On Why Jezebel James is Shorter…
Ausiello of TVGuide hypothesizes why Jezebel James seems to be on thin ice - and it has nothing to do with Amy Sherman-Palladino and everything to do with the casting of Parker Posey. Which is a disappointment, to see a show stumble over casting, you know?

Ausiello: OK, let me preface this answer by reminding you that I am a huge Parker Posey fan. I find her flavor of quirk 100 percent dee-lish and know very well that her mere presence can make a tedious project tolerable (see Superman Returns). Having said that, all indications are that she and a full-time TV gig have not exactly been the snuggest fit. And I’ll just leave it at that.
And in related news, it looks like the Gossip Girls folks finally figured out they were a leeettle too much like Gilmore Girls:

Ausiello: Sadly, it appears my casting powers have failed me this time. Despite my best efforts, sources tell me that Gossip producers feel the character of Serena’s grandmother already bears too much of a resemblance to Emily Gilmore; as a result, they’ll likely go with another actress. Damn reverse typecasting!

I don’t get it. Is he saying that Parker Posey is difficult person to work with in the long run?

Would love to see Kelly Bishop on the small screen again. She is good at her craft.
As for Parker Posey…she has to grow on you.
