Lauren Graham on Gilmore Girls Movie
Lauren Graham is getting bombarded on all sides about the possibility of a Gilmore Girls movie - something we’d all desperately love to see. Here is what Lauren recently said to E Online:
Any chance of a Gilmore Girls reunion? I want to know how Amy Sherman-Palladino would have ended it! What was the final line?
I got to ask that very question of Lauren Graham herself, who tells me: "People keep asking me about it, and I haven’t spoken to anyone who could actually make it happen. I do wish [Amy S.-P.] had gotten to be a part of the end, because the show was so much Amy’s vision from the beginning, but there were a number of reasons that wasn’t the way it was. But would those four final words have made a difference? I’m not sure. I think we were at a good place to end, and I think it was a natural ending." Lauren also sent out a message to you fans (including you who are still flooding my inbox with "Save Gilmore Girls" messages): "I have been very moved by the response from people in just their kindness about the show and sadness about it ending. I really have appreciated that." Sniffle.
It was a natural ending. I won’t say it was a "good" ending, and definitely can say that it was not the ending that Amy Sherman-Palladino wanted for Gilmore Girls. And I think that’s the point. It ended, but it does not jive. It’s not the right way. I hope that everyone in time realizes this.
I am sure that right now, things are very tumultuous. Lauren and Alexis both feel some freedom. I think it will take time before they can really reflect without any biased emotions.

I think it was time for Gilmore Girls to end, however I really didn’t like the series finale episode was good it left you hanging, yes it was a “natural ending” but not a very good one!!( in my opion) I really hope we get a TV movie to tie up the loose ends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like there needs to be a movie purely because i feel its was too akward….Sorry but, i am a full fledged Rory And Logan fan…and they should have been together…they had so many great moment, tough times, and until the end a great relationship, how does it all in in a one hour finale without any warning…its completely wrong…Also with Luke and Lorelei, they also didnt give any warning sorta just plopped it in so fans wouldnt feel cheated but alot of us did they need a movie to tie it together give closure to us who know it had to end but not like that!!!

there are so many storys they could tell. I think the movie idea is not so good and even a 8th season to end the show is not good. Amy should make all her seasons she always had planned. GG deserves more than 11 seasons, thats for sure! PLEASE AMY MORE SEASONS!!! MANY MORE!!!

Heyy Lauren!!
whats up? I LOVE Gilmore Girls and i miss it soo muchh!! i like used to revolve my ENTIRE schedule around watching a new Gilmore Girls every tuesday night!!! And i own all of the seasons on DVD!!! I was mad at the way they left off!!! I even started acting, hoping i would be able to meet you and Alexis!!! I want to say i’m your biggest fan, but i dont wannt to come out like a physco freak!! so im just gonna say im a HUGE fann and i misss the show alot and i would love either a movie.. or better yet… more series!!!!
i also heard that the only reason Gilmore Girls ended is because Alexis Bledel got an offer for another show or movie and she did that instead.. well if you could get back at me that would be Great!!! =)

A Gilmore Girls movie would absolutely put me through the roof! I have a possible unhealthy addiction to this show and I wasn’t thrilled with the ending. I’d love a ‘where are they now’ type of deal. I’m all for the idea of a movie…someone make it happen!

GILMORE GIRLS SHOULD NOT BE OVER it was a greatshow, but even though i know it has to be over, i still think it should have definately ended better, how do we even know if luke and lorelie ae going to stay together there should havebeen another season and if not at least another episode, and what was with the sudden end of the rory logan thing, i wasnt the biggest logan fan anyways but that was tooo quick. I want toKNOW THE LAST FOUR WORDS… this show helped me want to be like rory, i want to go to college i want a better ending

I think there should be another season. I think that Rory and Logan are meant to be together they had real chemistry They should be together in real life. I think it stinks how the series ended. They should have tied up all the loose ends. I think that if there is not going to be another season there should at least be a movie that would clear up the loose ends and not leave everyone hanging, another season is always an option 7th heaven did it after there series finally Hope its on again soon.

I think that GG was one of the most well written shows on TV and cannot believe the way the network is letting this show go out. I have been an avid fan from the beginning and feel very much like Rory was my child watching her grow up over the years. There has to be some closure and a movie would be the perfect way to wrap up the show or at least a 2hr special on CW to wrap it up. Haven’t the people ever heard of closure and we all need it.

I think the GG was one of the funniest and well written shows I have ever seen. I am sad that it ended and a GG movie would be awesome but only with the whole cast so I hope everyone decides to do it.

While I agree that Gilmore Girls was a “natural ending”, I do think that fans, as well asLauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, deserve more. Seven years is a long time to stick with something. They worked incredibly hard; that much is obvious considering Gilmore Girls is still adored. A lot of people followed the show from beginning to end, and were somewhat disappointed by the series finale. I just think everyone deserved to have a proper goodbye for such an amazing show.

I only started watching GG in November of 2006…and just fell in love with the show. i’m watching ABCFAM in order to catch up! I’m a young mom too (not as young as Lorelai…became at mom at 22) but I would love to have a relationship with my daughter like she did. I think that the finale was good, but it wasn’t great, I hope they do do the movie..I think a season 8 is out of the question because all the actors have moved on. I would like to see the ends tied up better and I would like to really see Luke and Lorelai married and in the place where they have that element of true happiness and togetherness, seeing that the deal with Rory and April’s problems would be more settled. I do think that the actors work very hard and they did for 7 years but I think even if some were not 100% on board they should do it for the fans of GG. a mutual thank you for 7 years of support and great episodes

Well, I don’t know the end yet, because I live in Austria, you know, the little country next to germany =) But I’ve read a lot how it should end etc. and the end I’ve read, is not the way how it should end….
I would enjoy seeing a Gilmore Girls Movie…
and I hope you are able to understand me although my English is not perfect but I am 15 =) and I usually speak german =)
Yeah… I think and I hope that any time a movie will happen….

Emmy snubs aside, GGs was the best writing on television. In a world of reality tv it was so refreshing. I miss it very much. A tv movie would be great. I hated the ending. I’d like to see all those loose ends tied up as well as see Rory leave the Obama campaign for the Hillary campaign. After all - she is a big fan of hers.

I AGREE WITH LAUREN COMPLTLY THE ENDING ISNT THAT GOOD. IT WAS NEUTRAL BUT MOST DEF. NOT THE RIGHT WAY.
everyone knows that rory and logan were meant to br together. i loved jess but think about how many times did he mess up leaving and not sa8ing good by then coming bak and expecting everything to be okay.. like he could just pop in and out of rory life. LOGAN AND RORY ALL THE WAY AND LORALIE AND LUKE ALL THE WAY.
the perfedt ending would be rory and logan getting married.and mayb ehaving a baby and loralie and luke geting married and haveing kids of their own

Hey, i soooooooo wish that there is going to be a movie or a follow-up season. Rory and Logan belong together and they should not have broken up. I would like to see them back together if there was a movie or new season. I miss Gilmore Girls soooo much and fully support Amy S-P bringing out a movie as long as Rory and Logan are together!!!!

Please make a Gilmore Girls Movie! Bring a different ending to this. I have never been so addicted to a show in my life. I made special days for your show, not to work, bought all the seasons, and watched them over and over again. I have not bought the 7th season though, it was very depressing. Please bring a conclusion, that your fans have waited for. We have waited 7 years and it ended sadly!

Gilmore Girls was one of the BEST shows ever! My husband gets mad at me everday because I watch the reruns on ABC Family everyday. I really think the show ended badly, I personally think they could’ve ended a great show like GG better than they did. They left us hanging, like there should have been a next season. I think a follow-up movie would be a great idea to tie up all the loose ends the network left us with.

I agree there should absolutely be a movie. And the sooner the better! The longer they wait, the more danger there is of it being a cheesy reunion type deal. If they make it soon, it will be more like a proper finale.
I hope they will all consider it. They may regret it if they don’t, especially with the passage of time, when they have had time to reflect and realize what a special show they were a part of. I know they know already, but you know what they say about absence making the heart grow fonder.

I heard that if there is a movie it will be out either the end of 2008 or the begining of 2009. I want there to be a season 8 or a movie with everything that could happen in a season 8.

I love Logan and Rory. Please reunite them in the movie. They are both Yale smart. Masters of humor and witisism. Compatibility and Friendship. They are so caring with one another. They forgive each other their flaws and love what is good. They support each other in the good times and bad. It was not believable that Logan who was such a free spirit, up for anything who gave Rory the Twilight episode love rocket. Would then give her an ultimatum of all or nothing at her graduation. They are so in love and that was just wrong. I hated it. BUT with the movie they can make it right. They will be all grows up… More beautiful, their eyes, those smiles, More worldly and successful and ready to merge there lives in marriage and adventure. Love and marriage does not have to mean the end of you and your individual, intelligent self, it should mean that you have your best friend and partner to share it all with. She should certify mail the rocket back to Logan and tell him it feels like the twilight zone episode since they have been apart and she loves him and wants him. still… PLEASE REUNITE THESE TWO, LOGAN AND RORY! I LOVE THEM.

Audi,
I totally agree with you, Rory and Logan were perfect for each other in soo many ways. I believe that Amy had a purpose of keeping Logan on the show and showing how much he grew and developed into an adult and they did that together. So why waste your time for three seasons showing his growth as a person and love for Rory and then in one episode have him walk away. And for people who think it was right because Rory was so career focused seem to be implying that you have to choose, like you have to have love or a career. Well it was obvious in that Logan wasn’t going to hold Rory back, he thought she was a great writer and he always supported her. Lorelei wanted Rory to be different than her and have things she didnt have, and dumping Logan seemed like a real Lorelei move. If they dont reunite Logan and Rory then they dont need to do a movie!
