Oh darn!! Despite how many of us were excited about the news that ABC had Lauren Graham on their wish list for the 9th season of Scrubs, which would likely re-launch as a new-ish show under a new name, it doesn’t look like this is happening.

Ausiello, who at last update was keeping quiet about the news so as not to jinx it, had an update this morning. When asked about casting Lauren Graham in Scrubs, he said:

“As I suspected, it’s not happening. I don’t even think it got past the wish list stage.”

Major Bummer!! I was really hoping to see Lauren Graham return to a regular television series role soon!

Scrubs has undergone a lot of changes! After NBC dropped the series, it appeared on ABC for its eighth season. The series is set to return for Season 9, but without headliners Zach Braff & Sarah Chalke as regulars (only as guest stars). The series is currently attempting to transition to a new format, and word has it they’re trying to land a big star. Perhaps Lauren Graham!!

The new Scrubs would potentially shift from the hospital to the classroom, with Cox (John C. McGinley) and Turk (Donald Faison) as professors in the school. Aside from new medical students, ABC is recommending the show hire a big name, someone recognizable. It’s reported:

Sources close to the series tell me Gilmore Girls‘ Lauren Graham is currently at the top of their wish list.

Likely this Season 9 of Scrubs will appear under a new name, though possibly related to the name in some way.

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) and his Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere have reportedly split. The couple announced that they were dating in December of 2007, not long after Hayden’s 18th birthday.

USMagazine is reporting that Milo Ventimiglia & Hayden Panettiere have called it quits after more than a year together. An “insider source” claims that it was a “lifestyle conflict” between Hayden & Milo that caused the rift.

The couple, who were spotted in December enjoying a sun-filled romantic vacation in Bora Bora, may be too different. Hayden, now 19, is young and likes the Hollywood nightlife. Milo, now 31, has been concentrating on his work and his production company, Divide Pictures.

Milo Ventimiglia used to date his Gilmore Girls co-star, Alexis Bledel, also younger, but they broke up in 2006.

According to the the Digital Spy, Hayden Panettiere did a surprise strip tease for Milo Ventimiglia on the set of Heroes. The surprise strip tease was to sing happy birthday to Milo, who turned 31 on July 8th.

Hayden wore a special velcro-lined version of her character’s cheerleader outfit. When the time came, during lunch break, Hayden ripped it off to reveal red lingerie underneath. Hayden then sang happy birthday to Milo in front of the cast & crew - Milo reportedly went "bright red."

In Touch is reporting that Milo Ventimiglia may be shopping for an engagement ring for his Heroes co-star and girlfriend Hayden Panettiere. They report that Milo confided in a friend that he’d like to propose to Hayden some time this year, despite the fact that Hayde in is only 18 years old.

The report indicates that Milo was looking at engagement rings in June, and really likes Cartier. They expect his budget for the ring to be around $200,000.

Ausiello, now with EW.com instead of TV Guide, has a few Lauren Graham tidbits in his latest spoiler post.

Ausiello spotted Lauren Graham recently and calls her "absolutely radiant", saying the extended hiatus from tv has done "wonders for her positive energy output" and has made her even chattier than usual. That said, much was asked not to be blogged, and we have no new news if Lauren will be returning to television any time soon.

That said, other sources have indicated Lauren may be looking at a new pilot for HBO by Jhoni Marchinko entitled Driving Around with Joni. The pilot is about 40-year-old widow who, with her French bulldog, drives around LA looking for meaning in her life. Ausiello doesn’t think this role will happen, and neither do I. I can’t see Lauren Graham returning to television only to work with a dog as her primary co-star.

Rumor has it that everyone’s favorite couple, Lauren Graham & Matthew Perry, are back together!

Former Friends star, Matthew Perry, and everyone’s favorite Gilmore Girl, Lauren Graham, dated briefly in 2002, but always remained very close friends.

According to attendees at Ellen DeGeneres’ 50th Birthday Party in Hollywood on May 10th, Lauren Graham and Matthew Perry seemed very much re-united.

"Matt and Lauren are officially a couple - again. They didn’t hide their affection for each other at Ellen’s party, holding hands, whispering and giggling."

"It was quite apparent to everyone they’re definitely more than just good friends."

Although Milo Ventimiglia and his co-stars have been denying any romantic interest between Milo and Hayden Panettiere, news just came out stating that Milo and Hayden are dating.

News has it that Milo and Hayden attended a Christmas party at the Water Grill in LA, where he toasted to Hayden and told his co-stars that they were dating.

An eyewitness tells In Touch Weekly magazine, "He called her his girlfriend and said that he loved her."

The couple spent the rest of the party sitting together and holding hands.

In Touch is a mostly reliable source, but still I cannot say with certainty that this is true. The report is somewhat confirmed by People Magazine (via bosh):

According to a fellow diner, Panettiere and Ventimiglia arrived together and sat next to each other as the young starlet rested her arm on her costar throughout the meal. Eating family style – the waiters put the food in the center of the table – the castmates helped themselves to whatever they wanted and laughed loudly over their meal

Update: People has provided additional confirmation of the story from another friend.

"Hayden’s mom adores Milo. She thinks he’s so cute," a family friend tells PEOPLE. "She tells her friends that he’s her boyfriend. She’s very proud."

The friend says that Milo has met the entire Panettiere family, including Hayden’s grandparents, and is good friends with her little brother.

"At first it doesn’t seem like there’s a big age difference, but then you do see it. … He’s more proper and reserved, and she’s still playful and very girly."

OK. Back to the rumor mill. According to Fametastic, Heroes co-star, James Kyson Lee attempts to put the rumors to bed (so to speak…):

Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia aren’t dating, according to their co-star James Kyson Lee.

Rumours began to circulate about Hayden and Milo - who play Claire and Peter in the show - after they were spotted together around Hollywood on a number of occasions.

James, who plays the superpower-less Ando, told People magazine recently: “The rumor is not true. Let’s just end it there.”
