Jared Padalecki in “Home for Christmas”

Earlier this year, Jared Padalecki signed on to a trilogy of films based on the life of Thomas Kinkade. The film, originally titled Christmas Cottage is now Home for Christmas.
Jared Padalecki co-stars with Peter O’Toole, Marcia Gay Harden, Aaron Ashmore and Richard Burgi in this film. In a movie being promoted as a future holiday classic, Jared’s character Thomas is looking forwrd to an idyllic holiday in his hometown of Placerville, CA. This small rustic town is struggling, the tourist industry failing. Thom’s ailing but brilliant mentor, Glen (Peter O’Toole) has lost his ability to paint and Thom’s mother is losing her home to foreclosure.
Thom learns to discover himself as an artist and to help the community of Placerville to discover the spirit of Christmas. The film looks at the history that inspired the famous Kinkade painting of The Christmas Cottage. This movie will come out later in 2008.
