Lorelai’s Jeep at Auction
Lorelai Gilmore’s infamous Jeep from Gilmore Girls - the Jeep she basically remade in order to keep the precious memories - is up for auction on eBay. The starting bid for the Jeep is $35,000.
The 2000 Jeep Wrangler, customized for Gilmore Girls by David Laurell (to look ‘aged’), is up for private sale. David Laurell and a silent partner are selling this "iconic piece of television history associated with a show that will live on for time eternal as a milestone in American pop culture."
During the 7-year history of Gilmore Girls, only two Jeeps were used. The Jeep for sale was in the first episode and up to the last episode of GIlmore Girls.
The auction winner will also get: Certificate of Authenticity, photo album with photos of the Jeep in the Stars Hallow town square, at Lorelai’s house, and in other locations on the Warner Bros. lot, a tour of Warner Bros. Studios where Gilmore Girls was filmed, lunch in the studio’s dining room where many of the show’s cast members ate on a regular basis, and a Gilmore Girls goody bag with all sorts of great stuff pertaining to the show along with prop Connecticut licence plates and a Yale licence plate frame that were actually used on the show..

This really is the one thing from the show I wish I could have. I keep telling my bf that I want a jeep like that. The auction couldn’t have come at a worse time for me financially though. If only this was posted a year from now it could possibly be mine. How sad! The pictures of the set torn down have been making me miserable too. It’s like hope was ripped right out of me the moment I saw them. I’m really missing my Gilmore Girls. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the movie is going to happen but I don’t know if I could take any more bad news regarding Gilmore Girls. I really love that Jeep Wrangler!

I want the jeep as well,(SO COOL) but the bids start at $35,000 and i don’t have that kind of money and if i did i would spend it all on Dolce and Gabbana clothes and Jimmy Choo shoes!!!!!!!

Sure Girlmore Girls fans wouldn’t mind the price spent for this jeep. This jeep has lots of memories of it for seven years. The Jeep still looks good. Hope its Jeep Fan Clutchs is fine unlike mine. I also like the color of it…creamy!

There has been no word AFAICT regarding what happened to the auction and why it was taken down. The story right now is that it just disappeared.
