t HAVE to be married by then, but it would be nice if they were. And I kind of want Rory to end up with Logan. I like him and I think he suits her, but what I think should happen is that they break up, Rory “plays the field” a bit, then they get back together in the end, because the relationship is getting old already! But I do like them together. I despise Jess, but only because he didn’t treat her right. At least say good bye to your girlfriend before you just leave! And I liked Dean at first, but the second he got married, even after he said that he still liked Rory, I didn’t like him anymore. And I can’t see either Dean or Jess coming back. Jess maybe, but not really. I see Rory either ending up with Logan, ending up single, or ending up with someone else.

  I am not happy about this. Lorelai should work on her marriage. LUKE is by no means a better choice for Lorelai. LUKE is soooooooo boring. I think the writer would have more to explore if she stays with CHRISTOPHER. Now with this news the only place she has to grow is in the dinner in some small town. Boring… What were they thinking? I hope this is the last season after this news.

  I agree. Todayjan you have missed the entire point of the show. It’s finding the *big* things in the small places. Luke and Lorelai are SOUL MATES. :) She and Chris were never meant to be, and there is no way Lorelai can grow with him if she doesn’t truly love him.

  The whole point of the show is about a mother raisin gher best friend/daughter in a small quante town. Another point is to watch a man (Luke) take a fatherly role in that daughters life and meanwhile the mother and so said man slowly (or not) relize their feelings for each other.

  Luke is so prefect for Lorelai he fits her personallity. Chris grew up totally different from Lorelai and he’s even worse because Emily thinks he’s right for Lorelai. Lorelai is 30something, her mother should not have any say in who she loves or marries. Lorelai should have her own choice. Chris and Lorelai knew each other from when they were little but I think that they should just stay out of each others lives. Ya Chris can see and talk to Rory but stay out of Lorelai’s life and Lorelai will leave him alone to find the girl that is right for him and who will help him rise GiGi.

  Jess. I don’t hate him but I think Jess and Rory should just be friends. Logan is much better for Rory. Even though he grew up in a rich world he didn’t want that life. He is an adventureous, exciting and spur of the moment kinda guy. I think Logan is the one that Rory has ever loved the MOST! Yes she loved Dean and Jess but Dean got married and Jess just took off. Rory belongs with Logan. I think they are a prefect match. Jess and Rory’s relationship is over. She’s with Logan now. I don’t think she should leave him for someone who just blew her off.

  ok so all you luke haters,
  yall are crazy.
  it is perfectly clear that they are ment for each other.
  chris and lorelai are to the same,
  they are both loud and outgoing and come from the same world and both have a strong personality(lorelai more than chris)

  then there is luke.
  luke and lorelai are totally different people.
  luke most of the time doesnt know what the heck lorelai is talking about,
  but that is what attracts him to her.
  their different personalities level out the “force” so to speak.
  lorelai is crazy, loud and out there.
  where as luke is more of a quiet, calm and collected kind of guy.

  and i think that is what attracts lorelai to luke,
  lorelai needs someone in her life that always has there feet on the ground and can bring her back down when she needs to be.

  and whoever said that luke is old and boring is so off track here.

  scott patterson my friends is good looking and well built guy and plays luke very well.

  and the setting of this “story” is perfect because it is exactly how lorelai is.
  the whole town is a combination of all of luke and lorelais traits. and that is how they both fit in and live there.

  but to outsiders like christopher stars hollow is such a mystery to him and he cant grasp the craziness about it.
  and rory and logan are ment for eachother and i do think that they should “break up” for while and then get back together after they realize that they are ment for eachother.

  so yeah those are my thoughts. :)

  First let me say I’ve watched the show since season 1! And I love it! With that said please do not dismiss my thoughts. I never wanted Lorelai with LUKE. Every time she dated someone else, I like them better than Luke. Just because I don’t feel the same way as you guys does not mean I have not watched the story from season 1. The only reason I said I hate Jess is that everyone on this site kept saying they loved Jess and Luke. Well I do not like either one of them. I love the show just as much as you guys. Lorelai ran away from home to that small town many years ago. I hope she will grow beyond that place and Luke. Stars Hollow was there for her when she needed it and has made her a successful business person. Now she needs to move on. I’ve always believe she belonged with Chris. I was hurt when Chris left Lorelai for his “baby’s mom”. But I’m over it now. Chris and Lorelai have been through a lot. I hope Lorelai remain with him. She did marry him. They did share many dreams together (in their youth). They also have a child together. There is much history between them. I like Lorelai and Chris’s history better than Lorelai and Luke’s history. Also I find Luke to be boring. What can you say about him? He runs a dinner. Nothing else. Oh, Luke helped Lorelai when she needed it. They love each other. Blah, Blah, Blah. Please give me a break. I’m talking about Luke’s character. Luke has no depth. Luke is safe mate for Lorelai just like Stars Hollow was a safe place for her to run to.

  My hope is that she stay with Chris. Anyway, this story is getting old. Woman can’t find a man to commit to her and/or can’t make up her mind. This has been going on for 7 years.

  Lorelai now has a husband. Stop RUNNING when things are not going your way like you did when you were young. Work on your marriage. This is where I think the show has room to grow.

  Please do not bring Jess back. He is just as boring.

  lorelai belongs with christopher even though christopher is a brat and a heart-breaker who left her over and ober and over.   And everything you said about Stars Hollow is true. Rory grew up there, Lorelai’s business (the one which she has been working towards forever) is there, her best friends live there, Luke lives there, and she loves it there! She wouldn’t even leave it with Chris! Remember in the beginning of one episode this season when her and Chris went to look at a house and they both thought it was perfect but Lorelai still wanted to live in Stars Hollow. She doesn’t even want to leave her house! Remember after her and Luke got engaged and they were talking about the Twickham house and she didn’t want to live anywhere else but her house! She and Rory both grew up together in Stars Hollow and I can’t see them living anywhere else but Stars Hollow. And Chris is not a small town person. He belongs in Hartford or some other big city. He lived in California at one point of the show, so why doesn’t he go back there? That is where he belongs. Miss Patty even said when Chris first moved into Stars Hollow that Chris should be bored stiff in Stars Hollow. So he should just leave. And, like I already said, there is no way that Lorelai is moving anywhere else.

  Yeah, I remember all those things. I think she will be playing it safe if she gets back with Luke and stay in Stars Hollow. Yes she did start her own business but that is not the major focus of the show. You do have a point with Stars Hollow. She does have deep connection with the place. But when I think of her I think of her starting some new big adventure and it does not include Luke or Stars Hollow. I think Chris is that adventure. Just my thoughts.

  Hey ya all first id like ta commint onwhat ya all saying that chris was bettr for lore than look was but it just aint true you just keep bullshitn that way and finerly make things happen that way cuz they gonna write what most say but i donwant it taht way cuz i want luke and lore 2gether 4ever it just so needs be that way so please please please stop saying that cris ist better cuz it aint true it so damn aint true
