Melissa McCarthy has a great character on Samantha Who. The forgotten friend from elementary school who saw her friend become hugely popular while she… went the other way. Her character, Dena, hears of Sam’s accident and goes to visit her in the hospital. Her family, so pleased that Sam has a friend, encourages her to adopt the falacy of being one of Sam’s best friends. Of course, Sam later finds out, but she is just so adorable and fun. I love the crazy quirk her character has. Like a Sookie quirkiness, but different.
It’s cute how many ways they try to disguise that Melissa McCarthy is still pregnant in this episode. Shooting from her chest up, holding her coat, blocking her view.
I thought it was a pretty good show, but not my favorite of the Fall. It was funny, but not overly funny, and it’s drama was a bit superficial. It did, however, rock the ratings and shows no signs of going anywhere. I look forward to seeing it evolve!
What did you think about the episode? I liked that there were better quirks than we saw in the trailer - like the Mom trying to get on a design show.

Do we know what Melissa had? What did she name her baby? I don’t remember there being any info as it happened.

It was kinda funny and Melissa make me laugh as like same with she was in GG.I kinda like it,but I not fan of this show and not fan of Melissa too.

I thought ‘Samantha Who’ was noxious. With the contriived plot of a’mnesia’ borrowed from the overly bashed day time soaps. “Samantha Who” has all the ingrediants of ’stereotypical day time TV. The cutesy lead, her gal pals, and the token fat giirl. I watched it because ABC was the only station coming in clearly on my TV, bt then turned down the volume because the silly dialogue irritated me, and went on the internet.
Writers can stay on strike if this is what they are so proud of creating.
