Gilmore Girls’ Melissa McCarthy (our lovable Sookie) is pregnant!
Gilmore Girls actress Melissa McCarthy is expecting her first child with actor hubby Ben Falcone, her rep Jack Ketsoyan tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The baby is due in May. The couple wed in 2005.
"We are so excited about the baby," McCarthy tells PEOPLE. "I’m hoping the baby has a lot of Ben’s calm traits and less of my spazzy ones."

That’s great! It kinda makes me wonder, though, what they’ll do with her on the show? She obviously can’t become pregnant on the show again (Jackson’s surgery)… Interesting

…about the show…i don’t know how is going to be with Sookie…maybe they gonna make her wear coats, or large blouses to cover her stomach.

Congratulations to her! Lets think, it is expected in May, so now she would be 5 months along. Hmmmm, in the past episodes, could you tell she was pregnant? Have to check opposites-are-polar.net. Who knows what the show will do to hide it? Must wait and see, I guess.

BTW, her husband is actor Ben Falcone, who was on the sitcom “Joey.”

Melissa McCarthy is one of the funniest character actors around. I thought she was hilarious in one of the GG Seasons video when she explained just how outrageous her Mom & Dad are with each other. I expect she and her husband will be good parents. And, just maybe, if Lauren Graham doesn’t want to do an 8th season of GG it really won’t matter about MM’s pregnancy. However, they skillfully covered up 2 of Patricia Heaton’s pregnancies on “Raymond”
