Mädchen Amick (Sherry on Gilmore Girls) may not have much time left on My Own Worst Enemy (since it was cancelled), but you can tune in to Showtime’s Californication for more of Mädchen!

Mädchen has been playing the role of Janie Jones, who has been sort-of dating Hank Moody (David Duchovny. She made her first appearance on the show in ‘La Ronde’ in the 6th episode of the season on November 2nd. Very shortly after my last review of Mädchen Amick (Sherry on Gilmore Girls) in her drama My Own Worst Enemy, it was sadly cancelled.

The new series on NBC had Christian Slater playing a middle-class guy with an alter ego as a secret agent, something he finds out when the “switch” that turns his alternate personality “on” malfunctioned. Mädchen Amick played Angie Spivey, wife to Henry (double agent Edward). And, although the show didn’t make it to renewal stage, like so many this season, it created a cultural phenomenon with the “hummingbird”

Mädchen Amick (Sherry on Gilmore Girls), as many of you will recall from previous posts here, has been starring in the new NBC drama My Own Worst Enemy.

Mädchen Amick plays the part of Angie Spivey, wife to Henry, the man who finds that he has led a secret double life as Edward Albright. This double character, played by Christian Slater, is shocked to find out his calm middle-class life had an underbelly with his alter ego, Edward, is a secret agent. A chip was implanted in him that allowed him to be “switched” from Henry to Edward, but a malfunction in the chip brought forth the personalities at random, and everything came to light. Sadly, Mädchen’s role has been rather small.

The first episode of the show had mixed reviews, though decent ratings. There have been 3 episodes so far of the series, with the next one to air on November 10th. Here’s a spoiler video for that episode:

As mentioned several times on this blog, Mädchen Amick was cast in the new NBC series My Own Worst Enemy starring Christian Slater. The series is set to debut on October 13th, 2008.

Mädchen Amick will play Angie Spivey in the new series, while Christian Slater will play both Henry Spivey and Edward Albright, the secret double agent he doesn’t know he is.

Mädchen Amick is making another appearance on Gossip Girl 2.03 “The Dark Night.”

In this episode of Gossip Girl, Mädchen’s character Catherine continues her relationship / affair with Nate (Chace Crawford). However, Nate must now confront his feelings for Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) and weigh those against those for Catherine - in a relationship that’s getting more and more complicated every day. She is, after all, a married woman! And much older, at that.

This episode of Gossip Girl will air on September 15th at 8pm on the CW.

Gossip Girl returned last night to set record as the best rating in key demographics for Monday night. Although the Season 2 premiere did slip a little from the Season 1 premiere, the episode was it’s second most watched episode ever (3.4 million, slighly behind the S. 1 premiere).

Mädchen Amick guest starred in the episode entitled "Summer, Kind of Wonderful" as an older married woman having an affair with Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford).

As mentioned previously, Mädchen Amick joined the cast of NBC’s new show, My Own Worst Enemy, playing the part of Henry Spivey’s wife, Angie.

Mädchen co-stars in My Own Worst Enemy with Christian Slater, Saffron Burrows, Mike O’Malley, Bella Thorne, Taylor Lautner, and Alfre Woodard.

My Own Worst Enemy will premiere on October 15th on NBC with the first / pilot episode, “Breakdown”. It will play on Mondays at 10pm.
