Keep voting to save Gilmore Girls

by Arieanna Schweber on April 6th, 2007

Kristin of E! Online put this out yesterday:

Update (Thurs., Apr. 5, 11:50 a.m.): I just checked the SOS voting after a couple of days and actually gasped! The top five remains the same, but the show that was in third-place as of Monday evening has barreled ahead and is now in first! If you’re devoted to one particular show, don’t give up yet, because even though the competition is fierce, it’s still anybody’s game! The voting booth closes tomorrow, Apr. 6 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

SAVE ONE SHOW IS HERE!

Thanks Maria! Tags: ,

I was still voting right when the polls closed and it showed the percent for each show and Gilmore Girls had 37 percent and Veronica Mars was in second with 34 percent or something.

Please keep this show on the air. It’s become a part of our lives. Why shouldn’t their story continue? It’s bound to be interesting. You’ve created a very satisfying, involving little world with interesting, complicated characters and made us all fall in love with it and them–have the guts and the interest to keep it going! We were kind of expecting Jess to make a reappearance soon, by the way, as he and Rory might have gjrown up enough to deal with each other. What about it?

I love gilmore girls. You can’t end a great show like this one. Plus, it doesn’t seem like the story is done being told.

Please keep gg going for an 8 season, need to see the luke and lorelai story line continue to grow, hopefully into marriage and family as in her dream ie: the twins. Also see how Rory turns out in her career as well and love life. Still more ideas out there to explore. So please please keep gg alive. a luke and lorelai supporter.

What a waste of s7… I keep watching even after the christopher fiasco and now the L&L story is beeing rushed without a proper ending… GG was the funniest and smartest show on T.V. Not everybody is into 7th Heaven and Pussycat Dolls!!!!Please give it another half a season to tie up all the stories of Star Hollow and of course L&L.

Please keep Gilmore Girls running for another season. I was unprepared for this. There was no “last season” warning. No “one season to curtain call.” I have been a supporter for seven years, and I have not complained about the horrible ways I have been made to wonder and worry. I cannot give up the agony of not knowing what will happen in the next episode. Please, allow me one more year of heavenly torture.

What a waste/loss of what was a potentially great season! Rory was supposed to follow the Obama campaign–how interesting and educational that could have been! Obviously it would have been difficulty to script it concurrently with actual events, but what a challenge! And so many interesting plotline possibilities … even now, even now, it might not be too late. Come on, Lauren and Alexis—an intelligent show that doesn’t pander to the lowest denominator and gives women the opportunity to expand themselves in believable and challenging ways–so much more interesting and open-ended than your recent Hollywood roles–let’s bring back this show and let it fly!
