  I am not sure if I want an 8th season or not. I think the show is so much different that it would have been if Amy and Dan had stayed on. It would have been better if they had just let them finish the show. I don’t even care if I miss it anymore. It’s not as good as it used to be.

  I don’t get why people have so much sympathy for Amy and Dan. They were the ones who led us down the road for a dreary season six. They were the ones who left us with Lorelai and Chris in bed. What was their plan to make season seven so great?

  Plus, there were zero extra features on the season six DVD set. I bet that was their doing too.

  Season 8 of GG will be better than anything The CW could possibility replace the show with. Go Great8Mandate. Long live Gilmore Girls.

  What I don’t understand is why AB would want to leave the show - does she have a big career move on the horizon? She is fairly good actor and has gotten better along the way but, what is stopping her from the 8th season - $$$ maybe a ploy.

  Note to Ann: Didn’t The Palladino’s only wanted GG to go for 7 seasons, hence the cheesy ending in the 6th season so they could pretty it up in the 7th? Could be wrong.

  I hope that there is an eighth season because spoilers from MA say that Luke and Lorelai will be in a relationship by the end of the season, but will not be married or anything. I think that since we had to sit and watch Christopher and Lorelai be married, we should get to see Luke and Lorelai and their married life.

  Also, I think it will be neat to see what Rory is up to after graduation. In all the seasons, we have seen her dream of becoming a journalist, so we should get to see her achieving that dream.

  Here’s a note from a huge GG fan in Holland. I really hope there will be an 8th season but only if Alexis and Lauren really want it. Because, if they don’t you’ll notice it and that would not be a good thing!!!!

  I agree we should be able to enjoy L&L & watch Rory fulfill her dreams. I have a feeling that they will leave us hanging like on Friends. They will just kinds point them in the right direction and we will have to draw our own conclusions. What a sucky way to end such a great show. I hope my feeling is wrong

  Actually, part of the reason the Palladinos left was becuse they WANTED a season 8 and at the time The WB/The CW wouldn’t give it to them. My how the tables have turned.

  The show really needs to come back for an 8th season. As much as I loved it when Amy and Daniel were writing for it, the show isn’t ready to bow out! There will be so many unanswered questions. Where will Rory be? What about Lorelai and Luke? Come on…we need just one more season. Heck, even half a season!

  haha i agree with britt! yeah i loved it when amy and dan were doing it but i also think that it is turning out ok this season… but we need time to see what will happen to rory… where she will live and work? will she stay with logan? and then lorelai and luke? will they get married finally? have kids? or what? i want another season or even a half of one just to see where it is going… so yeah i am ready for it to be done but i also know that we need one more season because this one is almost over!!! i have followed this show from the episode 1 and if they do season 8 i will watch it too… unless they dont do it… w/e that is my opinion…

  I agree with you guys. No need for the show to go on if Luke and Lorelai do not end up together. It’s what kept you watching was their love story. You can’t help but love Luke because he love Lorelai sooo very much! They are sweet and funny together. Luke has always been there for Lor. I cannot stand Chris, he is such a jerk to Lor. Anyway, I really hope that they have an 8th season but better to end it with Luke and Lor than to ruin the entire show by pairing up Chris and Lor.

  I’m unsure if I want a season 8. I want Lorelai and Luke back together, married and maybe a baby on the way..
  I’ve heard Logan and Rory split, which may be a good thing for her. But I think the show should end with Rory graduating from college and getting a real job and maybe Lorelai surprising her with the fact that she has another sibling on the way???

  But if it does go to an 8th season i’d love to see the luke lorelai wedding and maybe Logan and Rory make it official too???

  I went to LA/Burbank the week of March 15th and I was able to walk onto the set of Gilmore Girls and watch them film! My uncle is a movie director out there and knows someone who works for the show! I got to meet Scott Patterson, Vanessa (the girl who plays April), Keiko, the guy who plays Zach, and many more! I went into Luke’s diner, Dooses’ market and soda shoppe, the Gilmore Girls house, Sookie’s house, Ms. Kim’s antique shop, etc. I have pictures! It was a dream come true! Anyways…I met the crew and they weren’t sure about the future of gilmore girls. They said to write into the WB and tell them how much you love the show so they will bring it back next season! I absolutely LOVE this show…and hope they renew it! So write into Warner Brothers!!

  the episode that aired (finally) tonight, 17 april, was the first episode for months that really rocked. it demonstrated wit and reality. the scene between lor and logan came across as totally real. also, this episode was NOT formulaic and predictable. the past few episodes of season 7 were disappointing. if we can get more of what we saw tonight, then please give us another season. however, if the writers are going to butcher this great show, then let it die with some dignity.

  There should DEF be an 8th season..besides 7th Heaven, it has been the best show out there, even the “crappy” 6th season was good for me. It would be good 2 show luke and lorelei getting married, and her pregnant with the twins she had that dream about in the early seasons. lol. Rory has to be with someone, give me feed back on who u think it will be (or someone new).

  OMG!! I just saw the very last episode and omg im soooooooo sad!! Morgan, ur so right, I need to see Luke and Lorelai together, one kiss isn’t enough!!! We all have waited so for this and we arn’t even for sure if it’s a for sure thing! And what about rory!!??She doesn’t even end up wit Logan~OMG!!!   yes, it has been great. i dont think it is just alexis that doesnt want to, but i keep reading in magazines that lauren graham is relieved that its over, and emily (forgot her name) cant wait to be in more movies or on broadway. but it is a huge disappointment…it wasnt even an ending, really.

  I grew up watching Gilmore Girls and heard that there might not be a Season 8 a few months ago. Well I didn’t pay much attention because I thought there was no way that could happen. When I heard the commercial a few weeks ago saying that the last episode of Season 7 would be the series finale, I was devastated. I always went to Gilmore Girls for entertainment and when I was sad. I now vow not to watch Alexis or Lauren in any other roles they play until they’re back as Gilmore Girls! It will be tough, but I can’t take them not being Gilmore Girls.

  Hi, I’m from Argentina and I love GG. I don’t understand why Alexis would want to leave the show. All the time we hear from actors that leaving theirs shows was a mistake, and the few times I saw Alexis on film, she wasn’t good. If she leaves the show, she’ll regret it. I want to see what’s going on with Lorelai and Luke together and with Rory as a journalist or in retail, if she doesn’t get any job…

  i really want another season. it would be lovely to have a real ending, some sort of “closure” for the fans. the ending of this season is more of a teaser than anything. what happens to rory? what about lore and luke? and logan? i dont care if they only make 11 episodes, i just think they should make the 8th season out of respect for all the fans who were left with a lot of open questions at the end of the last episode of season 7.

  Happily Ever After feeling from the finale. I have watched many shows in my lifetime and Gilmore Girls is rated #1 for me. In all honesty, a season 8

  I want an ending.. Desperatly! I don’t care if the result is another season, half a season or only one episode. But I need to see Loralai and Luke, happily married, possibly a couple of kids, don’t know how realistic agewise, but still. And Rory not too far away, married to Jess(or Logan or Dean or whatever) with a couple of kids and an amazing career in journalism. Both of them close, and also Sookie and Lane in the picture. Season 100, lets go..:)

  hi i totally agree there needs to b a season 8 even just one or two episodes to end it properly and say fair well to the cast that endin of episode 7 was way too much up in the air. i dont ususally comment on fan sites like this but i truely love this show. I’m from ireland and they stoped showin gilmore girls on terestrial tv seasons ago but i have bn keeping up to date via Sky tv and the internet…..think this show is amazin and it needs a proper send off.

  They have to do a season 8. Season 7 end isn’t a good ending. LB needs to do the show and get the job she dreamed of.LG needs to get together with Luke(don’t no real name) again because the end of season 7 made it look like they were getting back together.I Love GILMORE GIRLS. I have 14 dvd disk from recordering them every time they were on. I watch the eposodes 5 millon times. I know most of the lines. Just yesterday and today i watched the whole season 7 of GG for the 3rd time. They have to continue or i will go crazy. GG is to good to just stop now. I am a GILMORE GIRLS fan. I vote for Season 8.

  We need a season 8. There is no other posibility. The movie sounds good also, but a movie has more drama than a TV show and it would change the original flavor of the series. We all agree with the season 8 idea. Amy Sherman Palladino is so talented that I know she will give a decent end to this wonderful story.
  People need hope, life is so short, so why wasting our time watching a tv show with criminality, forensics, murder,etc…We are tired of violence on TV, we don’t want people to remind us how cruel life could be . We want something refreshing, we want to laugh and we want to be treated like the smart people we are. Gilmore Girls has offerd healthy food, smart and funny entretaintment to all of us for 7 years and they just end it for no reason. Would you imagine a vegan eating Beef? We don’t want another TV Show.The audience claims for Gilmore Girls Season 8.

  I have been watching the gilmore girls dvds Non-Stop too. i just think that rory should of said yes to logan because in the 5th season where they met and got together…it just seemed that they really liked each other and they deserve each other. and loreali and luke should get married i’ve been waiting for them too get married and like loves loreali he’s been waiting for her and the end of the 6th season i couldnt believe luke wouldnt go for that elopeing. loreali belongs with luke she’s better offf with him then christopher. really they both L&L always kinda liked each other but never really had the guts to say it to each other till the end of the 4th season. i really want to see them married…and maybe have a few kids….so i have to agree BRING BACK GILMORE GIRLS SEASON EIGHT….THERE IS ALOT OF PEOPLE WITH QUESTIONS ON EVERYTHING….i think if 7th heaven couldnt get a good season finale then GG should be able to satify the fans…. SO BRING BACK GILMORE GIRLS FOR A SEASON 8.

  I don’t think that there should be a season eight. I know that you all disagree but this leaves too much room for loralie and luke to break up and everything to become a disaster. I disagree.

  ,because Rory is going to probably get married and then the whole show will be about GG. Also they wouldn’t be able to call the show Gilmore Girls if Rory’s not in it.So I hope that GG isn’t in the 7th and the 8th ones I think that would ruin the show.

  I Deff think there should be an 8th season. Gilmore Girls is too good to cancel and my grandma loves it and she cried when the series finally was over and if there was another season it would make us both so happy!!! I love Gilmore Girls and I hate to see it end especially without knowing for sure if the kiss between Luke and Loralie at the end meant they were back togethet or not. It just kills us not noing if they are together or just friends!!!

  @Traci: I think it’s more of a question if Lauren would do another season without Alexis since she seems to be the one who really doesn’t want to continue (IMHO).

  I don’t need everyone to be married with kids, I just wanna have my girls for one more season - married or not. But there are still so many things that need to be solved.

  I dont think GG would b as great without alexis, but its still the same show. I think she is still shooting The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 right now. They should still have an 8th season and if they cant get alexis to join again, they could arrange it to where lorelai calls rory wherever she is on a regular basis.

  I just have to start out by saying I started watching gilmore girls in the fall of 2006 or the 7th season. I never really thought that Gilmore girls would be my show. But one day I decided to get season 5 and fell in love with the show. I relized that I am a rory and my mom and I are the gilmore girls we talk so much and we are best friends too. My heart was broken on May 2 my bday when I found out the show was cancelled. I have laughed tons cried when rory said NO to logan. And half way through the series finale I lost it and started crying really hard. Well what can I say I watch 2-12 episodes a day and Gilmore girls is my show. I know that gilmore girls isnt coming back this year but maybe after the TV movie it will. SO I LOVE GILMORE GIRLS! It has taught me so many great things about life it is awful it has to end. Best wishes to the Cast! I would love a season 8.

  Gilmore Girls is the greatest show on TV of this entire decade, it is a hit… I was starting my carrer as a medical student when I began watching this show, I know that everythings comes to an end in life but, this season finale was not even close to an end. People in this blog are complaining about the way it abruptly ended. It was not an end. It can’t be. Writers and producers should feel disapointed at themselves because we are not happy with this, how to call it? Pseudo-season-finale, but they have the a solution in their hands…TO SAVE THE GILMORE GIRLS….CW should go for a season 8, it may be shorter but a good one, that concentrates everything, we all like the show, no questions about that, so, in honor to our continue preference to this magnificent story produced by Amy Sherman Palladino, they should reconsider the idea of giving to this wonderful story a great, magic, refreshing, funny and romantic end that the characters (and public in general) deserve.

  I love GG. I hope they don’t make season 8 as an end and continue the show at least until season 11. I mean Gilmore Girls is even more successful than 7th Heaven (11 seasons). I think it’s totally okay if they make a break for a few years and make at least 4 more seasons later. The actors want to do other things and Amy has a new show now. But I know that we’ll love GG in a few years even more than now, and then Amy has a lot time to do a lot more seasons. The actors want a break and Amy wants to do a new show, but they want to come back maybe in 2 years and with new energy and for a lot more sesons. And It would be really sad to see Rory get married. The young woman who just started working get married and pregnant. She’s 22 years old, damn it! I would love to see that, but when she’s a lot older! And Lorelai and Luke get married after Lorelai had a relitionship with Christopher and Luke has a doughter? They needed 8 years to become a couple! I don’t know but It seems like all that stuff what could happen in 4 more seasons get filled up in 1 more seasons. I hope the CW sees that it’s impossible! This show was never only about the realationships!!!!! That was not even the half story of the show. It was always about the mother - daughter relationship and the town! Please don’t make a fast end and make this to a “Gilmore Girls and Guys” show. That was the show never about!!!!!! Please continue the show at least for 4 more years!!!!! It’s so much story still in it!!!!!!! Even we must wait for it, but an fast end is even much more dissapointing!!!!! It’s hard to say, but if they really will do it - I’m not the one who watchs it.   It was shock for me to see they are not airing GG, i was gone on vacation so didn’t know this was happening. I loved the season finally of GG Season 7. It was truly unpredictable. and amazing.
  one last season will be a good end….and bye bye to the fans and the cast.
  They Should have something like Rory getting back together with Logan and moving to SF and living with him married like a rich snob :)

  look i never liked gilmore girls till this year and i watched all 6th season’s in 2months and i have a toddler that runn’s around and i saw the last ephisode on cw last week and i was like give me a break this was a great show and they craped all over the last ephisode it could of been great but they just ended it like it was some show that was on for just a year or 2 and they wanted to give it a crampy ending so maybe people would just hurry up and for get about this great show that once was well dame that they need to make a season 8 and give the show a great ending like it diserves… the people on the show diserve more that than!!! beside all the new show’s there coming up with on cw are all mostly crapy show’s they should at least have one good one going for a while so they can bring in a new good show… give the fan’s what they want a happy pridictable ending nobody does that any more the happy endings people want happy endings now a days espesholy with show’s like this one because people watch them to get away from there crapy lives that haven’t got a happy ending or are too stressed out to deal with reality…. give it a Happy Ending that’s all i got to say make season 8 happen….

  Oh no…. I can’t live without my GG show… Why??? We need at least one more season to be able to say good bye and see Lorelai and Luke happily marry and Rory very well in her career and love life….

  I think GG should go on for at least 4 more seasons. An end would be for me very disappointing. GG is more successful than 7th Heaven, so it should get at least 11 seasons too.
  It would be dissapointing to see a wedding because the show was never just about Luke and Lorelai. “It’s about two funny woman who only need each other and happen to be mother and daughter.” An end would be my worst nightmare. I don’t want it! I want GG go on for at least 4 more seasons. Whenever I wait. But please never make a season 8 as an end or a movoe to end the show. There is a lot more you can show …. A LOT … for at least 4 more seasons. Don’t make a short end … I will always miss then all the storys who could happen. I miss Stars Hollow so much and Amy and Dan. I really do. GG 4 EVER! Reasons4seasonS-at least 4 more seasons. We love GG

  They should so bring back Gilmore Girls so many people freaking love it!Gilmore Girls is my favorite show I wish I could like meet them.If they came back with the 8th season they should add another Gilmore Girl but like Lorelei’s daughter not a step daughter a real one.It would be cool if they did and they let the young Gilmore Girls fan’s tryout.Gilmore Girls is like the most fun show to watch like everyday on abc family I wish that it would still be on the WB.Well g2g I am gonnago watch some Gilmore Girls bye

  i really hope they continue to another season, at least a few more!i want to see if lorelai and Luke get married!and what of Rory?pleeeease, dont make the ending end with just a kiss!there has to be so much more! even my hubby really likes the story lines! and it’s so a chic show please let there be a season 8!

  We really do need another season. way too many unanswered questions????? ex luke and Lor, rory, and Sooike’s pregancy - girl or boy! and all other cast including lor’s parents. Will she work with her mother or wont she??? plenty more storylines there. A Luke and Lor Wedding, celebrating her 40th Birthday??? so you can see there needs to be atleast one more season of our favourite girls. (well thats my thought anyhow).

  Yes, if Amy agrees to a movie why not make more seasons? A movie is dissaponting, I DO NOT want it. There’s a lot more they could show. I DO NOT want an end!!!!! There should be more seasons - AT LEAST 11 SEASONS. GG is more successful than 7th Heaven!!!   i think rory should mary or get together with jess instead of Logan. Jess is soooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Logan is soooooooooo ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets see what you have to say about that!! HUH?!
