“Flash of Genius” on DVD February 17 - New Photos

Lauren Graham’s Flash of Genius will be coming to DVD on February 17, 2009. You can pre-order it on Amazon here.
In order to promote the DVD release, new publicity photos from the movie have been released!
The movie, based on the true story of Robert Kearns, follows auto giant’s theft of the invention of the intermittent windshield wiper. A family man and college professor, Robert Kearns thinks he struck gold for his family when he invents a device that every car will eventually use. However, he’s pushed aside. Robert is overwhelmed by this and becomes obsessed, at all costs, with finding justice for his life’s work. You can read more about it here.

Lauren Graham will appear today on The Bonnie Hunt Show, a talk show that launched just a little while ago.
Lauren Graham, wearing a beautiful sheer top, talked with Bonnie about Flash of Genius, as well as sharing some funny stories of her childhood and what it was like to be raised by her dad.

Lauren Graham on The Hour

Lauren Graham was also on The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos last night, although I didn’t know about this interview in advance. The Hour is a Canadian late night talk show and Lauren appeared on tv to promote Flash of Genius. Given her outfit, my guess is that the appearance was filmed while Lauren was in Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival.
The interview is more conservative than these two, and more of a career and life overview. We even have some cute photos from Lauren growing up.
Lauren Graham fact: she has no microwave!
In this interview, Lauren has the chance to talk a lot more about Flash of Genius, the movie, and the real life story and people behind it. I love her perspective on Phyllis Kearns and her motivations for the role. Lauren also talks about why she was attracted to the part and its difference from the Lorelai character - as drama versus comedy.
Lauren Graham on Craig Ferguson

In addition to her appearance on Ellen this week, Lauren Graham visited the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night (October 2nd) to talk about Flash of Genius.
As you can see from the video above, we see a new clip from the movie (lol at the “I’d love you more if we’re rich”). Lauren Graham looks beautiful with her all-black outfit in the interview, btw. Leather looks great on her! Craig also thought it looked great too!
Lauren brought on a funny card that Craig had written to her, not sure if it was before this interview or after her last one. You have to see it in the video 
Ok, on to the interview. Which starts off with Craig “mistakenly” referring to the Golden Girls instead of the Gilmore Girls! But he kind of redeemed himself with the sexy dreams conversation.
Lauren Graham talks about taking some time off, including a recent trip to Ireland with her father. “Boy, can they pour a glass!” She and her father went on a bike trip in Ireland, because her father is “Mr. Cyclist”, a very athletic guy.
Lauren then grills Craig on his Gilmore Girls knowledge, which is not much! She brought this up because people in Ireland would recognize her from the show, but not say anything. Instead they would drop random facts about other celebrities. She tells a very precious story along these lines - you’ll love it!
Lauren is so much like Lorelai sometimes, just have to say that.

Lauren Graham will be hitting the talk show circuits, presumably to promote the theatrical release of Flash of Genius. So far, we have confirmed scheduled appearances for Ellen and for Craig Ferguson. Lauren Graham’s appearances on Ellen are always great fun, so I’m really looking forward to them.

Lauren Graham is seen on the red carpet for the premiere of her movie Flash of Genius. The premiere was held at the Bruin Theatre on September 22, 2008 in Los Angeles. Although Flash of Genius has been making the rounds of film festivals, this is the big premiere screening that is in advance of its October 3rd theatrical release date.
