Basically, Lorelai realizes something about the men in her life. When Richard falls ill, Lorelai cannot reach Chris, who has run off to sulk about a fight with Lorelai, but Luke runs to the aid unasked-for and helps Emily run errands. Logan supports Rory at the hospital. When Chris arrives at the hospital, he does not like what he sees. Lorelai ends her marriage with Christopher - it’s not a mutual decision. Lucy helps Rory mend things with Marty - but Marty & Lucy break up.When Logan hears of Richard’s health, he borrows a helicopter to come see Rory and together they collect some of Richard’s personal items for the hospital room.   Luke is like always similing in Lorelai’s mist. Last season when they wer together he was always similing. He smiled a lot when they were dating (except of course for when they weren’t). Even before they got together he was so in love with her that he had a huge smile on his face.

  And guess what Chris is just stomping away when they have a fight. He dosn’t step up to help when his father- in-law is having emergency heart surgery. And he is tottaly in love with Lorelai but he isn’t smiling.

  Lorelai was also smiling more when she and Luke were togther (except when April was brought up) . L&L smiled so much because they were in love with each other seceretly, not showing it, and not doing anything about it for almost a decade.

  In conclusion Luke needs to smile more. Lorelai needs to smile more and dump Chris. Chris needs to smile more because HE HAD GIGI AND RORY.

  Rory is right she never saw Lorelai as happy as she was with Luke before and now after.

  awwww…the pictures of richard in the hospital bed and emily crying break my heart. :( I feel so bad for the both of them. I love the ones of Luke and Lorelai and the one where Lorelai are Rory are hugging.

  (Did anyone notice how happy Rory seemed when Luke showed up at the hospital?)
