Madeline and Louise: An Update
Since we’ve been re-living the early days of Gilmore Girls, I thought it might be interesting to take a look at what our Chilton girls, Madeline (Shelly Cole) and Louise (Teal Redmann), are up to now.
Shelly Cole appeared in 33 episodes of Gilmore Girls as Madeline Lynn between 2000 - 2004. Since then, Shelly Cole has made a string of television guest spots including CSI: NY, Cold Case and Criminal Minds.
Most recently, Shelly completed a movie called ‘The Village Barbership’ co-starring John Ratzenberger. The movie is a lead role for Shelly, where she plays a broke young Irish/Italian girl who is pregnant and trying to find her way.
Teal Redmann appeared as Louise Grant in 34 episodes of Gilmore Girls but has not been as active as Shelly post-Gilmore. She appeared in 1 episode of CSI: Miami and two of CSI: Las Vegas, and has not worked on any new roles since 2006.
What are your favorite Madeline & Louise moments on Gilmore Girls? One of mine is when they visit Rory’s house and try on the clothes for the rummage sale - it’s a cute scene.

Great Idea Arieanna, of posting news about the both of them!
…Madeline and Louise were two great essencial characters in GG.
I think my favorite momments of them was on the 4th season, 17 episode: “Girls in bikinis and boys doing the twist.” They were so funny, being crazy, going out, running into Paris and Rory at the beach, Being jealous of the twin girls, saying that the best way to get guys’ attencion is kissing at each other! So funny!
…I think that was a wonderful way to say good bye to Madeline and Louise.

I thought those two were so typical of trust fund babies going thru college life with no direction because their parents were too busy for them.
One of my favorite scenes was when Lorelei took them to see the Bangles(?) and they left w/some guys they met and Lorelei reamed them a new one. I remember Paris saying it was the best night of her life!

P.S. Thanks, Arieanna, for posting information on the two actresses. It reallly is fun to hear about the other people in the series, and what they are up to these days.
Anything to report on Scott Cohen now that ASP new series is all but kaput (much to my dismay).

I saw Shelly Cole in “The Village Barbershop” at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose and she was AMAZING in it. Keep an eye out for this movie, it’s a really funny and touching film.
