Daisy Dukes campaign

by Arieanna on May 13th, 2007

There is still time to tell the execs at the CW, and the actors, that you want Gilmore Girls back.

Take part in the Daisy Dukes campaign on May 15th & 16th (before the upfronts).

"Operation: Daisy Duke" (the daisies and the show’s many Dukes of Hazzard references). Thanks to Rob for putting it together!

Buy a bouquet of yellow daisies and send them with a nice note to Dawn Ostroff:

Ms. Dawn Ostroff
President of Entertainment, The CW Television Network
4000 Warner Blvd., Bldg 168
Burbank, CA 91522-0002

If you can afford to send flowers, send them to Dawn, to Alexis and to Lauren. Encourage them to take on this crazy schedule for a few more months, to do justice to the show.

Lauren Graham
c/o John Carrabino Management
100 North Crescent Dr.
G-400
Beverly Hills, CA 90210

Alexis Bledel
c/o Flutie Entertainment
6500 Wilshire Blvd
Suite 2240
Los Angeles, CA 90048

We also want the advertisers on Gilmore Girls [word doc] to know that they need to pressure to keep the show going, for their own sakes.

I would love to have “Gilmore Girls” back for another season but if you have listened to any of the interviews, Lauren and Alexis don’t want to come back. They don’t believe there is anything more to do. I think that they have convinced themselves of this because they are just too tired to do another season. As an ardent fan, I believe they need another season or 1/2 season to finish the Luke Lorelai story arc but I’m realistic. If by miracle they did come back, I would be afraid they would do something foolish like let Emily be part owner of the Inn. (Kelly Bishop mentioned that as a possible storyline). That would be just be so wrong.
Anyway, my point is, sadly, no amount of letter writing will help.

i a like majorly smad anout this, but i think realistically, everyone has made up their mind and they aren’t coming back for another season. i would love nothing more if they did, but they don’t want to make another season and no amount of letters or flowers will be able to change that.

This campaign is moronic. Let it go, people.

Nice gesture, but I believe Scott Patterson when he said that there wasn’t any more passion for the show from key members.

    So long, farewell……….

i think that Alexis and Lauren are tired of gilmore girls. they just want to move on., but they dont they care about the fans too. also they should of thought about what the other actress and actors want as well. if they come back. i think it would be short. if i had some money i would try to give them flowers, but i am i dont. i really do want the gilmore girls back. also i want to point out that lauren and alexis and rest came into this show cause they wanted too. if they are so tired of it. then why didnt they quit in the first season? who knows what is in the minds of actress or actors

I can understand being tired, and if certain cast members don’t have the heart anymore, the show just won’t be the same. However, the fans are the reason they have been paid and in steady work for the past seven years. We deserve a proper SERIES finale, not a SEASON finale in disguise. Gilmore Girls is one of the best shows ever because it had class and yet was witty and entertaining. The show and the fans deserve a series finale that measures up. So, let it be the end, but do it right!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt the series finale was a let down! We were promised closure and it fell far short of that. I know, I know, the girls are tired. They have worked hard, yadda, yadda, yadda. We all work hard, just wait until they have kids!!! I have obviously entered the “anger” stage of my grief. Sorry. I still love the girls, I’m just so darn mad.
