Gilmore Girls Scoop from the April 18th edition of Ausiello - and good news - Season 8 looks good!!
Question: I’m excited to hear about the possible shortened eighth season of Gilmore Girls. Got anything new to report on that front?
Ausiello: At the show’s wrap party Sunday night, everyone and their sister was talking about the short order as if it was a done deal. The only sticking point appears to be the number of episodes. I’m hearing 13, but I imagine the CW is trying to stretch that to at least 16. An official announcement is imminent.Question: Can I ask you an honest question? Do you want Gilmore Girls to go on? Or do you think that they should end it this season?
Ausiello: I’m torn. On the one hand, I think Rory’s college graduation would be a perfect capper to these seven years. On the flip side, I’m not good with the goodbyes. Never have been, never will be. Now, if the show was in pitiful shape — along the lines of, say, the final season of Roseanne — maybe I’d be more eager to let it go. But I kinda sorta think our Girls have a little more life left in ‘em. It could also be that I’m just on a high from last night’s first-rate episode, which was easily the best of the season. Reminded me of the good ol’ days.

Ausiello: I know that the townsfolk throw Rory a massive graduation party since most of them couldn’t get tix to the real ceremony. I also know that the final scene features three characters and, per one source, "brings the show full circle."Question: Who won the poll between Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars?
Ausiello: After much seesawing leadership, Mars topped Girls 54 percent to 45 percent.Question: Please! For the sake of my sanity, not to mention my grades, in which episode will Luke and Lorelai finally reunite on Gilmore Girls?
Ausiello: I can confirm there’s a kiss coming up.

Maybe the 3rd character is Emily, the other Gilmore Girl, which, if her and Lorelei have come to a wonderful understanding would certainly bring it full circle.
I am hopeful after reading Mike’s answers and will champion what number of episodes they decide on into an 8th season - I’m not greedy.

Why does everybody want lorelai and luke together? Of all the guys she had I think he is the worst she could end up with. ALways thought she sould be with chris not only because they have such a beautiful story together but also because i think rory should have a much better relation with her father…
And also I can’t imagine a gilmore girl being happy with a dinner owner… I think she deserves so much better….
Sorry, but after all this years watching and growing uo with the show, I thing that’s the only conclusion I can came up with!

I can’t wait either. I was devastated when they broke up and have watch with such a let down all season. I keep waiting for L&L to reach out to each other. The kiss will heal a lot of wounds for me. GO WRITERS!!!!!

I am so sad that Rory is going to say NO to Logan’s proposal. Is it for real? Is it already finallized that she is going to say no. On last nights episode when Lorelai said all those things about Logan. Whatever happened to her saying “He’s almose ok! Im glad to see you doing so well with him!” in Id Rather Be In Philladelphia? Y does Rory have to be alone when the season ends? Is it because she is scared that the same thing will happen to her as it did to Lorelai with Luke (except for the kid part)?

There is some new stuff on crazy-internet-people. Some of it explains part of the latest AA.
Both of these tidbits are concerning the season (not series [I hope {is becoming closer and closer to being just the season finale!!!}]) finale-
“Lorelai cancels a week before the party because there is no time with all that has to be done to get Rory off to Iowa. The townies are bummed since they not only missed graduation but will miss Rory’s party too.”
(Then, of course, Luke jumps in and puts on the party himself.)
“Rory has one last meal at the diner, and the final scene of the S7 finale mirrors the final scene of the pilot.”
And for those who don’t remember the last scene in the pilot (oh so long ago), here-
“CUT TO STARS HOLLOW
[Lorelai and Rory walk toward Luke’s Diner]
RORY: So, nice dinner at the grandparents’ house.
LORELAI: Oh, yeah, her dishes have never been cleaner.

LUKE: That’s quite a refined palate you got there.
[Luke walks away]
LORELAI: Behold the healing powers of a bath. So, tell me about the guy.
RORY: You know what’s really special about our relationship? The total understanding about the need for one’s privacy. I mean, you really understand boundaries.
LORELAI: So tell me about the guy.
RORY: Mom!
LORELAI: Is he dreamy?
RORY: Oh, that’s so Nick at Night.
LORELAI: Well, I’m gonna find out anyway.
RORY: Really? How?
LORELAI: I’ll spy.
[Luke returns with their order]
LUKE: Coffee. . .fries. I can’t stand it. This is so unhealthy. Rory, please, put down that cup of coffee. You do not want to grow up to be like your mom.

[Rory and Lorelai smile at each other. Luke walks away.]

YAY!!! (and infinity more YAYs)!!!!!!! I’m soooo excited!!! I definitely think that 13-16 episodes could tie up the show!!! See, I’d be okay with the show ending this season if I didn’t feel like it had been wrapped up in 5 episodes!!! But, I’m glad that we can probably compramise on this!!! I thought last night’s episode was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! It was by far my favorite episode all season!! The LL interaction made me VERY happy!!! And I’m saving the best for last! LUKE AND LORELAI KISSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! all i have to say so i am pissed that they dragged out Rory’s and Logans relationship for 3 season and this is how it ends. logan deserved rory and rory desereved logan. what the heck!!! i hate this season. i believe this is the worst season in gilmore history andi want Amy-sherman back cuz she knew what she was doin here.

i really hope there is an eighth season.. i want to know what happens with Lor and luke….they just need to get back together..im really mad that rory and logan split they made that relationship last to long for that to happen.

I want to see the 7th season! I look forward to gilmore girls every year! I hope they go forward to an 8th! I love this show and i am a huge fan! ask my mom i have every season of gilmore girls! and let me tell i never will get sick of Gilmore girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!love your #1fan

I am dying without GG, is there any update to a season 8? LL have to get together for an ending…it’s just not right!
