Samantha Who? 2.13 “The Debt”

While with her parents in Vegas attending a real estate seminar, Samantha (Christina Applegate) loses a huge sum of money at the craps table and finds herself in debt to the casino. But a chance meeting with her ex-boss, billionaire Winston Funk (Billy Zane), could be the answer to her financial trouble. Meanwhile, when Dena (Melissa McCarthy) asks Andrea (Jennifer Esposito) for a big favor, she agrees - but only if Dena consents to fake a situation that could help boost Andrea’s sagging public approval ratings as she plans her wedding to pro-basketball player Tony Dane (McKinley Freeman).

Samantha Who? 2.11 “The Dog”

Sam (Christina Applegate) wants a baby, but she settles for a babysitting one of Dena’s (Melissa McCarthy) dogs to see if you has any motherly instincts. Howard (Kevin Dunn) and Regina (Jean Smart) inherit a plane, which causes Regina to take flying lessons.

It looks like Samantha Who? is returning tonight with a whole new order of episodes! They are not playing “The Rock Star,” as I expected, but a new episode called “My Best Friend’s Boyfriend”

In this episode, Todd (Barry Watson) discovers something peculiar about Andrea (Jennifer Esposito)’s pro basketball-playing date and Sam (Christina Applegate) decides to meddle in his affairs to keep Andrea from getting hurt. Check out a preview:

ABC is giving us a treat this week by airing two new episodes back to back tonight!

In “The Park“, Sam tries to make herself appear to be an environmentalist, so Owen might like her more. Andrea doesn’t fare well when the basketball player, Tony Dane, is looking for a date.

In the next episode, “The Family Vacation“, it’s clear things don’t go quite as planned with Owen. Sam, he heart broken, goes on a family vacation - with Andrea and Dena in tow - and discovers that the owner of the lodge is an old flame from her forgotten youth. But not wanting to get her heart broken again, she resists the temptation of reconnecting with lodge owner Brad and then becomes jealous when Andrea makes a move on him.

Samantha Who? 2.06 “The Ex”

Despite a lack of appearance in the last episode, Sam is still dating Owen (James Tupper). Owen finds out that Sam lives with ex-boyfriend Todd. Things get messier, however, when Sam discovers that Owen’s best friend is also his ex-girlfriend, Willow. When a romantic spark ignites between Todd and Willow, Sam finds herself becoming jealous and must decide which man is most important in her life. Meanwhile, Dena tries her best to shoot a flattering picture of an non-photogenic Andrea in order to secure her a date with a hunky pro-basketball player.

Samantha Who? 2.05 “Help!”

Samantha is arrested, after an altercation with a cop, and is given community service. She meets Natalie (Mary-Kate Olsen), a troubled young woman. Sam feels that it’s her duty to help the wayward Natalie turn her life around, in spite of warnings from Andrea that Natalie’s a bad seed who can’t be turned. Meanwhile, even though Todd insists that they’re just friends now, Howard offers advice on how to win back Samantha’s affections.

Desperate for some cash and in need of a job, Samantha reluctantly agrees to team up with Regina and start a real estate business. But while Sam strives to stick to her path of morality, her handsome first client, Owen (Guest Star: James Tupper), could end up throwing her off course. Meanwhile, Andrea tries to seduce Todd’s disheveled friend, Seth, in order to obtain the phone number of a professional basketball player.

In addition to the spoilers for the next episode, Melissa McCarthy gave an interview to TV Guide about what we can expect from Dena this season. Like, will we ever know what Dena does for a living?

“I’ve pitched that she’s a parole officer, just so I could use mace or a Taser.”

Also, how will Dena’s relationship with Chase evolve? Will Dena and Andrea fight it out (Dena hopes so, with another taser reference!). Also, in reference to Gilmore Girls, Melissa says she’s dying to know what the last line would have been too!

On tomorrow’s episode of Samantha Who?, Samantha’s doctor Dr. Andy (Tony Hale) gives her pills from a clinical trial to help her with her memory loss. As a result, Sam begins to regain some memory fragments - all reminding her of the bad Sam. Samantha rediscovers one pleasant reminder from her past that could have changed her life forever.

Andrea and Dena (Melissa McCarthy) are mistaken for a gay couple, which rather offends Andrea. So Andrea decides to try to prove that she could hook up with a much hotter woman than Dena. Read more

In this episode of Samantha Who?, Sam decides to go to Africa to help those in need - turning over another new leaf in the “good” Sam book. However, when she learns how many vaccinations she’d need and how many obstacles there were to going on the trip, she changes her mind. But feels really bad about it, and about saving face.

So, instead of Africa, Samantha hides out with Andrea and Dena so nobody would know she didn’t go!
