Gilmore Girls Season 7 DVD info
It looks like we’ll see Gilmore Girls Season 7 on DVD sometime between September and December (last quarter).
In addition to the DVD itself, a box set of all 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls will be released.
Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series will sell for $258.82 - it carries all seven seasons of the show in a collectible retro doll case. It features a 60-page booklet, among other items.
Warner has been increasing their prices on box sets. Couple that with lower production prices for DVDs, they are making more money than ever. But do remember, none of the actors get paid for DVD sales.
Exact release dates are not available yet.

Well, I know that I’ll be in line for both the Season 7 and the boxed set. I always said that if they release a boxed set, I’ll get it and keep it as a collectible, yet never open it.
I was actually considering not buying Season 7, because… well, it sucked, but I think I want a complete collection.

Oh man, I have just got season 2, 3, 4, and 5 here in Spain but would really loved to have waited for the boxed set.

I used to live in Spain Kate and I understand how you feel about wishing that you would have waited for the box set. Well I just clicked the link that Catherine posted and the box set doesn’t look like the seperate season boxes that you, me, and almost every Gilmore Fan has bought and while I was living in Spain I bought Seasons 1,2,3,4, and 5 on dvd and when I moved back to the U.S. last year, I bought Season 6 when it came out.
And Well Here are is My Pro Con list about the Box Set:
Pros:
It’s not just the individual season dvd box sets in a glass case that has Gilmore Girls The Complete Series frosted on the case.
It is looks totally different from the other sets.
It might have more special features than the other sets.
Cons:
don’t know cause it’s not out yet lol ^_^
Well that’s all I can think of for my Pro Con list so far.
But as far as the Series box set and the Season 7 dvd set are concerned I am planning on buying the Season 7 set on November 13th and then buying or putting the Series set on my Christmas Wishless ^_^ LOL I will probably be buying the Series set with my Christmas money rather than recieving it as a gift because people already know that I have the Dvds LOL hopefully they won’t be sold out!

Did you guys see the coverart for season 7 and the complete series? Awful. The season 7 box had the picture I had suspected which isn’t bad, but the color looks identical to the season 5 pink box set. And the complete series looks awful. It just doesn’t scream GG.

I live in Brazil, and so far they just released until season five. But i’m gonna buy just until season six, cause season seven wasn’t GG….it was a crapy show! The real GG is the one from Amy and Dan.
But however, if here in Brazil they released season seven with booklet and other stuff i’m gonna buy it. I’m not gonna watch it, but i’ll buy it only for the “gifts”.
…God i miss my GG!….My REAL GG!

Will pass on the boxed set…seems like a sales gimmick. Plus, it’s doubtful the CW or WB will do this collection justice. The companies seem to excel in half-assed effort in creating the later DVDs. The first five seasons seem fairly well done. S6 is alright, buth there is no reference booklet. Will purchase S7 because the storylines remain of interest, but am not holding my breath for much thought being put behind the DVDs themselves.

I think part of the reason that I am planning on getting season 7 on Nov. 13th and the box set sometime during Christmas time regardless if it is a Birthday (My B-day is on the 17th ^_^), or Christmas Gift is also because of the “gift/goodies” ’cause, it is nothing close to the original box sets (but does come with all 153 episodes) a new Complete Guide to Gilmore-isms, a whole episode guide which is full of (hopefully new) pictures ^_^

mike, i agree.
the comlete series box set doesnt really suit the show i think. its too flowerly and hippy and young. :( i wish it was similar design as the other seasons.

I just want to be able to see season 7. Im absolutely bonkers about the show, its the greatest thing known to man kind, but in australia, they dont have any sign of showing season 7 on tv, i really want the dvds! might get the box set mainly cause i moronic enough to lend s1 to a mate and the first 2 discs are COMPLETELY ruined. im soooo annoyed… grrr

I’m from Australia also, I knew they would bring out a boxed set of all the seasons!!! I have seasons 1-6 on dvd, I can’t wait for season 7. I just might have to buy the boxed set also when it comes out. I have the Charmed BOS set seasons 1-8.I am a dvd junkie lol

i REALLY want the box set!! but i still think ill have to wait a while to get it, maybe until my season by season dvds are scratched a bit, or the boxes look old and worn out. then ill spring for the whole box set. but for now i am just soooo excited to get the season 7 dvd :D:D been waiting soooo long!!! hurry up november 13th and come already!! =]

I bought all six seasons, and I watched season seven re-runs. I can’t wait for it to come out, I will watch it all over agin. It sucks that the cast do not get royalties from the DVD’s. I hope they bring them back together sometime.

yeah i’m from australia too and i’ve just finished watching seasons 1 through to 6 and i’m just hanging to watch season 7 but there is no sign of it coming out any time soon :*( it’s really upsetting
