Lauren Graham Cast In “It’s Kind Of A Funny Story”

November 3, 2009 by Maria Diaz

20080922_lis_o05_160.jpgMore good news for our main girls: it was just announced that Lauren Graham (Lorelai on Gilmore Girls) will be joining Zach Galifianakis and Emma Roberts on the cast of the upcoming film “It’s Kind Of A Funny Story.” The film, based on the book of the same name tells the story of a 16-year-old who has a nervous breakdown and checks himself into a mental facility, but is transferred to the adult ward when he discovers the youth ward is closed. Lauren will play his mom, Lynn.

The film will begin production next month in New York City. Keir Gilchrist will play the lead character, Craig. While this is an indie film, Galifianakis is very popular right now due to his turn in this year’s “The Hangover,” so this movie will probably get more attention because of his involvement. That can only mean good things for Lauren’s visiblity, and will perhaps fetch her more prominent roles in movies. Things are going so well for her right now, with this news and her recent addition to the cast of the upcoming tv show Parenthood. I can’t wait to see Lauren’s new projects!
