  I will not see season 8 with out Alexis Bledel and if Lauren Graham decites to do it with out Alexis, i would lose all respect for her.

  Omg did you read the first scoop!!!! Lorelai and Luke will be HOPEFULLY married and…EXPEXTING A BABY! OMG! i am jumping in my skin! I am kinda disapointed in the whole Rory and Logan issue of having them go their seperate ways… I know everyone hates Logan..but with all that shes been through she deserves to have at least a steady man in her life like Lorelai will. Without someone there with her Lorelai will have Luke and a baby on the way.. abd rory will have no choice but to go hang around stars hollow on the weekends. i dont know i hope they expand on it more as the season progresses. I am really excited for the new season i know it will be excellent!

  What kind of fans are you!!! Why would you not watch the show with Alexis on again off again??? Do you know the opportunities that gives the rest of the town to have great storylines??? That would leave every possibility open.

  Rory could become a reporter on call or something and that could explain why she is away so much. She could go to Grad school and be on some kind of university assignment.

  I would love to see Luke and Lorelai go through her pregnancy or Sookie and Lorelai pregnant at the same time…that would be awesome!!!(imagine Jackson and Luke at the hospital together). What about April having a sibling? Gigi is growing on me but if Christopher leaves he would probable take her with him. I’d miss her at least, not Chris. How about Lane, Zach, the twins and the band. Come on, how funny do you think it will be to see Zach taking care of babies and fighting over them with Mrs. Kim?

  Let’s face it, if Alexis does make limited appearances it would not kill the show it would enhance the relationship between her and Lorelai. If she does decide to make limited appearances at least her not being around won’t be as painful as seeing her and Lorelai fighting. It would give the writers room to let Luke and Lorelai get to know each other again. I would really miss seeing Rory aroung all of the time but I wouldn’t sacrifice the whole ensemble.

  Remember, Rory being away alot gives her a chance to explore her options away from Logan…hint, hint…she might even be able to get back together with Jess…who knows, Milo might want to come back for a great finale even if it’s the last show of the series…

  I’m just saying, don’t give up on the show so quickly. Gilmore Girls forever!!!

  Luke and Lor married and pregnant so fast? Um… can we say jump the shark? While I love the idea, it’s very unbelievable. Needs another season to develop that kind of story line!

  I’m sad that Rory won’t be on much though. Hopefully Alexis will change her mind and will be on at least every other eppisode, even if it’s just a phone call between Lorelai and Rory I’d still like it better than Rory not being there at all.

  Okay! I’m flippin’ going crazy right now!!! L/L expecting a BABY!!! I think I may very well be the happiest person on this earth!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! SOOOO EXCITED!!! I have to admit, although I do love Rory, I love L/L more and would COMPLETELY watch it if L/L were having a baby!!! EEEEEEEEEEK!!!! They’re having a baby!!! I can’t get over it!!!   Lauren Graham has said in the past, that if Gilmore Girls would not work if not for the BOTH of them. She has also repeatdly emphasized the importance of the mother/daughter relationship. I highly doubt, she’d go on without her tv daughter.

  I don`t know, lorelai and luke getting a baby? I mean, I really like this idea, but I think there`s way not enough time in this season to do this believable, it`s too fast, like last time, lorelai running away from the one guy straight to the other. They need another season for that, but with alexis, if she leaves then they really should stop the show, I don`t think it would be succesful anymore. maybe, if the show ends this season they could make a “time jump”, like in the beginning of the season, and that way they maybe could make it believable, that lorelai and luke get married and get a kid?

  Well, it depends on what they can contract her for. Maybe she won’t be in every episode (though I sure hope she is), but perhaps some of them. Kind of like how Logan is in this season.

  What happened to the whole: “These might be the ones” talk that Rory had last season? If one of the Gilmore Girls gets married, then the other one has to as well. What is the point of making Rory single so she is closer with her mom, if Lorelai gets married??

  Awe, come on, the show did not end with ASP departure - and while on that topic, why would she leave her beloved GG’s and not see it thru to the end just because she didn’t get what she wanted….boohoo. If GG were my baby I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to have her - so what does that say for ASP? She put GG in the position it is in and Rosenthal is doing a decent job of what he was left with.

  I will certainly watch if Lauren Graham is doing the show with only occasional appearances from Alexis Bledel. Why not? AB may have other projects in the hamper and what is more natural than her going off to try her craft (journalism).

  Life goes on - even in Stars Hollow.

  The show is called Gilmore Girls, not the Lauren Graham show and no, she does not make that show alone.

  I totally agree with Pamela. With a town like Stars Hollow there would be tons of plots to fill in the gaps in episodes that AB won’t be in. Hello…Kirk alone could fill 3 episodes.

  I think no matter what happens to Gilmore Girls it will always be my favorite tv show..i live and breathe my Gilmore Girls and it will never change no matter what happens! All i wanted was for Luke and Lorelai to get together and the baby was a bonus for me! i think we all need to just relax..the 7th season isnt even over yet and we are all complaining about what will happen next season? come on ppl lets just enjoy for what we know and love GILMORE GIRLS!

  Worst idea they ever had trying to go on without Rory. Some of us don’t watch the show for just Luke and Lorelai. Without Rory, there would be no need for Paris or Logan and even Lane.

  come on ppl i know its tough but please stop blaming DR for making the show go down the crapper. It’s not his fault because that is what ASP left with him. She knew she was going and she left him with a monster to handle. From what he was left with he did a great job.

  I love the show too but they are just characters and as real life ppl they deserve the right to move on with there lives. Just becauseone person leaves i dnt think they would want u to give up on the show just because they want to take part in other projects.

  I just found out at my favorite spoiler website that Lauren will not continue without Alexis. In other words no Alexis, no Gilmore Girls, but would it have really been Gilmore Girls without Rory? No! Also, it said that do not give up on hope. The president of Cw said he would do ANYTHING to keep Lauren and Alexis on. So lets not give out on hope. I hope all of you true Gilmore Girls fanatics hold out for the best season ever. Number 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Okay, I have a brilliant idea!! I say that we all write a letter to Alexis, begging her to do just one more season!!! We need to tell her that we love her and that we know she probably has other things going on in her life, but to not give up on the show and go another season!! We need to tell her that this season started off a little rocky and that we would really like just one more season to really tie it all in together! I feel sure that if everyone pulls together and asks her to stay, then she will! All the rest of the cast says that they want to do another season, I doubt she’ll just give up on us! She seems like a nice person! Who’s with me?!!! I know that in my last comment I said that I would stick by the show even if Rory weren’t on it, but I’ve thought about it, and I’ve decided that it wouldn’t be GG without her!! Even the name wouldn’t make sense!

  Exacttlay they have built this unique town over the last 7 seasons. If AB isn’t on for season 8 then they can expand on character plots. Maybe Gypsy and Andrew can get a romantic story line (that would be funny). We can watch how Lane and Zach rasie the twins. Kirk well is Kirk and there are SOOOOOO many story lines onpen for him. Since supposedly Sookie is having a third (?) that can be a story line. Of course their is also Luke and Lorelai supposededly raising their kid. MAybe April could even get more of a story line. SOOOOOOOOOOOO many people SOOOOOOOOOO many options. Oh yeah I forgot one more MS. Pattty and TAylor could get a romantic story line (that would be cool).

  We can’t forget that Scott Patterson may not be coming back either…if he’s asking for a hefty raise increase. If we want Lorelai AND Luke to be together…WE MUST HAVE A LUKE! And I’m sorry, but NO ONE else can play the part of Luke BUT Scott Patterson. He made that role his, so CW had better get in gear and get all these people back on contract at least for one more season to wrap up all the storylines that have been started, and redeem all the characters that ASP and DR mutilated at the end of season 6 and beginning of season 7.

  i hated the sixth season soo much..i dont agree with the people who said the show ended when amy left- the show was horrible last year and as much as i tyhinnk it was amazing until then.. this season is WAYY better than the last one.

  i agree that luke and lorelai have to end up together..we all waited for years for it to happen.. you knew from the pilot episode that that was how the show would end up. it just hads to be that way.

  while i do think rory single at the end would be nice, i love her with logan and i’d be really upset if they broke up, even if it left rory single. because the point of her being single is to be close with lorelai and if lorelais with luke then theres no point in that. and i want lorelai with luke.

  but its not up to us so we can discuss forever and it doesn’t matter. we just have to trust the writers for this one =]

  This is a great show even if you had Rory pop in and out season 8 you still would have a great fantastic show. Lor and Luke with there story there’s still a story there a least until there married and pregnant and living together with a baby..This ia a great show pleeeese don’t end it yet one more season would make it even better it’s really good now and getting better and like Lauren said at an interview a lot funnier and that is also what attracks all your fans of the show…One more year season 8..Pleeeese!

  I know if Alexis left the show would not be the same. We ALL know that. But still, seriously, what kind of Gilmore Girls fan are you to just stop watching the show because one character leaves? I mean, sure, Alexis Bledel is important, and if your a big Alexis Bledel fan you have every right to stop watching (well in a sense, everyone has the right to stop watching because its a free country, but that’s not the point). David Rosenthall will find something to do while Rory is gone. Lulu and Kirk can get married. Lorelai is going to be pregnant. The town of stars hollow is so silly, and they can have a million event things going on! And Rory is going to stop by a lot anyway. So what are you all complaining about?

  back to the First episode of Gilmore Girls…the Pilot…remember how funny it was? how close rory and lane were? how funny michel was? i mean come on…the show was different after rory went to college..i noticed that the show kind of lost something…it wasn’t the same any more…the characters were growing up…the show ended when ASP left…it is NOT the same anymore…it lost its cute, sweet, lovely Gilmore Girl way…I miss the old Gilmore Girls…

  I can’t believe I am the only one who liked Lorelei with Chris and I was so disappointed to see the show write them off so quickly. There’s nothing worse than predictability and that’s what Luke and Lorelei are. They had their chance but Luke was never man enough for Lorelei. Why postpone a wedding because you found out you’re a daddy, and then not want your fiance to meet her? Christopher has always wanted Lor…hasn’t anyone else seen the scenes with them together? I am so disappointed in this latest turn…and then to hear that she is quickly marrying luke and having his baby? How sad to see a once wonderful show end so poorly.

  By the way, I have never been a Rory and Logan fan. I loved Rory and Jess, and never believed Logan challenged her intellectually like Jess did.

  it’s willn’t be the same without one of the gilmoregirls the show willn’t be good anymore if there’s only 1 gilmoregirl it’s suppose to be the both of them.it’s not fair.
  and i hope that this isn’t the last season of gilmoregirls.and that they will make an 8 season and alexis bledel will play her role and soo will lauren graham and that everything will be fine.

  i really think the show basically ended with amy leaving i mean look how lorelai and rory acted in episode 7.15 when the car broke down. they acted like the barely knew eachother (besides the fact that was wen lorelai told rory abput chris). I love luke and lorelai and i definately think that if its going to end with l&L together and having a babu they are going to need another season i mean it took them four seasons just to kiss! if rory had limited appearances it would suck but it would be better than nothing. the new writer had better pull off a miralce to make all the fans happy! Oh and all u jess and rory fans u sould probably give it up. i am a rory and jess fan but i also like logan (and i kinda like dean too) but the best thing about rory and jess was milo and alexis’ chemistry and now that there is none of that i think i would be better for him not to come back. I love the idea of them bein friends because jess could still challenge her intellectually but there would be no romance. and im sure that if jess and logan spent a little time together logan wouldnt b so much of an ass and they might acually be able to tolerate (sp?) eachother much less bacome friends.

  I have a much different opinion then everyone here.

  Sorry to tell all, but altho GG’s has been about a single mother and her daughter for the past 7seasons, maybe it is time the show switched to a now grown up rory and a married lorelai with a new baby, a new kind of relationship…kinda like a finisher season, a what if or what next season.

  If rory does return once a month it would be enough for me. I would still be dedicated to watching the show every tuesday or whatever day they choose. I’ve always enjoyed watching Lorelai and Luke’s relationship, seeing it start out great, go thru a ton of bumps in the road, even an end, but to see them back together and happy would be worth watching!

  But that’s just me. I see the other’s opinions of it being all about Lorelai and Rory, but you have to realize something…Rory,Alexis Bledel, is all grown up now. Let her have her life! Let her move on and experience more of it. It’s time for something new and who knows…I think it could be great! Don’t judge it til you try it ;o)

  Bit it’s time for a change on the show Rory is grown up but Luke and Lor is still a relation shipo that need to happen and then see it grow..The show is alway has been even with Dean, Jess, and Logan…And all Lor’s men it still going let it play out for Luke and Lor..

  OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone might as well hate me for what i am going to say but i HATE the luke and lorelai relationship i HATE luke he is always complainning about everything and he is such a jerk i dont know i just hate him he is not the one for lorelai .. lorelai deserves someone better…

  and about the rory and logan relationship OMG i cant believe they are going to do that i just LOVE that couple!!!!!!! i am a HUGE RORY AND LOGAN FAN i just will cry if they break up and just 1 episode before the series ENDS!!!!! that is so depressing :(:(:( i hate the CW

  ohh— and if they make an 8th season WITHOUT rory i will DEFINITELY STOP WATCHING IT.. it would KILL the show
