No happy anniversary…

If our Gilmore Girls world had worked out perfectly, Lorelai Gilmore and Luke Danes would have been married a year already.

Lorelai and Luke had a wedding date of June 3, 2006. Then, Lorelai broke up with Luke for reasons we all know, and that didn’t happen. Our Gilmore world was turned upside down.

And, so, yesterday was not their one year anniversary.

So sad.

Do you think, in your picture of the future for Luke & Lorelai after the show ended, that they would choose June 3rd again to be married?

it would have been cute, and sweet– but it would have been WAYYYY to soon. they needed to get there problems situated first before thinking about marriage.

While it seems an easy question, it really isn’t. I have always picture Lorelei as an extremely independent woman who ultimately didn’t need to be married. (Remember Luke saying he’d wait as long as it took, or something to that effect).

Therefore, it would be a complete surprise if Luke & Lorelei ever walked down the aisle on that date or any other in the near future. My feeling is that they would probably live together happily ever after, and continue to verbally spar with each other. Unless they decided to have a child and that might make a difference.

Well…Its an interesting questiion because like Pamela said its not an easy question. I think they would get married but not on that date. I think that cause luke and lorelai have waited way too long to get married they already have known eachother for a long time 10 years and it would be longer if the show continued. SO they would probably get married soon. Or not soo soon depending on thier situation….I mean Liz and Tj got married 2 weeks after geting engadged…For me i would make it they get married sooner rather than later and it would be sooner than june 3.

That sad Lorelai and Luke get married on June 3rd.I hate Lorelai sleep with Chris on Season 7.I wish they should get married in Elope on June 3rd.

It wouldn’t be June 3rd. Too many bad things happened on that date. Rory’d court date and the supposed-to-be wedding. It just wasn’t their date.

They need something better.

June 3rd was too soon for Luke and Lorelai to get married but am really glad they got back together and i think if the show came back for a season 8 the last episode would have been the wedding! I wish the series ended with more Luke and Lorelai information, they left too much up to the auidance!

Haha -I was just thinking about June 3rd also being Rory’s cort date funny!

To me it’s never going to be the supposed date of their wedding it is mine and my sister and my brother’s birthday. YEAH I’m 13.

Also quickness is a bad thing. My friends mom is getting re-married after only being engaged for 4 months. But for them June 3rd is a jinx.

I think another date, because in the show June 3rd became a bad memorie Lorelai cancel everything and she always seemed sad and quiet. When Luke discover April how did Lorelai react??!She forgive me for not tell her…and when in the Emily and Richard wedding Chris said that things Luke stayed upset for a very long time. I think when they broke up in the ending of season 6 she had all the reason to say that she always all fine when she was sad, she never said anything and she never participate in Luke’s life. But they should get things right, and talk with each other.But know that is in the past.
I think June 25rd was the best day, is my birthday :D! lol

I wish we saw Luke and Lorelai get married and have a baby before the show ended. Definitely not on June 3rd though! Not even close to June 3rd. And their wedding should definitely not be the last episode if there was a Season 8. That was something Lauren Graham definitely did not want! A new baby for them could have been the final episode - another Gilmore girl.

EVERYONE! ASP didn’t get to and it her way!!!! She wants to do a two hour tv movie in a year or to, kind of like a reunion show so she can end it the way she wanted to! And I agree this season was just not the same, and the only reason is that ASP wasn’t writing for it AT ALL!!!!!

Yesterday i realized that that was the day that Luke and Lorelai was supose to get married a year ago. I really see Lorelai with no other person but Luke.Maybe they could get married on that daqte but Lorelai had already lost the dipossets to the church and everything. so i really don’t think they would get married on that same date.

ya i was also dreading june 3rd …it was a bad day for me especially when we didnt get our luke and lorelai wedding that we waited for for seven YEARS and on sunday i was like ewwwwwww today is june 3rd and i was sad and all day… i watched all of my dvd’s with luke and lorelai scenes and had a cry that the show is over and that WE GOT CHEATED OUT OF A WEDDING but maybe if they come out with a movie, it will be their wedding day…… thats what im guessing and i dont know why they picked that date in the first place because rory had to go to court that day and like everyone says, its cursed =(

I suppose June 3 won’t be their day. It’s cursed for Luke and Lorelai for sure. I think they should have just did what Liz and Tj did, get married two or three weeks later and then have a wedding. I hope Amy does the movie because she wanted those four words to end the show with and it didn’t happen. If she wants those four words to end the show then she will do the movie. Hopefully the movie will include a wedding. That will be great. Well, June 3 isn’t that bad because it’s my sister-in law’s birthday.

By the way… a little off topic but Tiffany J mentioned them and it got me thinking… what ever happened to T.J??? He was always so funny and goofy. He wasn’t even at the Bon Voyage party. =( I miss that guy. He and Liz were perfect together.

i answered befor…but i was thinking again….I read Manu_gg ’s comment and its true…rory and sookie should be bridesmades….They will be under the chuppah and its going to be perfect. I think that lukes best man would probably be jess…IT doesnt really matter what day they get married as long as they are happy…TOO BAD WE DIDNT GET TO SEE IT HAPPEN….i hope its in that movie ASP might make.

i already miss your show because i want lorelai to be happy with luke well here is tink / i really miss luke and lorelai and i want to see them kiss more and marry each other.!!!!
