    I’m Lorelai:
I’m crazy and like to wear crazy outfits. I’m always saying weird things (like “oy with the poodles already”) and am an absolute junk food addict. however, i’m also strong like she is and just feel like when i watch her on the show, i’m watching myself.

I think I’m most like Lorelai…funny, sarcastic, good with words that play on each other. I’m also like her because I am that same kind of I’ll get things done myself kind of attitude.

  • Pamela

Now that I think of it, I am probably more like Sookie because she is fun, creative, instinctive, a good friend and has her own unique style when it comes to clothes.

I mostly like Lorelai.Cuz she is so funny, good joke, play, kind of attitude and different outfit.I alway go get hot chocolate like what Lorelai does with coffee.I want like be her, when I watch her on the show.

I would have to say I am like Lorelai. As like her I love to wear comfy clothes and crazy clothes. It all depends on my day on what I will wear. I am a complete junkie! I tend to be sarcastic like her…always making jokes or saying werid sayings! Yet I am always there for others when they need something…just like she is for everyone no matter if she likes them or not.

  • Agie

I’m mostly like Lorelai. Our personalities are pretty close to being identical. I’m and sarcastic a lot of the day, and a lot of the time it gets me into trouble kinda like Lorelai’s does. I keep up on my references, and i catch myself using the same ones she uses. My sense of humor IS exactly the same as her. My friends tend to point out that I am quite random. Lorelai definetly has plenty of random moments to go around to everyone!!!

As much as i want to get along with my mom i always seem to say or do something that makes my mom mad. mad enough to start a fight, a yelling fight that could last too long. Sound firmilar? thats right, Lorelai had the same problem.

I would say I am most like lorelai because my parents want a life for me that does not mirror my own wishes. I also share the same coffee addiction, odd sense of hummor, and an independent disposition.

  • Anne

I think I am most like Lor, I had a child pretty young, talk way to fast, have to have jolt to get going, can be sarcastic, and oh the man troubles!

  • Deven

For better or worse, I would say that I’m most like Taylor. I like things to go well in my own little kingdom, and I’m definitely more comfortable being in control. I like people to follow the rules.

I’m a Rory all the way. In high school, I was very studious and very focused on school and getting into the college of my choice. I also love to read and I love coffee, junk food, and music.

  • Alana
    Dec 17, 2007 at 10:03 am

Definitely Lorelai. I have the same personality as she does around guys, and friends, although I think she’s a little more outgoing than I am probably. Lorelai is governed by music and movies, and I can honestly say that those two things are my life. I always like to know what is going on in celebrities lives. Im pretty talkative also and i LOVE coffee.

  • Laura
    Dec 17, 2007 at 10:14 am

Sookie is my girl; heart and soul. I laugh and cry when I see her just because I can relate to almost all her situations. I am a loyal and great friend to my best friend, who ironically is most like Lorelai. I have been told many times that my cooking skills are one of a kind and I seem to have a bit of a clumsy streak! I definitely relate to early years Sookie. I am even trying to find a bumper sticker with a reference to her… anyone?

  • Debra
    Dec 17, 2007 at 10:31 am

I,m A Rory all the way. I always carry a book with me. Always try an do the right thing.A thinker. When I make a mistake it,s usually a big one,but no probation.

  • Kellyl

Sookie. I love that she’s just a little bit nutty. She’s big on family (me too) and she clearly enjoys her job.

    Dec 17, 2007 at 12:09 pm

I am most like Rory because we both strive to get good grades in school. We both did really well in high school and like her i was nervous about starting college. I am already in my second year and everytime i watch an episode of gilmore girls i picture her as me and lorelai as my mother. Even when i am not watching the show i imagine it. I just feel that whatever situation she is in i can relate to and i feel as if we have very similar personalities and taste in boys. Also i am seen as doing the right thing and also making lists for everything as well as being neat and tidy. I admire her character and i just love Gilmore Girls!

  • Robyn

I am..most like Lorelai. I’m crazy, and I like to annoy people in restaurants. :D All of my friends and family think I’m crazy, and there is never a time when I’m not cracking wise jokes, or lightening the mood during family meetings. My family is disfunctional…like the Carringtons. So It is my job to lighten the mood, and get some giggles. I am a coffee addict. I have a coffee cup alarm clock. Does it work? No. Is it cute? DUH! Let’s see whate else, I want to eat healthy, but then I open my fridge, and I see cookie dough, and chocolate which ends my plan for eating healthy. I hate excercising! It’s a waste of time. I’m not fat. I am social, and I love hanging out with friends, watching movies, and just being me. I’m not going to pretend to be someone else, and bottle up everything inside. It’s not fun that way. ;] So there we go! Amen.

  • Phoebe
    Dec 17, 2007 at 12:24 pm

I’m a mixture of Lorelai, Rory, and Sookie.
I’m a hard working student, like Rory, and I’m somewhat quiet when I need to be. I’m like Lorelai, because I have the same quirky fast talk habit, and I use obscure references, and all my friends think I’m random and sometimes weird. Also, I have that sense of independence that Lorelai has, and I playfully push the rules. I’m like Sookie because I’m sometimes clumsy, but I’m also creative.

I am definetly most like Rory. Everyone tells me that I act and look like her. I am very studious, 2nd in my class. I love school and reading books. I carry a book with me everywhere. My mom and I have a relationship exactly like Lorelai and Rory. I would love to go to an Ivy League college (and I might). I dress like Rory and one of my friends is just like Paris! Don’t forget- I LOVE junk food!!! My mother and I say
“Oy with the poodles already” and we made up our own catchprase/saying “CHICKEN!!!”.

I am most like Lane. Growing up with very strict and religeous parents I had to find creative ways to be “me”

  • Nicole
    Dec 17, 2007 at 1:35 pm

I would have to say i’m most like Rory. I love to read, and when she firsts meets someone she seems really quite, but when she gets to know someone she is very outgoing, that is me. I am also one of the most smartest girls in the grade, I’m definilty not valedvictorian marterial but still i’m on the smarter side. I’m also very good with the banter like she is. I can go on and on like the way she and Lorelai do with each other with all my friends. I’m also a movie and tv show buff like her. Ok I am really not that much of a buff but I can keep up with the Gilmore Girls….most of the time. I have also tryed to learn golf…didn’t work too well. Oh and I always have the best birthdays like her, my best was my 13th, we had a shaving cream fight =] Also I don’t like going to school dances, I have only gone to homecoming, and will only go to homecoming and prom. And I didn’t meet my grandfathers but my mother said I would’ve gotten along very well with my mother’s father. And I have been dreaming of the college I have wanted to go to since I was a kid. When I was little i was also obsessed with the prince from ‘Sleeping Beauty’ (probably becasue Sleeping beauty was my favorite princess but still!) Oh and last but not least me and my best friend have been best friends since kindergarten like Lane and Rory.

  • Bethany
    Dec 17, 2007 at 2:19 pm

Even though Lorelai is my favorite of the Gilmore Girls, I feel as if I am more like Rory Gilmore. Since I was a young child I read like crazy and was always taking a book with me wherever I went. I never put a book a down. I was always the top of my class and excelled in all subjects. Like Rory I have a fetish for movies, music, and junk food, but not like Lorelai. I’ve also had a best friend since I was little. Like Rory has Lane. Someone who was always at my house or me at hers. Like Rory I have dreamed about being a journalist, but it always changes. I was also on my Junior High school newspaper. Rory and I are more alike then I had thought.

honestly, honestly i think i was like roon, because he was very pessimistic and he always saw the cup as half empty. yet if i had the option of dating lorelai i would be like heck you, but other than that, i’m like roon and i’m short

  • Cathy
    Dec 17, 2007 at 2:32 pm

I’m a Rory. I love to write and read. I’m a movie freak; classic or new and any genre. I’m quiet and shy, unless someone gets me ranting or talking about some book I just read or movie I recently saw. I’m a study freak - it’s just what I do. I love school and hate the cliques. I love lists, from pro and con to ‘to do’ lists, and I like to be organized. Also, I tend to talk like Rory, sometimes Lorelai, but my friends tell me I’m more Rory-like. I guess I am.

  • A Mother and Daughter
    Dec 17, 2007 at 2:48 pm

I’m a combination of Lorelai and Rory. I love to read both fiction and non-fiction. I have the pop culture references down and will come up with random facts about movies, tv shows, music, etc. I’m a girlfriend type of girl just like Rory. I also like guys that are a combination of Luke, Jess and Logan (brains and brawn). I love junk food and am lucky that I haven’t gained weight from enjoying it all. I’m book smart but still quite naive on life and I have a real corny sense of humor.

Even though my favorite character is Lorelai, I think that I am definately more like Rory. I share her love of reading, and I always have a book with me. I even carry books with me when I go to the mall! I’m quiet and reserved, but when I’m with my friends or family I can use sarcasm and make people laugh, though not to the extent Lorelai can. I also make numerous pop culture references. I strive to get good grades, and I’ve dreamed of being either a Journalist or a Writer since I was young. And, I’m planning on joining the school paper. I love junk food, and if I don’t have any close friends with me, I would prefer to sit alone and read and/or listen to music. I’m also a total klutz when it comes to sports, and aim to avoid gym class in any way possible!

The only major difference between me and Rory is that I’m in band and chorus. Everything else is pretty much the same. My friend briefly started calling me ‘Mary’ because I never get in trouble, and I told her about that episode of Gilmore Girls.

i am most like lorelai, but not because i like coffee, talk to fast, or even because i am a little wacky. i am like lorelia because i am a surviver. She beet the odds and so have i. She is strong and indipendent and i have been called the same. she is someone that has inspired me. heck i even fell inlove with one of my best friend and it took me 3 years to figure it out (he still does not know and most of the time i deni it). she is some one who bounced back from a bad case and made it good. oh and i love movies and music and books.

    I am a Lororysook,

For me I can’t identify myself as one of these three girls. I love reading, talking a mile a minute, and cooking. My friends all say I’m a quirkiest combanation of a person they’ve seen; my teachers say the same thing too.
As I said before I love to read. I read a book every week. They range from historical-fiction, fiction, and many other genres. Although I’m only in 8th grade I’ve read two great pieces of literature. I mainly though like tackling they fabulous books that aren’t mainstreem.
I also love to talk. Ever since I was 6th months old I haven’t stopped talking (or so my parents say). I have a wild sense of humor that deffinetly gets me in trouble some times. Everyday I find myself quoting Lorelai and using referances she did.
Lastly, I’m like Sookie beacuse I love to cook. My dad taught me how to make pancakes when I was 2 1/2. Not long after could I help make eggs, pancakes, cookies and other things. I live in the California Bay Area and it is so centered around culture. Since a huge part of culture is food I’m always exposed to many different tyes of food. Now I can cook my family dinner and not have resort to calling food in.

I’m not going to lie and say that I’ve watched since the very beginning. I’m only 13 years old and the show started when I was in Kindergarden. Although, ever since 6th grade I have caught up and watched every single episode. I have learned each episode and I’m watching re-runs. I love Gilmore Girls to the end of the world.

  • Sara
    Dec 17, 2007 at 7:56 pm

I am most like Lorelai mainly for the reason that we are both very independent. I don’t like to borrow things from people because I feel the need to prove that I can take care of myself just like when Lorelai didn’t want to accept money from her mother to fix the termites in her house. I am quick to forgive even when the people I’m forgiving don’t really deserve it, for instance, when Lorelai forgave her mother for tearing Luke and her apart for a short period of time. Turning awkward situations into funny situations is always a thing I enjoy doing as Lorelai has done many a time on the show. I will fight with people (or annoy them) until I get them to do what I want just like Lorelai talking baby talk to get Luke to agree to give a presentation at Stars Hollow High. My family is number one to me, and nothing matters more than them. Lorelai is the same because Rory is everything to her. She did something she would never do for herself, something she would never do for anyone but her daughter by asking her parents for money. As everyone else has already said, I also can’t go through a day without coffee like many other characters on Gilmore Girls. Lorelai is a good role model because she posses many qualities that young girls should strive for. Independence, loyalty, love, confidence, and passion are just a few of the good things about her. Although I am not completely like her, I definitely wouldn’t mind it. A confident woman who loves her family enough to sacrifice her own inn to send her daughter to college, who will stay up until all hours of the night just to help her daughter in school, who will offer a listening ear to her mother even when they don’t get along that well. This is a woman that deserves to be a role model, and any woman should be happy to be a little something like Lorelai.

If I were a character from Gilmore Girls, I would most likely be Rory. We have so many things in common, and I can relate to a lot of things she went through on the show. I love to read! I’m a coffee addict. So yummy. I like making fun of horrible movies, and I’m a big movie buff. We have similar situations with our fathers, except her’s just lives in Boston. Mine passed away. Anyways, that’s who I think I’m most like.

    Dec 17, 2007 at 9:36 pm

Ah, I am Kirk. Kirk I am.

This is because I have no shame. No shame at all.

Breakdancing in public (the shame of which for me is acheived simply by dancing in public); nudity in boats (too many times to count); many occupations (though admittedly over time, not all at once); a too-cute-for-me, slumming girlfriend (now wife); talking too much, with way TMI; fear of mice (my girlfriend now wife has to deal with dead things); and finally, I have seriously burned myself with cheese.

AND, I’m not ashamed of any of it.

  • Cynthia

I came in here ready to say I was a Rory because I love learning and I have a major crush on Jared Padalecki! LOL. But as I read over the traits others mentioned I realized that I’m a Lorelai, too.

I talk fast, I talk in odd pop culture phrases, I’m sarcastic. I’ll talk to anyone anywhere. And I act younger than I am!

  • Cara
    Dec 18, 2007 at 5:29 pm

I am mostly like Rory with a little Lane.
Rory: I am smart and go to a prep school like Chilton (very old and prestigious). I love movies, junk food, and coffee. I am quiet but a little outgoing, and I study a lot, even in my free time. I am always the one trying to bring my family together and reaching out to those who are outsiders. I have high hopes for college, like Rory, aiming for an Ivy League like Yale, Harvard or Stanford. I am also a very good writer and public speaker.
Lane: I play the drums, I love music, I rebel against my parents, and I am a good friend.

  • Kay
    Dec 18, 2007 at 5:53 pm

I’m Rory because I follow the rules to the letter practically. I am polite. I am quiet and have a few close friends like her. I love to read all types of books. I am also a writer. I study a ton and get very good grades.

i think im most like Rory. i take a book with me everywhere i go and am top in my class. while i dont share her coffee addiction, i do share her love of movies and music. our personalites are almost identical! im quiet and shy and seldom make mistakes, but when i do they’re big ones. i take my schoolwork very seriously and love being with my family.

I am probably most like Lorelai because I am very sarcastic and witty! I am quite dependent and like to do things for myself. Oh and I love poptarts, metallica, and annoying my mother! But are differences end at the coffee obsession. I prefer tea :)

  • Emily
    Dec 19, 2007 at 8:34 am

Although Lorelai is my favorite character, I’m probably more like Rory. I was a real brainiac in high school and a bit of a perfectionist.

  • Kasia
    Dec 19, 2007 at 12:06 pm

I have to admit, that even if I’m a girl, I’m definitely more of a Luke-like person.
When I started to watch the show it shocked me so much just how simillar to me Luke was. Apart from the dayly rants I even tends to gesture the way he does.
When I have my mind set on something it’s really hard for anyone to make me change it. Normally it’s not easy for me to make a decission, I have to think things through, but then again sometimes all I need is a strong impulse and I made them really fast. I tends to be very sarcastic when I want to, but in a very dry, grumpy Luke-like way.
I can be bitter, sometimes anti social even, but if any of my friends and people I care for needs me, I’m always there
I even do not eat red meat, actually didn’t like it since I was a kid, definitely more of a veggy person.
I have to admit sometimes it scares me just how simillar to Luke I am.

I am like a female Logan I like to live for the moment, and have fun with my friends. I don’t like to have people like my parents telling me what to do and who to date. I like to find my own way. I also like to work and get work hard when I want to and not have pressure while doing it. Like Logan in S7. I also love to throw parties that have themes in them. I also love to watch movies and read also Logan activities.

I think I am like Rory because just like Rory in high school I was on the newspaper and also the editor. After high school I got accepted to Princeton, Yale, Harvard and Brown .. I think that I am a lot like Rory, but sort of like Lorelai too. I LOVE coffee! I can’t live w/o it…its my life line. I love movies and music, and I can talk REALLY fast! Like Rory, I’m on my school paper and I’m a smart girl, not a nerd, but smart. I also have a dream of becoming a journalist and going to Yale. Just like Lorelai, I am very witty and sometimes sarcastic. My clothes are more like something that Rory would wear, but certain things look like Lorelai. I LOVE THOSE GIRLS!

I think it isn’t fair that it is not international this comp cause It is a great comp however I will still put mine down

I feel that the relationship between my mum and I is similar to the relationship between Lorelai and Lorelai in Gilmore girls. Every time Emily comes on to the screen my mum is always like “Your dads mum is sooooo much like Emily it scares me” which she is! We share all news good and bad. We both sit and watch Gilmore girls when it is on and we enjoy a good movie night. I have grown up watching Gilmore girls I have taken used quotes from Gilmore girls because you can easily relate some quotes to everyday life. You might be still asking what Exactly do I find in common with the “Lorelais” well I guess I can translate to Lorelai with being independent yet able to ask for help when she runs out of ideas to ease the position she is in and easily relating something to a movie, although I can also translate to Rory because I always seem to have a book and I have ended up needing a new bookcase due to the many books that I possess.

    What do you think?

  • Sarah
    Dec 21, 2007 at 1:08 pm

I think i am most like Sookie because i love to cook/bake and i am cretive and funky. i am also a great friend like Sookie is to Lorelai. In a way i am like Rory because i have a great relationship with my mom and i LOVE to read.

    What do you think!?!?!?

Lorelai for sure! I am witty, smart, sassy, look great in jeans, have the same dark curly hair, drink copiuos amounts of coffee, and ALWAYS put my children first. BTW, my daughter is well on her way to being Rorry! I can’t get a book out of her hands, and I met my husband at a Dinner/Bar while he was working!!!

I feel like i’m mostly like Paris, loll! I’m pretty much a control freak (though i’m not as bad as her!), I’m always willing to push myself in order to obtain what I want and also, I ramble a lot when i’m nervous!

I am mostly like Rory because I’ve always been a good student and went to a private school to get away from public school so that I could attend a good college. I am also attracted to huge libraries where I can read whatever I want. My favorite episode is the Road Trip to Harvard where Rory looks up in awe at the Harvard library and then in more awe at the though of several such libraries on the campus. I also did not end up going to the college I thought I would through pro-con lists. I also changed so much in college just like Rory… Rory’s college life was basically mine without the affair and the dropping out. But the going back with gusto and determination to finish on time is very much something I would have done had I needed time off. ALSO, my mom is and always has been my best friend. We tell each other everything except for a period of time when we weren’t talking like the painful 6 episodes in season 6. But my mom let me go through what I needed to go through like Lorelai let Rory go through what she needed to go through.

I think I am defentilly most like Rory. I have a great relationship with my mom, we are best friends, even though sometimes we fight, we still are really close. I love reading, and work really hard in school. I can’t live without coffee, just like Rory, and have the same taste in clothes. I also think I have the same sense of humor as her and kind of look like her (brown hair and pale skin), defentilly not as beautiful though!

Well, I think I am mostly like AS-P …. her quirky writing style (plus all the Gilmoreisms) is what attracted me to the show in the first place. It was like it was created for me to enjoy! Plus, being older and having grown up in the 70s, stumbled thru the 80s, glammed up in the 90s etc. (yikes!), I have been able to understand nearly every crazy reference spoken throughout the series’ run. I’m laughing when the kids are asking “What’s that mean?” …..

Well, Happy Holidays and long live syndication!

i think that if i would be asked this question before i would have to say that i am most like rory, because i worry about my studys i work really really hard at everything i do, reading is something that you basically always catch me doing (even not in my free time!!!) i have a great relationship with my mom as her being my best freind, even when we get in fights. another reason is because i always get told that i even look like her! she is always in love with the kind of guys that i love and well lets just say if you ever met me you would say i am a complete rory!

I’m a Rory (not the drink).

All I do is study all day everyday. My dad has been MIA my whole life. My grandparents have loads of money and are insisting that I go to a fancy high school. Basically the West Coast equivalent of Chilton.
I adore reading and hate sorts too.

Back in the day I wrote for my high school and college newspaper. Additionally, I did really well in college. In those ways, I was a Rory through and through. I’m in the working world now…and as such, I feel as though I’ve matured into a Lorelai. Here’s ALL the reasons why:

Addicted to caffeine (not always in the form of coffee, but sometimes), I’m up on my pop culture references, I am easily excitable (which is an understatement), I name random inanimate objects (like my car, the voicemail woman voice on the cell phone), obsessed with puppies and all things cute and girly, strong-willed, interested in my community, sometimes short-tempered, I’m committed to my job, i LOVE snow and LOVE quotable random movies…

and…that is all… i think. Happy Holidays all you Gilmore Girl Addicts! :)

I’m definitely Babette. I love getting involved in other people’s business, and I’m totally attracted to hottie jazz piano players! Also, I’m a bit of a gossip. More than bit. =]

    Kiss him, sugar!

I think, I´m most like Lorelai, although my name is Babette, my parents didn’t know GG when they named me so :) ….
Well, I LOVE coffee and I´m talking the whole day things no one understands :)
Later, I want to open my own hotel, too and I have the dream for years now…. I didn’t know GG, yet, when I decided this.

I would have to say that I’m like a combo of Lorelai and Rory.
Like Rory, I’m intelligent and pretty motivated a lot of the time, not to mention I have also experienced that daunting and terrifying fear of the unknown.
Then I have nurturing tendencies and am very zany and outgoing like Lorelai :)
AND, I have the same talent for remembering numerous movie quotes as well as an affinity for pop culture like both of the Gilmore girls :)

  • Abbey

I think I am the perfect combination of both Lorelai and Rory. I’m witty, sarcastic, and always make cultural references just as Lorelai does. Also, I’m like Rory. I like to read classic novels, I love writing, I’m smart, and I want to be a journalist.

The character that I feel I am most like is Rory. Its funny to compare yourself to a character in a show but its true that you do when you are watching the show. I was a loyal fan who planned her whole night around 7:00 when the show came on. My friend and I would eat pizza and icecream and laugh. The reason I connect with Rory the most is I enjoy life’s simple things. When she would read her book under HER tree it was that simple thing that made her happy. When she drank her coffee it made her happy, when she went to class it challenged her and made her happy, being best friends with her mom made her happy. All these things are the simple things in life that make me happy as well. When you can find joy in those little things each day is a blessing!

I have been told I am a lot like Kirk. I am the crazy wanderer who will do anything and everything just to be involved. I am not the brightest crayon in the box, I have a little sense though, I have been known sleep in other peoples boats in their garages. I am a jack of all trades. I live with my mom and sometimes she scares me too. Its honestly hard to be like one character cause I think everyone is a little bit Lorelai, Rory, Luke, Suki, Jackson, Emily, Richard, Kirk, and the rest of the GG family.

  • Rachel
    Dec 29, 2007 at 8:14 pm

I would have to say I am mostly like Lorelai- I not only love diners, Luke (former baseball player Scott Paterson) and I, too, am going back to school. I also quote her often at dinner (unfortunately I am not as original as her) and love her sarcasm. My husband thinks I am mostly like Rory because I have her sense of humor and drive for success. I would like to think I am more like Kirk, but only because he makes me laugh.

  • Larry

I have bad days. I’ve stayed up all night studying. I’ve gotten a D. I’ve arrived to school late. I’m not that social and I like it that way. I get nervous around boys I like and act like an idiot around them until I get to know them better. I like to plan things out and make pro/con lists. I like taking the safe route with most things, but I have realized how amazing taking risks really feels. I dream of doing things most people think are impossible to do, like getting into an Ivy League school or meeting a hero of mine in real life. I have high expectations for myself. When I feel I don’t do my best on something, it haunts me and that’s all I think about. I love separating my laundry into a million different piles. I like burgers and fries; they are comfort foods to me. I love music. I think saying I love you to someone is very special, and shouldn’t be said at a whim. My pathway in high school is communications. I love to write and I enjoy studying journalism. I try to hide my feelings, but people can sort of senses how I feel. Pop tarts, need I say more? I never use to like to cook, but as I’m getting older, I’ve come around to it. I enjoy good movies, and bad ones. I have been faced with ultimatums, the all or nothing. I’ve been in fights with friends, on awkward dates, and had movie nights. I’ve had my mom invite guys over to watch a movie with us, thinking it was “no big deal”. I’ve seen my mom down. I’ve seen myself down. I’ve been on road trips because others needed to getaway from life. I’ve stayed in crazy bed and breakfasts. I’ve wanted to talk about things others aren’t ready to talk about. I try to look at the glass half full. I’ve been in love. I’ve said I love you. I see the good in what other people call the bad. I’ll graduate with honors. I’ve wanted to throw over the top parties with the world’s biggest pizza. My mom is someone I would like to be. I’ve traveled with many characters in books. After my first kiss, I ran away quickly. I’m afraid to break rules, and sometimes I do miss my mom. I don’t like change. I ask a lot of questions and put studying as a top priority. I wouldn’t be where I am now without my grandparents, whom I have, unlike Rory, been close to my whole life. When I want to hide from the world I go under my covers. When someone tells me I’m not good at something I love to do, I break down. I don’t live in Stars Hollow, or have a best friend named Lane, but throughout the seven seasons I think I have enjoyed it so much because I could relate. It was like I was watching myself grow up as I watched Rory. I saw her make mistakes, fall in love, graduate, and in the back of my mind I kept thinking, that is going to be me someday. So, you see, If I could introduce myself as “Hello, my name is Rory, it’s nice to meet you”, I would do so in a heart beat, because she has taught me so many life lessons just by being herself. She’s kind, serious, funny, and creative. Just knowing I have an once of something in common with her is a compliment.

I think I am most like Rory. Not bc we look alike or anything, but bc of her personality. My mom had me young making me close with my mother like Rory is hers. We are both smart, good at solving problems, and are very privileged. Our personalities are both up-beat & fast paced. We like long term relationships & are always there for our friends. I’m not a writer, but i love to read.

Lorelei - Because I am a single mother and have a wonderful, bright, intelligent young woman for a daughter! We have silly moments as well as serious life situations and are so close we know what the other is thinking. We have movie nights to watch our favorite sappy romances - over and over and over. We have watched Gilmore Girls from the beginning and had strict instructions that NO ONE were to disturb us - visitors, phone calls - nothing - on Tuesday night from 7-8 pm.

I’m definitely a Babette. We’re both blondes of about the same age and size, and we’re both very interested in all the latest gossip. Like Babette, I have a love of odd collections and love lawn ornamentation. Instead of gnomes, I prefer big fat frogs and rabbits. My husband was a good-natured guy who put up with my eccentricities and go along with my goofy plans. Like Murray, he wore a silly hat and loved jazz. Our house has always been filled with personal items, family photographs, quirky art, and spoiled pets. I have a best friend who teaches water aerobics and loves to meet me for lunch on a regular basis. During these lunches we gossip mercilessly about family and acquaintances and people we hardly know. Like Babette, I love helping my friends and neighbors and enjoy the opportunity to always be in on the action so that my friend and I will always be in the know.

Well, I must say that I am definetly a Miss Patty. I am one of those people that wants to know everything, about everyone. And let me just say that I am very good at accomplishing that task. Whether I am easdropping or have heard it from other people, I am always the one to go to for information. I also love to help others as much as I can, and put my participation in everything. Another thing Miss Patty and I have in common is that we both love to dance. Dancing in my opion is one of those necessary things in life. I might not be a Gilmore Girl but I am definetly a Miss Patty.

I’m pretty much exactly like Rory Gilmore. I was raised by my single mother, and my father isn’t in the picture much. School-wise, I constantly have my nose in a book and I’m at the top of my classes. I’m mostly a loner at school, preferring my books to the rich snobs that are my classmates. Music is a big part of my life; my tastes in music are pretty much like Rory’s. Oh, and we can’t forget the coffee! Coffee is a must for me.

  • Tracie L.
    Jan 2, 2008 at 10:14 pm

    Tracie is a Lorelai,
I admire this character and how great this show is, it has inspired me in so many ways. When I seen the girls buy the Inn I made a career choice to go into hospitality. I got my associates degree in Small Business Management and took on a hospitality career, it has been such a ride and I cannot wait to get started on my own Inn! I loved season 7 when Richard and Emily told their daughter that the whole town was behind her and close to her, I do the best I can for being 21 and trying to leave an impression on this world. I love giving to charities that mean something to me and I try to be a better person everyday. I love people and getting to know them. I think Lorelai is the best character for someone that is a young mother, I’m not but I want nothing more then to have a great relationship with my kids like these to women have in the show.
If I don’t get this wonderful opportunity I want all of the writers and the cast to know that they are very inspiring people and that I thank you for everything! I don’t know what else to say I love everyone on here I want to be Lorelais character but in real life and I hope one day I can do her some justice!
I wish this show would return it has done nothing but change lives for mothers and daughters, have a great career and thanks once again! Ahhh… just remember you left a great impression on peoples lives and I cannot wait to show these seasons to my children.

I am most like Lane - I had overprotective, very religious parents. Throughout highschool I followed along, but eventually realized I wanted to be my own person. My drum? Speech. I am 23, have a 2 year old son and am engaged to get married. I am the only of my friends to have children and often feel stuck or left at home. I have a “Rory” in my life and a friends dad who was very much “MY Lorelai Gilmore.”

Every day, when I was looking at the serial, my bigger wishes was that I wanted to be like Lorelai. She is so funny, beautiful and smart. But I thing that I am most like Rory. I like reading book. I am little funny but no so crazy like Lorelai. I am good at school. So everything like Rory.

I love them all. But I love the most is Lorelai. She reminds me of my life, but with out having a child at 16. I have had so many good and bad relationships, with my friends, guys, and family its unreal. If I could ever have a wish it would of been able to just be a walk on and meet the Gilmore Girls. I own all of the seasons, and know them almost by heart. I wish so much the show would not have ended. I wanted to see Luke and Lorelai get together, start a family, and Rory with her future too. I was just not ready for the Gilmore girls to be over. I know its a long shot but I do hope they change their minds and do a come back, and fast.

I couldn’t figure out which character I am most like. So, I asked my husband…seeing that I turned him into a fan, he’s the best person to answer this for me. Here’s his answer:

“You’re Lorelai. You never shut up. You say insane things that don’t make sense until I think about it later on, but the entire time it makes sense to you. You see things before everyone else does. You’re afraid of being alone at the same time that you enjoy your independence. You have made mistakes, but do not live to regret. You might not drink coffee but you’re the same way as she is with sugar. You love Willy Wonka, the Clash, and scarves. You have a silly best friend with whom you can joke around and immediately know things about, like when Sookie was pregnant. You may not drive a jeep, but you certainly are Lorelai.”

I think that I’m most like Lane and Rory because I love music like Lane does and I love to play the drums, but I’m a lot like Rory, not only because I look a little like her, but also because I love to read, I work really hard at school and everything I do like Rory, and because my mom and I are best friends, and my mom is definitely the crazy one. :)

I am a little bit of a Lorelai and a little bit of a Rory. I am quirky like Lorelai and a good mother, but I love to read like Rory.

I am am a mixture between Lorelai and Lane. I know more about musicians and bands than anyone I know from Patti Smith, Paul Weller, Sid Viscious and Tom Verlaine to Win Butler, Meg White, and Thurston Moore. I love music and definitely couldn’t live without it. I am most like Lorelai just because I drop crazy refrenses to movies and anything pop culture that nobody gets. I have a very quirky character but I am also incredibly stubborn. Well that’s about it.

    I’m most like Rory,
Rory like me had an interest for adult books at a young age. I also wish to go to Yale, but to becamo an artist, or possibly an author, I haven’t decided. I also prefer books and homework compared to a boyfrined, or how I look. In a way watching Gilmore Girls also made me feel like it was okay to be that way. Gilmore Girls has changed my life, I may not be Lorelai, or Lane, or any other character. but being weird is how I am. And for that I thank Alexis Bedel for allowing every ine else realize that it’s alright to love books. E-mail thephantomoftheopera11@yahoo.com

    I am a Sookie/ Rory fusion.
Personality wise, I have the best intentions in giving advice but I tend to be blunt. Plus, I’m plenty klutzy.
Intelligence wise, I’ve grown up reading the same books Rory has and have been able to skip numerous grades over the years.
I also have a very strong coffee addiction!

Hi, What a fun contest. I am without a doubt more like “Lorelei!” I am independent, impulsive and compassionate. I also have a very close relationship with my two teenage sons. Compromise is really not in my vocabulary, whether it means money or not! Thanks,Cindi

I would say that I am more like Lane. I am a whole different person when I am around my friends then when I am around my mother because I know she will go psycho on me if she knew how I really was…

I think Rory, cause if someone ask me to do something for them it’s hard for me to say no, so I say yes, even if I really don’t want to.

I’m Rory! I was raised by a Lorelai-type single mom, I’m practical and a tad on the geeky-school-wise side.
And oh how I miss Gilmore Girls!

    Mrs.Patty!
I love to know whats going on!
I love knowing things that others dont.
But when it comes down to if it is going to hurt someone i am like her too. when lorelai gets drunk at a wedding and starts going on and on about luke and her getting married patty gets to the entire town and tells them not to talk about it but with other things she goes on and on but she knew it would hurt luke and if it hurt luke then it would hurt lorelai and she really wants lorelai to get married and if possible to luke. so thats why i picked mrs.patty because i love gossip but i care and love my friends as she does.

I think I am more like Lorelai with a dash of Luke. While I love coffee, witty conversation, and snow; I also eat very healthy, exercise and love the outdoors. A little Lorelai is better than none, and always makes life more fun.

I think that I am a mixture of Emily and Lorelei. I am a young mom but I tend to do things that I think are the best for my kid then something happens and I realize that was not the best. I am a little controlling when it comes to my family. I have the best of intentions but not always the best laid plans to accomplish those goals. I also tend to not say when I am wrong.

Even though they are very different…I would have to say that I am a mixture of Paris and Rory. I really obsess about my grades, have a need to be perfect, and am pre-med. I guess I am sort of OCD (very Paris). I am, however, also very shy sometimes, like Rory. I also have a great realtionship with my mom.

I think that I am more of a Rory living in Lane’s world. I spend most of my time reading, adn I have big goals (like college and career) but I have a rather strict mother. I hide a lot of things and I have to sneak around to be able to have a life that’s my own.

Great question! Although I’m a 46 year old mother (which means I get 99.9% of AS-P’s cultural references), I would have to say that the person I most identify with is LUKE! I’m a good cook (basic stuff, though, not fancy like Sookie), the person that lots of people come to for advice/help, and I am well-known for my rants (just get me started on people with cellphones!). Thank goodness for the DVD’s, ’cause I miss my Girls.

My wife, Lori is a very, very big fan of the Gilmore Girls. I loves them all, she owns gilmore girls coffee mugs, Luke dinner coffee mugs, she owns all the seasons, tote bags, and has lots of t-shirts with the dragon fly, Yale, and others. She has pictures of the Gilmore girls on her cell phone, and when I call her, Luke’s picture comes up. She says I am her Luke, (doesnt hurt I almost look like him but I am 31 years old (so I am a younger Luke), she says) I think she would be a Lorelai. I have watch some of the shows with her and someone must of came into my wife’s life and wrote this Lorelai about her. She is so much like her, and she didnt even try. My wife would love this book!
