‘The Dream of the Romans’ Filming Location
Lauren Graham’s latest film The Dream of the Romans is just kicking into production in Philadelphia. I know many of you are eager to know of any filming locations. Lauren Graham has been spotted in town the last few days, as have other cast members (thanks Jennifer!)
Zeth has emailed in that they are setting up on 18th & South streets to film today.
If anyone either hears of other filming locations, or manages to get any pictures of Lauren Graham, please email me. I’d love to post as much as I can.

thanks for the info! i’m coming home for spring break in a little less than 3 weeks– i hope they’re still filming then! i will definitely try to get a glimse of my favorite gilmore girl!

they will be. they will be filming for 5 weeks.
i would love to go during my spring break too, but i dont know my way around by myself, and do have anyone that will go with me :(

I’d be happy to show you around. Just let me know when. I passed by there on this afternoon, I saw lots of trailers but didn’t see many people. There is an old hospital in the area so maybe that is where they needed to do some filming. There are a few blocks near there where there are temporary no parking signs that are from now until the 28th so I guess they will use that location this week and move somewhere else next. Usually when they film a movie here, they close down streets but I didn’t hear a thing about any closures this time.

i went around there at like 4:30- 5 and there was alot of filming going on.
You kinda had to keep going, tho, so I didnt catch a glimpse of her OR Joe Anderson :(

Tuesday’s dinner reservations at the Rittenhouse
Square restaurant Tinto included “Graham, party of five.”
As in Lauren Graham, who was not in Party of Five but Gilmore Girls. (Let’s get those chick shows straight.)
Graham brought along Jeff Daniels (Terms of Endearment, Dumb and Dumber) and three others, who sat in the downstairs lounge. Graham paid. Very low-key.
They’re in town for Monday’s start of filming of the comedy/romance The Dream of the Romans. Cameras will be all around Center City for nearly a month.
Daniels plays Arlen, reclusive author of a popular book about spirituality, and, as she did in Gilmore Girls, Graham plays a single mother

Last week I was at Starbucks on Walnut St. and Lauren was in there. I totally wanted to pull out my camera, but she was so low key I didn’t. One women recognized her as famous but didn’t know who she was, but said she was prettier in person. I did photograph her today, but can’t share the photos at this time.

Three of us met her breifly today. We had to wait on the street corner for about an hour while she was in her trailer. She was friendly but the lady with her made her leave pretty quickly. We were pretty happy though.

I live just south of 18th and South. Trailers and trucks have been there since Monday/Tuesday. The trailers are parked on South street from just below 19th to 17th. This morning on my way to work, I spoke to someone on security detail for the set - today is their last day at that location and they’ll be moving to another location in Philadelphia - didn’t say where - either didn’t know or didn’t want to disclose. He also told me the next Transformers movie will be filmed in Philadelphia - GREAT for the city!

they’re filming right now in front of my apartment complex … crazy. right at the used bookstore (the book trader) on 2nd st at market.

They were at 9th and Chestnut for 5 hours Thursday morning where I work at Jefferson
