Did Rosenthal revive the old Gilmore Girls last night? [Refering to Santa’s Secret Stuff]
- Yes, totally! There were witty dialogues, crazy moments and even Lane was there!
380 40% of all votes - Yes, a bit. I liked the relief from the love plots.
134 14% of all votes - Yes, somewhat, but not to the same level of Amy Sherman-Palladino

I think the episodes are getting progressively better since 7.10, 7.11 was cute since it had the Lane plotlines and 7.12 had the typical Gilmore style drama that always happens at this point in the season. I think Gilmore Girls is coming back.
Before I used to find the dialogue funny but I could tell they were different writers because it had a slower vibe and wasn’t quite as dry humor/witty as it used to be. However I can honestly say that the writing is getting about as close as it can get to capturing the Palladino glamour. I’m very satisfied so far with the show.

Where were the insane media references?
I really miss those.
It just makes me think Rosey is trying to focus on “new” Lorelei quis (muffin tops) instead of focusing on the bizarre and necessary (and highly obscure) gilmore-isms. Where are the freaky literaru references? I couldn’t find very many in the last couple of episodes… but the plot is definitley improving!!

exactly.. there are practically no weird pop culture references… i loved how in the old episodes you would have no idea what someone was talking about and then hear it later on in life and then say I heard that on gilmore girls. I miss that!

i agree i don’t laugh as much in the current episodes. The show sure has gotten somewhat less “witty.” my favorite scene of all time that made laugh the most ever was probably the “Luke pushing Jess into the lake” scene. it never gets old =]

I’m coming to like it, but I really miss Stars Hollow and all the quirky characters. You haven’t seen much of Taylor, Kirk, Ms. Patty or any of them since this season started. And, there really aren’t a lot of pop references either. I do like the way the story line is going though. I really don’t want Lorelai to end up with Christopher. She’s not herself. Maybe that’s why we haven’t seen much of Stars Hollow or pop references. It’s Christopher’s fault! lol
I just came upon your site today. I’m looking for Gilmore Girls icons. I like your site though!
