Gilmore Girls spoilers

There is a "spoiler" floating around that Rory and Logan will break up for good on Gilmore Girls before the season ends. Is there any truth to this?
Ausiello: I think I know how this rumor got started. Matt Czuchry is attached to a fall pilot, and folks are assuming that that means he’s leaving Gilmore Girls. Not so. The pilot, Gravity, is in "second position," which is a fancy way of saying he can appear in it if and only if Gilmore Girls doesn’t return for an eighth season. (No news on that front, BTW.)Thanks for the scoop about Lorelai going back to Luke’s diner! As you said, finally!
Ausiello: That reminds me, I never got around to telling you what happens after their whole diner reunion. It involves car shopping and a really big argument. Oh, and I just found out that the following week’s episode (that’s No. 20 for those keeping track at home) features a Gilmore Girls first: Lauren Graham singing one of ABBA’s greatest hits!
Lorelai and ABBA?! So cute! But if it comes to Matt Czuchry, I would rather Logan and Rory break up than have Gilmore Girls end altogether. Really.

Ok, a bunch of new stuff on crazy-internet-people, some of it confusing.
First off, for episode 7.20, AKA the one in which Lauren is singing ABBA
“I forgot to mention that during our tour, they were just finishing putting thousands of mini lights on the gazebo. The whole thing was covered.”
To me, this says “Hello Luke & Lorelai Reunion!!” Think about it, remember how decorated the gazebo was when Luke and Lorelai toasted their engagement? But, I know there are thousands of other explanations, but I can dream, can’t I?
Anyway, here is the confusing part.
First, you see this-
“We did a tour this afternoon, and got some WONDERFUL news! SPOILER: GG is returning for an 8th season, and we were told that the WB and the CW are both “very, very excited abut it”. Sounds to us like that means all the cast will return.”
And at first, I was jumping for joy! But then I look down, and see this-
“Carrie in Wailuku, Hawaii: Have you heard anything about Supernatural’s chances for a third season?
Kristin: Sadly, it’s not looking good. Ditto for Gilmore Girls. And The Class.”
Who to believe?? I really want to believe the tour guys, and that is who I am leaning toward (since they went right to the source).

Don’t you think that if the fans make a big push for the return of GG that the CW will renew the series. Unless, of course, the viewing numbers just aren’t there. I’ve already sent in my two letters as, requested by the great8mandate. I don’t want to see this lovely, funny show end so I choose to believe the tour guys.

It’s not whether or not the CW will renew the show, but whether or not the cast renews their contract. Rumors are Alexis is holding out. I am in suspense. The show is definatly not what it was since Amy left, but if it ended this season, the characters stories don’t feel finished. We need one more.

As much as I love me some GG, I don’t want Rory and Logan to break up. I do hate the guy, I would much rather he be Jess (or even Dean…) but no more DRAMA in Rory’s life…Lorelai brings enough for everyone!

O, even though MA said that they are not going to break up, there has been another new thing on crazy-internet-people that they are going to break up!
“I asked my “source” yesterday and I was also told that it is planned to make Rory and Logan break up.”
Who knows what really is going to happen?
Anyway, there was another new thing about episode 7.20 and what song Lauren will be singing!-
“Lorelai sings Fernando, in a karaoke contest or something similar, but this may change”

“From the information I’ve received (not from my regular source) that’s the song she’ll be singing.

Most likely this, but they’ll still choose the songs they’re most comfortable to sing. So my guess is there could be a reason why Lorelai chooses to sing Fernando.
That being said episode 20 doesn’t start filming till next week so there’s plenty of time for them to rewrite it since Ausiello loves spilling stuff before it’s even filmed these days”

Yes! We need a season 8 to finish the chracters off in a natural way that the fans deserve. If they really want to save this show they could do it in one word. JESS!!! PLEASE JUST BRING BACK JESS. Logan will never be as smart, charming or sexy as Jess is when he just walks into a room! Jess is really the one for her, and he will bring out all those qualities that make Rory both smart, charming, and human. Of course, Luke and Lore need to be together so that needs to happen the right way. So make it work writers!! BRING JESS BACK!!! Honk if you agree!

Okay Folks, let’s face it. they can’t just make Logan nice for one episode and think we will be fooled. We all know Logan can’t be trusted!!! Now take sometime and think about the only time our hearts jumped when we saw Rory with a man…( I give you a minute…) JESS!!! IT MUST BE JESS!! This whole Logan thing is a good filler, but the truth is, we loved howintense there relationship was. Logan could fall from the earth today and we would be a little upset because the writers would make Rory upset but honestly, we’d be over it by the next episode. When Jess left, our hearts were just as broken as hers. He is the one.
The only man she has ever been with with complexity deep enough to match Rory’s and capture our interest. He is also the only one who brought the best of both sides out of Rory and made her seem real. All other guy just made her a side kick in their lives. especially Logan, with whom her entire plot has seemed to circle around. She caters to him, she fights for him, she get’s mad at him , she forgives him, she is happy for his business, mad at his family, the list goes on and on!!! Can you honestly form a paragraph about what really happened to her in college outside of Logan? No! That comes as a real disapointment considering she is very intellgent and the audience deserved to watch her grow into her brilliant mind.
Even Paris, after her male crises seemed to maintain herself! Rory was completly lost into the man she was with. However, it would be so cruel to watch her end up alone, becuase she has such a loveing heart. She should be with the only man good enough for her and the show, Jess!! And come on guys, wouldn’t it be soooo great if the writers surprised us with him coming back into town and opening up a business ( Book store!!) and running into Rory! If they gave us that the show could end right there. I bet Bledel would not be leaving the show if they took Rory in a better direction. Honk if you agree!

Dr. K - I agree that Jess coming back would be wonderful…but I see a problem. Alexis and Milo were dating, and are history now. I don’t know that the chemistry would be there on screen anymore…and Milo is tied to Heros, which may also cause some issues…

and yeah milo is never coming back as a regular, but a special appearance in the last episodes doesn’t seem so crazy

“I was told of the dollhouse spoiler. The person who told me said “it gets destroyed badly…like crushed”. They didn’t say how. But the dollhouse was there, with a black sheet over part of it, and some sort of electrical device attached to the bottom of it. (however that may have just been some lighting thing or something, but I thought it was weird, so I’m mentioning it)
Also, I asked a different person for confirmation of the S8 news we had gotten the day before on tour. This person said that they hadn’t heard anything official yet, but that he had spoken with Matt Czuchry (yes, this is where I giggled and went all fangirly that the person I talked to had even talked to Matt) a few days ago, and that he said that everyone “was in”, they were just waiting on the TWO girls.
However, the guy admitted it was a few days ago, and that our news was later. When I told him I had heard it from a different person, he wasn’t surprised, and said it’s probably true, he just hadn’t heard it confirmed himself yet.”

Wow. There was a ton of information in all those comments!
First-I want to say thanks so much to em for giving us all those amazing spoilers! I am really really hoping for an 8th season. You are all right, this show cant end now. It would be so unsatisfying and dissapointing! I want so much to happen. Im really happy the odds of having a season 8 are starting to lean in our favor!
second-I really really really hope that logan and rory break up! i have NEVER liked logan. sure he had his sweet moments, but then he ALWAYS goes back to same old jerk off logan. He’s horrible for rory. I agree with Dr. K…outside of Logan, NOTHING has happend to Rory while she has been at college. Which is real sad. Her whole character for the past what? 2 and a half years has revolved around Logan and that sucks cuz he seems to care more about other things besides her. I want something new and exciting for rory. she deserves it. As dumb as this sounds, i looked up to her in like season 1-4. How she was so focused and so simple. She always used to say she didnt want to be that type of girl that turns into a “girl that cant live without a boyfriend”. Well she has turned into that girl. I lost a ton of respect for her over the past couple seasons, but slowly, my respect is coming back, like how she didnt give in to logan right away in the last episode. I think once he’s gone, she’ll be the old rory that EVERYONE loved.
And yea, Jess would be nice, jess coming back would be more than nice, it would be fantastic. He IS the only one the knows the real rory and brings out the real her. He’s perfect for her.Ive always loved Jess. But lets face he’s on Heros and he and alexis DID break up. If you ask me, you can do more than two shows (especially if he doesnt do GG full time, for now. It would be really nice if he decided that he liked GG more than Heros and did GG full time!!! i can dream ok?) and he and alexis can try to work things out enough to be professional. Tough as that may sound. But whatever happens with Jess, I hope rory and logan break up

First, from a tour…
“I want to see if Lorelai really kept the TV too or if they just hadn’t taken it down yet when I saw it. They wouldn’t let us walk around the sets of the interior of Lorelai’s house for some reason even though we were right there in the soundstage. We could only look in the windows. Rory’s room was wide open, though. It was really bare, nothing on the walls or shelves except one lone Yale pendant. It looked like it hadn’t been used in awhile. Oh, and we went inside Luke’s Diner too. Nothing really interesting to report from there (except the fact I was inside Luke’s Diner!!!!). The No Cell Phones sign wasn’t there. I don’t know if it had just fallen down or that has anything to do with a storyline. I was a little bummed because I really wanted a picture of it.”
That’s it. I wonder what happened to the sign?? I hope it just fell.

Awww, the troubadour is back!! Here, it is a studio tour bit-
“I did see a teeny part of the teaser for 7.18 filmed, well, the rehearsal anyway. There was Lorelai, Gypsy, & Miss Patty watching the nice strong guys unloading hay bales. And the troubadour was there - got to hear him play, but not close enough to make out the song. But nice to see him back!”

“Not much of the maze was up yet then…the part in front of the high school was. And it was tall and hard to see over, lol. The guys unloading the hay were over by the church end of the square, I was by Luke’s. They were practicing unloading, without lifting the hay…it was funny to watch. And yes, the Troubadour was there, and he was wearing his brown coat like always. So nice that things are returning to normal in Stars Hollow.
Lauren rode up on her bicycle.”

I have just taken two deluxe tours and thought I would add what I know based on the comments I have read.
I saw the dollhouse and it was really destroyed. However, our guide said it was not Lorelai who does it. Perhaps it is some type of accident? Just a guess?
We saw the “No cell phone sign” in Luke’s so that is still there.
I should tell you that I met Michael Delouise (not sure if I spelled that just right) who plays T.J. at a Disney Channel taping — his brother plays the father on a new DC show. Anyway, I got to speak to him and ask him about the likelihood of a Season 8. He told me that he hopes it will happen, but he thinks it is unlikely.
There are only two episodes left to tape and Alexis will have to make her decision soon for that final episode to be written.
The episode they were filming included Lorelai and Babette and Miss Patty at Luke’s, a flashback of Rory in her Chilton uniform at Chilton, a Friday night dinner at the grandparents, and more…

To everyone who keeps rambling about how horrible Logan is and how much he is bringing down Rory and how he is not good for her and everything else. —- You want Jess to come back because he “brought out the best in her” or “he put her first” ect. I would just like to point out that after Rory and him started dating he told her the only reasons to go to town functions was to get her and now that he has her he would not go. I also would like to point out that when she asked him to go to her grandparents house he showed up 30 minutes late with a black eye. Now I know it was a swan but he yelled at Rory instead of explaining and then it took Luke talking to him to get him to rethink his dropping the relationship. He also failed his senior year of high school and didnt take Rory to the prom and didnt come to her graduation and took off without saying good-bye. Might I add for the second time. He took out his anger about not passing H.S. on Rory at the party yelling at her, moping around, and trying to get her to have sex with him.
Ehem. I would list more but my hand is cramping.
But to the point.
When Logan would mess up instead of running away without saying anything to anyone he would stay find Rory and talk things out with her. He is usually right and then they are fine again. I would also like to point out that when Jess came back to the show in season six Rory had the option of being with Jess and she turned it down because she was “in love with him”.
Now apparrently instead of worrying about whether or not our precious show is going to be cancelled or writing letters to try and get them to keep it on you are spending your time whining because you thought Jess was pretty and you would like for Rory to get hartbroken so you can have your fun. Sick sick people.

I so agree with your Lauri Ann on all the Jess stuff and more. Coming back and out of the blue asking Rory to run away with him? Who does this guy think he is? That was just crazy to me. But seriously, I so hate that the show is probably ending. I love this show and I love Rory and Logan together because for once Rory persued someone and it wasn’t just all she decided to be with whoever was fawning all over her and for two, it relationship hasn’t been portrayed as all roses. The reality of it is college relationships are rocky. This relationship was real and I think the character (Rory) is better for having had it.
Okay, Lorelai going to Rory’s graduation with Christopher, I for one would love to see that for Rory’s sake. Despite the demise of thier too short marriage they are still Rory’s Parents. I think it would be wonderful if the two were allowed to do that together for her. They all deserve it.
I am against a Loreai/Luke romantic reconciliation. I would love to see them move past the awkwardness and the not speaking, but I like thier chemistry much better as friends. If the show does so another season I would hate for it to be yet another saga in that relationship coming back together.
Okay, enough from me.. I just had to add these things and the fact that I got a little misty eye when I read that Rory and Logan would be breaking up. [sigh]

I find it funny that Joie thinks Lorelai and Luke work better as friends. Even when the two of them were dating or married to other people they still had a thing for each other. To me, that’s not really a friendship. What I mean is, the friendship can’t exist without that attraction. Take away the romantic aspect and you are left with what we’ve been left with this season: nothing. Lorelai and Luke have too much attraction towards each other to be friends and not be together. It’s gone beyond “Let’s just be friends.” There is no going back.
With Rory and Logan - I think Logan is fine, but he needs to be more… I don’t know. Trustworthy, maybe? More of a human, I guess, before I warm up to him. I don’t and have never thought Jess should come back to the show. I used to hope that Rory would get together with Marty, but they ruined that possibility this season.
And let me be the one to say I hope nothing horrible goes wrong with Rory this season because I really like the Gilmore Girls (okay, LOVE) but I can’t stand watching “Rory” fake cry. It’s just not convincing.

My guess: Logan and Rory break up. Rory doesn’t get her fellowship. She ends the series having to work her way up on a small-town paper (a la LG at the inn). If they really want to add some drama she’ll be pregnant and Logan will be on his way out the door (a la Christopher).
