Lauren Graham Had An Emotional Meeting
On the set of Lauren Graham’s latest film, Flash of Genius, Lauren met with the family of the actual person upon which the film was based. According to an article in the Canadian Press, she began to cry because she was so moved by the meeting. Here’s an excerpt from the article:
Actor Lauren Graham burst into tears on the set of her new film “Flash of Genius” recently when she received a visit from the family of the late Robert Kearns, whose life is the focus of the biopic.
“I was bawling,” Graham, best known for her role as Lorelai on “Gilmore Girls,” confessed in an on-set interview this week in Toronto, where filming of “Flash of Genius” is due to wrap up on Saturday. “I was verklempt.”
The film, directed Marc Abraham, profiles Kearns’s lengthy court battles against Detroit automakers to prove that he was the inventor of the intermittent windshield wiper - battles he eventually won after much heartache and legal bills.
Academy Award-nominated actor Greg Kinnear plays Kearns while Graham plays his ex-wife Phyllis with whom he had six children.
Phyllis Kearns, who is now in her 70s, was married to Kearns for 29 years but was troubled for much of the time over his obsession with the trials that at one point drove him into a mental hospital.
Lauren must be a truly lovely person to feel so moved by meeting this man’s family. I think hearing about this makes me like her even more. What do you think?

Its just so cute that she was crying. i wish i was there to witness the tears. (not in a mean way of couse). Its just a side of lauren we haven’t seen yet.

Lauren is sweet….but I wish she wouldn’t go with sad movies. She is like Wonder Woman to me or Lucille Ball…..it should be happy moments she acts out.
It’s just me, but we have soooo many people going to act dark moments. I wish LG would recognize that we need uplifting or funny moments in our lives. It’s why we watch movies and TV. Sadness is with us every day………we need magic!!
It’s why I’m hoping her new show on TV will be whimsical and funny. Enough of sadness, stress, pain and whatever Hollywood wants us to see.
Lauren is a bright light……I hope she knows this and brings this to us again so we can laugh and be silly. ;)

I think Lauren has been showing both happy, silly and extremely sad emotions during the seasons of “Gilmore Girls”. She has this very expressive (and beautiful) face, and “Lorelai” is so enthusiastic and caring about other people that the actress playing this part had (has?) to be a little “lorelaish” herself to play well (which she did!).
At least that’s my belief.
Therefore I am not surprised of Lauren being an emotional creature outside the screen. I think that all of us who adore Lauren/Lorelai are able to feel her through the screen. We share Lorelai’s emotions which I believe is due to Lauren’s personality.
I’d like to see Lauren being the exact same type in her new show (and in movies) as she is on “Gilmore Girls”! I wonder if that is possible..?

She is an amazing person! I love her no matter what she did/does. But this just shows how caring she is!
Theres no way i could like her anymore im at my max with liking hertheres no more room! I just love her so much!

OMG, Lauren is so sweet! She is so awesome, and I agree with Adrienne and Shayna, I would like to see her cry but not in a mean way. She’s such a great actress! I can’t wait for her new show.

she is a good human being as far as i can see so far only LAUREN GRAHAM KNOWS how she copes or wrestles with her inner being we are all on this earth but a brief minute so all of you please make healthy and good choices and you will go far just like lauren thank you.
