Getting close… Season 8 looking warmer
We’ve been on again, off again with news of Season 8 Gilmore Girls. Will it happen, won’t it happen? First, they say Lauren Graham won’t sign on. Then she was ok, but Alexis Bledel was on the fence and Lauren will side with her. It’s been a long path.
Now, news is coming out slowly that the rest of the cast are signing up for Season 8. Including Scott Patterson.

So… perhaps they are showing their support and encouragement so that Alexis and Lauren sign on too.

I just want to say ” I love the Gilmore girls”. This show has been a big part of my Tuesday nights for close to seven years, I have always made time or I just catch up by buying the seasons. We all have watched the charactors of the show grow into people we now love.
But the show isn’t the same, this season has been boring but it has had it’s moments. Their could be an eighth season if the story line was better. It just doesn’t have that kick to it anymore . Luke and Loralai have always been a huge part of the show we’ve watched them fight and then make up, we’ve seen them as friends then lovers and I have been bored with the seaon because it’s taking too long. Kirk hasn’t been seen much, Miss Patty and babbet they were all great charactors, and the writers are screwing up because because quiky charactors was a big part of the show.
I could understand why they don’t want to sign up for the eighth season. No good story lines!!!!!

everyone who thinks this season was bad and they should en it, why would you want a show that has been so wonderful in the past to en when it isn’t so good? don’t you want it to end on a amazing season?

i second that emotion — this used to be my very favorite show for the sharpness of the dialogue and the cute-yet-clever Girls — but now the dialogue limps along on the tiredest of pop culture references and teenybopper slang and the Girls are not even a little bit clever — even the “brain” of the show, Rory, is reduced to inane cliches and “ohmigod” bubble-gum-ditzy expressions. Letting the show end now is like putting a beloved dog to sleep — better to end it now than to have it limp and suffer along to another pathetic season as a mere shadow of the self you loved.

I hope Alexis does not make the same mistake that many actors before her made. That is, to quite because they felt that they were on top of their career and they can go into movies. Well, I hate pop her balloon, but most of them DON’T do anything after their showand drop out of the public eye and interest. I guess it’s because the public get angry and turn their backs on them. For me, Gilmore Girls is the only show I watch. If it ends I will be heart broken. If that happens, then in order for us to be left somewhat satisfied, Luke and Lorelai have to get married. I hope we get another season of Gilmore Girls. You guys rock!

Looks like there’s not going to be an eight season. Very sad…Hopefully they can make the next 5 episodes a happy time for the die hard “Gilmore Girls” fans.

the shows has lost quality but I think it’s still fixable I’m not a writter or such a thing but I’ll love to see a finale just as energetic and clever as it was at the begining the sense that it had made it so precious I think that fans could press the network if we want so to maybe convince that they could convice the palladinos be back at the show to make the finale and to make it just as they had figured out maybe, this has been a great story kind of fantasy but very realistic many times so it think a show or a story like this needs to be finished as it deserves it’s just an amazing show that needs to reborn and needs to have a great ending just if everyone wants that at least on tv there will be still one good thing to see I say that it was amazing that the show could entertain by the way it did it didn’t have to employ sick violence to be fun just smart talks I think it has a great merit for that I just couldn’t believe a show like this could be born in american tv even with the other family shows that sometimes are very artificial at least this one even the fact of being a complete fantasy it was very realistic well my point is that maybe just fans could push the networks to save the show if they want of course and if somebody caress I think it deserves but the majority of people who knows

Yeah you’re right. The show lost quality but it’s still amazing! I mean yeah at season 1 there were scenes which are untouchable but I also like the Gilmore girls the way they are now and I love writing stories and stuff like that so I totally understand that they couldn’t hold this quality. I mean they were at the top already in season 1!
And I would also appreciate it if Amy would come back to write or co-operate the final! This show begins with Amy and it should end with her too! My way of thinking *gg*
Oh yeah, it’s soo realistic! I totally agree with you! I mean a woman that raises a child. All alone. Yeah okay the town is really crazy but I love all of them. Even Taylor *gg*
So I hope that the show goes on and on and on. I like them, no I love them so damn much and they’re so damn important to me! It’s not that I just watch them. Sounds crazy I know: but I live them. I got so many new friends all over the world just because of Lorelai and Lorelai!

There is such a following for this show! I believe that everyone feels the same passion for it and would like to see it continue. I personally can relate to this show on many levels and would see this as a true lose to not have such a great show on T.V.
I do not watch alot of T.V.; but, ask any of my friends and/or family and they’ll tell you where I am on Tuesday night.
To end this program this year would be a suicide to such a creative storyline. Enjoy the reaps of your work actors/actresses! Keep this great show going!

I personally think that if Alexis doesn’t want to come back they shouldn’t bring it back because then we don’t have one of the main characters and it just won’t work but I also think she has a point she has been with this show for 7 years (what makes it soooo good though)so idk… if they bring it back with her i will watch it pry not if they dont bring her back

I can see the show going on with Alexis making appearances. Look at it like Life. The show was primarily centered around Stars Hallow and all the quirkiness. As children grow up they leave home in search for their own and come back for say holidays or what have you. I see the show still being good with all the other characters. I unfortunately am not sure how Logan would fit into that whole aspect and I would really hate to see him gone…. I so love him.
The whole Luke/Lorelai, Lorelai/Christopher thing. I am a realist about it. I loved Luke and Lorelai flirting and getting together but I didn’t actually like them together. It just felt wrong somehow. I would have loved to see the Lorelai/Chris relationship develop better than it did because I feel like the characters were portrayed as soul mates, struggling to find the right time to be together. I love that they allowed Chris to mature and still be that in love with Lorelai. I love happy in love Chris. He truly feels that Lorelai is his soul mate. Sometimes your first love does last a lifetime. :)
I too would hate to see the show end on a not so happy note for either of the girls, I mean come on that would suck. To see them both struggle with so much for seven seasons and then let it end with neither of them ’settled.’ You know, getting their happily ever after.
I’d hate for the show to end with EVERYONE being alone. Lorelai, without Chris OR LUKE, Rory without Logan, I guess that would give the viewers the lasting impression of GILMORE GIRLS forever.

WOW!!! Okay, yes I love “Gilmore Girls” so much but I would have to agree on some things that some people have said. First of all, I could understand if the characters don’t sign on again because this season has been kind of boring. But people understand this straight, MILO IS NOT COMING BACK, so just dream on about that one. He is WAY too busy to come back even if he wanted to. I actually think it is funny how people can say that they could see the show going on without Alexis, that is not even right. If you say that you love “Gilmore Girls” then you should not say that you could see Alexis “making appearances” on the show. Let’s see here the MAIN characters include: Luke, Lorelai, Rory, Logan, Chris, Sookie, Mitchel, Emily, and Richard. So leaving out or not having one of these main characters in the show would ruin it. I do think that they should have an 8th season, but if certain characters are not going to be in it, then they should not have a new season. I love the show, it is amazing, but not having a main character would ruin it, and I am pretty sure that a lot of people could agree with me on that one. I do understand that you could look at the show like life, but the thing is, a show like this one is not based on life, it is pretty much a soap opera. None of the show is real, because no one talks like that in real life. Now a show like “The Hills” I could understand people saying something like “look at it like life” because it is real. I do love the show so much, and if there is not an 8th season then I will be very sad, unless the characters had a VERY good reason not to sign for the show. So, I know that there are probably people who do not like my opinion, but it is MY opinion, and you can argue with it if you want to. But I think that is all I have to say for now. Bye!!! :)

Ok. People……… They can not continue. One.. The show is way toooooooo booring. Two…. Then they will be tied with Charmed for longest running female lead show. And three…. NO ONE can out go Charmed. OK? They just can’t. It is already way too boring. They have already lost a significant amount of fans. If they keep going, they will lose more. Charmed, however could of kept going. Now I am not saying I hate the show, but it can not continue. PEOPLE get REAL!!!!!

omg i love the gilmore girls i get so into it even though i live in the UK i so want season 8 to happen if it doesnt it will be horrible also if it does finish it doesnt have a proper ending . saying that though i think the show made a huge mistrake in breaking up Lorelia and Luke as that is all bin wot we r waiting for so its like its gonna never be a happy ending and bringing chris is it again with basicaly the same out come it so sad i cant belive it theres really no point it even doing a 8th series unless both the gilmore girls r happy (luke & lorelia and rory and logan)

I love the Gilmore Girls I watch it all the time every tuesday and at 5:00pm . My Tuesday nights I won’t know what to do if Gimore Girls is not on. I own all the seasons and I can’t wait for the next season to come out so yes I would like to see it contiue.Its a favorite show of mine so please don’t stop making seasons I will be very sad. i think that all the correct actors/actresses should come back for an eighth season as it wouldn’t be the same and i personally think that the show would loose some viewers.
here is australia we haven’t seen the seventh season, and in fact they took the show off the usual night through season 3 or 4, but recently they have put season 5 on sunday afternoon…phewf!!! - haha even thought i do have all the complete seasons

i luv gilmore girls! i never really liked the show till my friend made me watch it. after the first show i watched i fell in lluv with the show. i have seasons 1-6! it would not be the same if one of the actors/actresses left. it has taken me 2 months to watch every season. and i think there should be a season 8 or even just a movie type thing to wrap eveything up(but an eighth season would be awsome)

Greetings from Australia! My friend Kerrie and I love the Gilmore Girls. Season 7 hasnt aired here yet so it was great to read the blurb on each episode on this website. As for Season 8, We both would support it.

i would deeply miss the Gilmore Girls.. but soon as i haven’t seen season 7 (being also located in Australia) i have no idea how it ends, so i don’t know if its a good or bad end.. or if we need a season 8!!
but i fully support it. without doubt. the show shouldn’t Ever End.!
does anyone know whetehre season 7 is going to be aired in Aus? or when it will be available on DVD??

You have to keep gg going. Its the only good thing on t.v now. The ending of season 7 wasnt a good enough ending to just stop there. Theres got to be a season 8.. Think of the fans we all love gg!!! Please sign on just one more season!! This is probably the most loved show on t.v you cant take it away from us now!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SIGN!!!!!!!

PLEASE KEEP GOING!!!!!me and my mom LOVE this show so much and the ending of season 7 wasn’t really an ending i mean they gave the “impression”….that luke and lorelia were together but i want 2 SEE them get married and logan should DEFINITLY be with rory!!!!!i mean COME ON!!! u can’t leave this story hanging on that kind of an ending!!!!!!!!PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HAVE A SEASON 8!!!!!!!!PLEASSSSSSSEEEEEE!!!!!U GUYS ROCK!!!!
