Ah, I just watched this episode. And I loved it. This has to be one of the best comedies out there. There were so many times that I just couldn’t stop laughing that I had to pause it for a minute or two just to recover.
I’m surprised that Melissa’s character, Dena, is so much like Sookie, though I can honestly admit that I don’t think I could picture her with any other personality now seeing her play both these roles.
I simply loved the fact that she had stalked a guy. And then when she broke into his car, just to tell him she was no long going to stalk him and that she “had changed” was hilarious.
I loved how just hearing the song made her breakdown, both in the car and the ice cream shop. I don’t know if that could possibly happen or not, I’m no med-student, but I hope we get to see more scenes like this in the future. Applegate’s a great actress.
And lastly, the shotgun. The episode began with Sam getting into Dena’s car with a shotgun and all I could think was, “Dear God.” From the first minute you could tell that this was going to yet another amusing episode. The Sam in jail scene was just priceless.
Let’s just hope that this show doesn’t turn into a Gilmore Girls- going from a great “dramady” to total sucky drama in the last few seasons. This show is most definitely worth the watch.
