Gilmore Girls Fan Fiction by Lori
A couple of days ago, I opened up invitations for you guys to contribute your fan stories, fan art or articles to Gilmore Girls News - to make this more your site. Well, Lori has taken up the call with some Gilmore Girls Fan Fiction.
Lori has written several fan fiction pieces, but this one is about the relationship between Emily and Lorelai, and how that could have evolved. It’s "a story of healing of wounds, old and new, as an event happens that nearly tears apart the Gilmore family." The story involves crisis, the love of mothers and daughters, romance, and the Stars Hollow wit we know and love. The nuance and insight is amazing - from the phrasing to the characters. I can definitely picture our Gilmore Girls living this story.
Title: "A Mother’s Hope"
The bells above the door rang out as Lorelai bounced into Luke’s diner for lunch. She headed for her favorite seat at the counter as she did when she was alone and eyed Kirk who was eating a sandwich or rather picking at it with great concentration. ”Hey Kirk,” she said as he dissected the entire sandwich before him. “Oh hi Lorelai,” Kirk mumbled without looking up. “He’s been doing that for the past ten minutes,” Luke remarked when he turned from the coffee pot and spotted Lorelai giving him that I-want –coffee grin. He put a cup in front of her and filled it.
“So what’ll you have?” Luke asked Lorelai as she continued to stare at Kirk’s food antics.
“I’ll have my usual,” she replied without even glancing away in Luke’s direction.
“One dead cow on a colon clogging bun coming up.” Luke put in the order to Caesar in the kitchen. “Kirk! What in god’s name are you doing with my food?!”
“I think I lost a contact in my sandwich and now I can’t find it.” Kirk stated with some apprehension.
You can find the rest of this story at FanFiction.net (there are 23 chapters - so far), and can see more from Lori’s profile. She’d love to hear what you think!

I think this is a great idea, but are we going to get a wide variety of the different Ships associated with fanfiction?
Rogan, Lit, Javajunkie, Trory, Slash, balcony buddies, Narcs?
I just think it’s important that we get a wide variety of fanfiction stories.
I know I have a certain bias towards what fanfiction stories I read.

I will post fan fiction that people want me to share here, but I am not sure how regular a column it will be.

I’ll read the fanfiction you’ve meantioned. I’ve tried to e-mail you mine several times but each time I did (with two different services) they would return to me saying: perm. failure. I’ll have to post it here.
I have a GG fanfiction that has been receiving good feedback from readers it’s a Season 8 continuation from Season 7 fanfiction story. It’s the length an actual GG script would take so the episodes are lengthy but definately worth sitting down and reading. I make sure to try and keep the same elements that fans love about the show. Right now I’m in the process of adding the Lorelai/Luke wedding in a week or so and it’s an episode not to be missed. Even if you don’t read any of the previous chapters the wedding still has the same emotional impact. Ah, anyway enough of sweeting it to make it more appealing… please check it out when you have time. Thanks ^-^>> JillianLovesFood.
