This video, created by Gilmore Fan pays tribute to Gilmore Girls in a very bueatiful way.

I love the opening quote from Dr. Suess:

This is a great video!! And, for those who asked, the finale was watched by 4.857 million viewers, about. Every site says something different, but they are all around there.

Looks like they are replacing Gilmore with it’s complete opposite.

“The moms who watched Gilmore Girls with their daughters will be very sad when they see Gossip Girl. Small-town values, reading books and watching old movies have been replaced by a snarky blogger, privileged prep-school girls from the Upper East Side and barely a parental unit in sight. Gossip Girl, which airs Wednesday at 9 pm, is getting the best lead-in the CW has in America’s Next Top Model. Clearly the network thinks this one is the future. “

Yeah, Em, my friend told me like 3 days ago that their replacing it with Gossip Girl o.0 That really sucks. Its just a bunch of slutty preps. Ugghh. Gilmore Girls was the best show out there- nothings good anymore =/

Isn’t GilmoreFan the one who made the “Lorelei and Luke Love Story” video? the one that has been posted on more than one occasion on this site? If so, I really do love his/her work, it always makes me feel nostalgic and sentimental.

    em:

You’ve got to be kidding about this Gossip Girl catastrophe, I don’t get CW just Global here in Canada who happily brought us our beloved GG’s. Goes to show where we are headed in society and sadly it doesn’t look in a good direction.

You said it so well, yes indeed, GG’s was all about small town values reading books and old movies.
Speaking of which, I am up late tonight and watched Casablance and Treasure of the Sierra Madre! Now that was a time when things were classy! “Here’s lookin’ at you kid”. Oh how I will miss our Gilmore Girls can’t bear to imagine Tuesday’s without them.

    Blessings,
    Ann

I will truly truly miss this show. I know its time to retire its storyline but it’ll be ages before I get over it. Just watching the last few episodes would bring tears to my eyes. I watched it ever since its pilot. Watched the other version of the unaired pilot with a different Sookie (who becomes Drella the harpist) and Dean (good thing they switched in Jared for this dork). Watched it with my mom and sang the opening credits with her. Loved Emily Gilmore and her controlling manner. Hated Luke’s flannel shirt and attitude but loved the oversized coffee mugs at his diner, the hardware store. Annoyed by Lane and her drama with Mrs. Kim. Enjoyed Kirk’s odd jobs at Stars Hollow and his memorable film. Amused by Michel Gerard’s French accent and the funeral of his pet Chinchin with “My heart will go on” played by Zach. Riveted by the town meetings and how the people bullied Taylor but still having the last say for his vested interest. Got an earache from Paris’ rants and raving lunacy. Puzzled why Rory wanted to be with the dull, dull Logan. Laughed at Babette (plus her garden gnomes) and Morrie and weirded out by their cat Cinnamon’s wake. Wondering why the guys in Rory’s life seem to have a shot at a solo career and manage to have higher ratings than this show (think the O.C. >> Adam aka Lane’s Dave , One Tree Hill>> Chad aka Tristan, Heroes>> Milo aka Jess, and Supernatural >> Jared aka Dean). Hated Amy leaving the show this season. Found Sookie’s cooking-slash-accident-prone skills hilarious and her husband Jackson’s love for vegetables and fruits. Disappointed why Lorelai did not end up with Max Medina (but he’s a jerk, i know). Not happy with Rory’s recent set of very very shallow friends (blabbermouths Olivia and Lucy) but had fun with her set of high school (somewhat fair weather) friends (Louise & Madeline). Irritated by Luke’s newly found daughter April and how she lays everything on too thick. Made dizzy by how they seem to stroll into the town square but actually walking around in circles to get from one point to the next. Mislead by Richard & Emily’s conniving tactics to control the two Lorelais. Confused how the very rebellious Jess is related to the scatter brain Liz and her very strange new husband TJ. Fascinated by how they deliver their spitfire dialogues and find out they do it for several takes, around 35 and how I sometimes fail to watch the show in its entirety because I’m reading the closed captions at the bottom of the screen. Dreamed of how the series will have its ending, but right now I don’t think I’m ready to let go of my Gilmore Girls show but planning to recapture the magical moments while I do a marathon run from seasons 1 to 7. I won’t ever tire of having these characters as company, that’s for sure. So to everyone who made this possible and loved this show just as much as I do (not did), however down the wire the ratings may have been for the past few seasons and how many times they were ignored by the Emmy’s … Cheers to the best show on earth. Lest I forgot how my mom and I do air-guitar when the closing credits show up and a show where troubadours flock a town gazebo is truly amazing.

What a great video. Well done!! I wonder if any of the cast will see it. I think they would like it. I have no reason to turn on the CW again. It was always kind of leaning toward being a trash bin. GG was the only thing keeping it watchable and now it’s gone. So sad. GG will be sorely missed. The less than classy programing that the CW seems to be embracing my appeal to some, but I hardly think GG fans will be tuning in.

Lovely, really touching but I still have a question…Right in the last part (Gilmore Girls over the years) How dare you not throw Dean in there? Like he wasn’t important or anything… I really thinks he deserves at least to be glimpsed on the back, don’t you think?
