Gilmore Girls Trivia: Jason Stiles
Here’s the answer to our last trivia question: What actor represented two characters in the same episode?
- Lauren Graham as Lorelai and Rory 16 - 2% of all votes
- Marion Ross as Lorelai (Trix) Gilmore and Maryln 481 - 74% of all votes
- Scott Patterson as Luke and Bag Clerk 19 - 3% of all votes
- Cameron Bender as Prof Tucker and Student Extra 133 - 20% of all votes
Kudos to Rob for realizing this was a carefully worded question! Marion Ross played Lorelai “Trix” Gilmore on Gilmore Girls, but she also plays the crazy cousin Marilyn! In 4.16 “The Reigning Lorelai“, Trix had died but Marilyn was in the episode. Marion Ross thus represented two characters in that episode. ;)

Technically speaking, it was even more of a trick question — yes, Marion Ross represented both Trix and Marilyn in The Reigning Lorelai (even though Trix was never physically in the episode), but also, Scott Patterson represented *at least* two different characters in The Real Paul Anka, Luke and, depending on who you think Dream!Luke was being the substitute for, Taylor, Kirk or even Dean!
Or for that matter, The Dog Paul Anka. Jungian dream analysis is never quite clear on that point.
