Gilmore Girls Episode Recap:
Rory helps Lorelai purge her old clothes for the rummage sale. Pack rat. Rory is sorting all the town’s donations in the livingroom. Sookie comes in with 4 tickets to The Bangles.
Tristan is staring at Rory so much that the teacher notices and asks him what is fascinating him. Even after that, his eyes immediately roam back to Rory. Caught staring again, the teacher asks if the debate is ‘more fun than staring at Miss Gilmore’s ear?’
The teacher assigns Paris, Rory, Madeline and Louise to a debate team together. With no other options, they agree to meet at Rory’s house the next day. Tristan comes to flirt with Paris - an attempt to make Rory jealous.

Lane asks her mom to go to a "play" - but their story was not detailed enough about what the ‘play’ was about. No answer yet.
Rory spots the Rummage Sale sign in Luke’s window - for a guy who never gets involved in town activities, that’s a big step. But Lorelai asked, so he did it. Lorelai comes in wearing stuff she’s hoarded from the sale. Luke flips out seeing her in the sweater - tells her to take it off. Then storms off.

Miss Patty drops off a drum set for the sale. Lane gets a ‘no’ on the concert after telling the truth. Miss Patty recognizes the sweater as belonging to Luke’s very serious ex-girlfriend, Rachel. She broke his heart.
Paris, Madeline and Louise arrive - Paris gets annoyed with the small talk, especially when it moves to Rory’s 1-month relationship with Dean. Madeline and Louise seem like nice girls, and Rory is somewhat relaxed by that.
Lorelai pulls the Rachel story from Sookie. Rachel was very adventurous - the jumping from planes adventurous - and Stars Hollow was too small for her. The town thought they would marry, but Luke is not one to leave Stars Hollow. Lorelai looks at the sweater with a sigh.
It impresses Madeline and Louise that Rory does stuff with her mom - that they are best friends. It comes out about Lorelai having Rory at 16. All four of them being 16, it makes them reflect. But they don’t judge - and they really love Lorelai.
Lorelai tells Rory there is ‘friend potential’ going on with the comfortable chatting. Lorelai suggests the 4 girls take the Bangles tickets instead - to continue the bonding thing. Lorelai and Sookie can just buy others. The girls all agree to go - Paris with some convincing not to do her homework.

Lorelai and Sookie laugh at their nosebleed-section view. Rory and Paris enjoy the concert - Madeline and Louise enjoy the college boys in the row behind them. Paris actually loosens up a lot.
Lorelai digs into the Rachel question again. Asks if she was pretty. Sookie says she was ‘Elle McPherson’ pretty. Sookie sees the jealousy and asks if she pictured Luke with a ‘Lorelai Gilmore’ kind of pretty instead.

Madeline and Louise ditch the concert to go to a party with the boys. But Paris stays. And tells Rory how much she likes the band. Rory asks Paris what she sees in Tristan. Rory says Paris could do better - and Paris admits she knows Tristan is flirting with her to get to Rory. But she’ll take that.
Lorelai knocks on doors in the building searching for Madeline and Louise. Lorelai puts on parent mode and drags them out. She yells at them for being stupid. And is planning a fun talk with their parents. Paris stays to say to Rory:
"You know what? I think this is the best night I’ve ever had."
Rummage sale. Lorelai apologizes to Rory - she thinks Rory will not have an easy time at school after the fiasco at the concert. Rory is happy, though, because Paris extended her friendship by letting Rory split the debate time.
Lorelai apologizes to Luke about the sweater. Luke tells him to keep the sweater - to not forget. He assures Lorelai he’s not pining.

Lorelai wants Luke to have the sweater back because that is a memory that he shared with Rachel. I think Lorelai is a bit jelous of Rachel and Luke together. I dont think it is like she is angry and upset and going psycho over. She feels the same way Luke feels when he saw her with other guys like max or christopher. She feels like she should try to “be with Luke”….
she likes him and he likes her but they hesistate to take the next step because they dont want to ruin their friendship..
LUKE AND LORELAI BELONG TOGETHER!

There was no Gilmore Girls today on ABC Family. =(. Does anybody know why? Was it on at a different time? Sad.

I think this is the first time Lorelai gets some backstory on Luke before she knew him… she finds out that he hasnt always been some loner freak and has actually been in a serious relationship.
I dont think she’s jealous of Rachel, I think she’s just curious about her friend’s past…

That Tristan-staring-Rory scene is one for the books. I think this is one of the best part where Tristan is subconsciously showing off her hidden adoration for Rory. Too cute too handle…

2.Cuz Lorelai dont want Lane broke Mrs.Kim’s rules,but ask her mom for can go to concert frist and if Mrs.Kim will get angry,when she lied to her.
3.Lorelai want know what happen or what going with Luke and Rachel,when Sookie tell her that.
4.Cuz Lorelai just feeling for Luke,but she just want know about who she is.Lorelai little jealous.
5.Cuz they are afraid tell each other,when they start like each other for their relationship,but they dont want ruin their friendship frist.

That Trory scenes are soo eye-candy here though its short and loving anything & everything about her Chilton days…
So yes! If ASP is thinking about GG movie, she should really bring Tristan back alongside w/ Madeline, Louise, Brad, Henry plus of course Paris… like having a Chilton High School reunion huh!

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EVERYONE WHO MISSES STARS HOLLOW READ THIS!!i was just watchin tv tonight and i see this car commercial on and then all of a sudden i notice that they are in star hollow!!seriously the commercial took place in stars hollow i saw the square the chruch lukes sookies house the twickam house everything!!it was amazing and i hope everyone gets to see it too :)))))

I think we all have so many different ideas what we want to see and that’s why we need more seasons! With a movie or a season 8 we can never show all the fans want to see. If it happens then some fans always will be dissaponted because they didn’t show what they wanted. We must have more seasons because with a movie or season 8 as an end the show will change a lot and in my opinion that’s not Gilmore Girls then. - that’s the new show then:”Gilmore Girls and Boys” Look at season 1 - only about mother and daughter and that’s Gilmore Girls! The show will loose a lot fans with an end (movie/season 8) well me they will loose as a fan. For me was season 1-6 totally GG power! GG deserves at least 11 seasons…

Lorelai is jealous of Rachel. And, she is curious to know who and what Rachel is like. But, at the same time, she does not want to jeopardize their friendship. She likes to think, she knows anything and everything about her friends. Because, she prides herself and values good friendship. And, she is hurt, when she does not know or things are kept from her. She wants Luke to have the sweater back, because she is sentimental and knowing Luke had feelings for Rachel, it could only soften his rough exterior.
And, it is something, she can do, to show him, she did not want to hurt him by wearing the sweatshirt. When she gives the shirt back to him, you can see him soften for a brief moment.
I like when Lorelai has to rescue the Chilton girls from the apartment. You can see her kick into protective Mother mode and don’t mess with me.
Which I always liked about her character. That wonder woman attitude….
